The Grand Solmar is the new standard of luxury in Cabo San Lucas. Thoughtfulness and thoroughness are the trademarks of this grand resort. Every detail was considered right down to the intricate designs in the walkways, the stone entries to the rooms and the construction of subterranean passages so the busy staff does not interrupt relaxing guests. The award-winning design combines the grace of old world architecture with carefully crafted modern style. And the location will leave you speechless. A natural cliff forms the backdrop and guides guests to a lobby complete with a spectacular view of the mighty Pacific Ocean. From here, you can see pelicans soaring over golden sands and sailboats scooting across blue waves. Just feet away is the very tip of the Baja Peninsula in all its sun-drenched glory.

The Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa garners high marks for its spotless environment and pristine rooms, with housekeeping receiving consistent praise for their meticulous efforts. Despite some guests feeling the resort is pricey, particularly when unexpected fees arise, the array of amenities—including stunning pools and a luxurious spa—is frequently lauded.
The attentive and warm service, coupled with a prime beachfront location near local attractions, enhances the guest experience. However, occasional service hiccups and room maintenance issues are noted, even as the vibrant atmosphere and live events enrich stays.

Facilities are top notch. Restaurants on property serve a variety of great food in different settings. But the people really make it - Juanjo and Domingo the pool butlers, Judith and Abel at the concierge desk, Manny and Roberto greeting us at the valet, Astrid in the deli, the many friendly servers- Adán, Tebby, Fernando, Francisco, Heriberto, Isaac, Ismael, Jesús David, Viktor, Ranulfo and Jonathan to name a few.

After all these months of lockdown, we were excited to be able to travel to Cabo. The resort was COVID-19 ready. They checked our temperature upon arrival and whenever we returned to the resort. The service was superb! The minute you arrive the staff is ready to assist and friendly. The check-in is located in a beautiful Mexican architectural lobby. The minute we walked into our suite we were impressed with the decor, the mobile phone key technology, the size of the room (1300 sq ft), and the view from our balcony. The resort is well maintained with gorgeous infinity pools, breathtaking Pacific Ocean, and sunrise views. The early morning walk on the beach is highly recommended. We visited all the onsite restaurants during our stay. We love love love La Roca restaurant (must try the fish) not just for the view but for the amazing food and the superb services. You can dine inside the restaurant or dine out on the patio (be sure to make a reservation or may need to wait, but it is worth the wait).
The resort is also part of a timeshare. The timeshare representative didn't pester us which we greatly appreciate. We didn't opt for All-Inclusive during our stay. The resort is located up on the hill, but the walk down to the Marina was quite easy and close by. If you don't like to walk, the bellman is happy to get you a taxi van for $8 USD each way. The resort has done a great job with onsite security. All vehicles are recorded when they enter the premises. We highly recommend this resort!!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Solmar in early July 2020. The resort was beyond expectations. In fact, we loved it so much, we headed home, invited friends and family and returned two weeks later. From the time we checked in, Manny took care of us and made sure the whole process was trouble free and first class. The desk staff were courteous and efficient. This resort is immaculate from the hand raked sand to the cleanliness of the rooms and all amenities. Special care to wipe down every barbell in the weight room after each use to wiping the pool hand rails to disinfecting our bags at arrival was much appreciated. We met many people who have traveled to this resort multiple times and we can definitely see why. The infinity pools (4) closeness to the crashing waves along with the pacific breeze made the weather and location perfect. This place is AWESOME!!! Find Manny when you get there and he will make your stay one to remember.

I’m currently on Day 6 of my 8 day stay here.
We are staying in a presidential suite with my wife, 2 yr old daughter and 17 year old nanny/friend.
Our room is 2 full bedrooms and an office space that has a queen size Murphy bed. More than enough room for us. Another couple was supposed to come but one of their passports did not make it in time for the trip due to the delay from Covid.
I’ve stayed in many luxury resorts and had great service at different places. This is the most luxury and best service I have received ever at the same time from the same place.
It usually takes me a few days to unwind and relax from traveling but by day 2 I felt relaxed because they literally take care of everything!
I called to ask where the dish soap was and they sent someone up right away to wash whatever we needed. I asked where the ice machine was, they sent a bag of ice to my room. I asked for some towel to use when we went to a public beach off the resort and they gave me towels along with an ice chest and beach umbrella.
I haven’t tested this, but if I watched tv here they would probably change the channel for me if I asked! lol
Everyone is so enjoyable and friendly on staff. And I’m not sure if this is just because we have the presidential suite, but we have our own personal concierge. So if I need anything on or off the resort I just text her and she takes care of it for me!
We also attended the sales presentation for ownership at the resort. We did not purchase since we already are an owner elsewhere but I will say who we dealt with were not overly pushy on their tactics and we were done in less than 2.5 hours.
The beach here is not one you can swim in but it is still beautiful and we got some amazing senior photos from location here in property.
If I ever return to Cabo we will be staying here.

Returning to Grand Solmar annually, seems like we have returned to our second home. The totally professional attitude throughout the resort symbolizes that your satisfaction is their ultimate goal.
I want to recognize some of the people who made our annual stay so enjoyable. Upon arrival, you are greeted by Manny, the bell captain and his support staff including Roberto, Christian or Saul to name a few. They efficiently take your luggage and supplies for safe keeping including refrigeration if necessary until your facility is ready. They have a smile, speak great English and call you by name.
As you register at the front desk, you may be greeted by a smiling supervisor, Laura and her capable staff. Not only do they check you in and out, they also exchange currency, have tokens for laundry mats, and can direct you to certain staff for information. The concierge, Eduardo is near by to make reservations, answer questions, and suggest any number of available activities in the Cabo area. Supervisor Erika Princz and her customer service staff are very professional in keeping accurate and up to date records of owner history and current reservations. The entire facility is immaculate and constantly being cleaned, painted and polished. The housekeeping staff do a thorough daily cleaning, providing fresh towels and are very accommodating, all with a smile on their face. General Manager Humberto must be very proud of the staff as everyone seems to enjoy their work as they do it with a smile. IT SHOWS THE DESIRE TO PLEASE!

Grand Solmar Land’s End is a beautiful resort with excellent service. The resort was very well sanitized and all staff wore mask with daily temperature readings for guest. Despite the current environment the resort still managed to operate a full service offering and all of the amenities were open and able for guests to enjoy. You will be offered to sit through a presentation upon arrival in exchange for resort credits, golf, spa, etc. but we declined this offer as we have heard the presentation can be quite lengthy. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

We visited Grand Solmar during the week before the airlines said there would be no more flights into or out of Mexico due to COVID-19. We reluctantly cut our two week trip in half, wishing we could stay even a third week to enjoy this beautiful resort with its wonderful location and its outstanding staff!
From the moment we arrived, the friendly and attentive bellmen greeted us with “Welcome home” and set the tone for a great stay. We especially look forward to seeing Manny, Saul, and Roberto who always attend to our caravan of luggage with great care, enthusiasm, and courtesy.
We love to hang out at Las Brisas for lunch for the really good food and the ambiance. The waiters there are attentive without being overbearing and make sure that we are comfortable. The potato salad is a ten!
The rooms/suites are impeccable with housekeeping staff that are truly proud of the results they achieve. The turn down service is a nice perk also.
We can’t wait to return “home” again in January for a two week visit.

We have been going to Cabo for 15 years. We were a little nervous under the current circumstances but went anyway. SO glad we did! We actually felt safer in Cabo and specifically at Grand Sol Mar than we do at home in Texas. They are extremely conscience about sanitizing everything and checking guests and employees before entering the resort. As always, Manny and Reberto were there to greet us and recommend/help with anything we needed. We know we are "home" when we arrive and they welcome us back. The only down side , which has always been an issue, is the service at La Roca. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to get breakfast for 2 when there are only 4 other tables taken at the restaurant. Other than that, I can't say enough about this resort!

We absolutely love Grand Solmar!! We have been coming to Grand solmar for 8 years!! The first time we visited Cabo we bought a 2 bedroom penthouse timeshare at Grand Solmar lands end! We knew the moment we visited we would want to keep coming back year after year.. From the moment we arrive every year we feel like we are royalty.. Manny welcomes us home upon arrival to resort! Our sons have grown up here!! My youngest was only 2 years old when we first started coming. The resort grounds are meticulously kept up to stay groomed and beautiful! The rooms are spotless and everyone we come in contact with is so friendly and eager to make sure we feel welcome and at home while we are there. Grand Solmar’s infinity pools are spotless and we have breathtaking views of the Pacific. There is room for everyone.. whether you are coming as a couple or with your whole family.. we can’t wait to get back!!

I was looking for a place within walking distance to the marina and came across Grand Solmar. It did not disappoint! While the room was not cheap, it was huge and very well appointed with a huge balcony directly facing the ocean. The property is beautifully designed, very clean and well-maintained and the service was outstanding from start to finish.
Multiple infinity pools facing the ocean and we could see whales every day. In fact, I recommend bringing a pair of binoculars for even better viewing.
This is a timeshare property and most people there were either owners or taking a tour/sales presentation. While they did ask us a couple of times to attend the "owners breakfast" (i.e. sales pitch) we politely declined and it there was no real pressure.
Ten minute walk to the marina for restaurants, shopping, etc.
We also booked scuba diving and snorkeling excursions through their concierge website and we were very happy with the company's they book this activities through.
One thing to keep in mind is that this property is on the Pacific side and the beach is not really swimable. Huge waves that break right on the beach. However, for the slightly adventurous you can climb over the rocks to the south/west of the property (easier than they look once you get going) and wind up at Lover's Beach on the Sea of Cortez side. Very nice sandy beach and swimming there and you can also take a walk further up the beach towards Pelican Rock to see the sea lions barking and sun bathing.
If I head back to Cabo, I would definitely plan to stay at Grand Solmar again.

The Marina and Marina Mall Supermarkets ARE walkable from the Grand Solmar LE resort. The Marina is perhaps a 1/4 mile walk to the wide paved promenade which goes around the entire Marina. A couple of supermarkets are at the Marina Mall area and you can UBER back or taxi back with your groceries.
The deepest part might be 5 foot deep.
You are asked but can politely decline.
The hotel can arrange a return shuttle for you. It is not included so there is a fee. We went back in a 12ish passenger van with other guests from Grand Sol Mar. We do this every year.
I never do meal plans because I like to go to local food places which are a short walk from there
