Stayed here 2 weeks in a separate 1 bdrm. Clean and quiet but needs a renovation... pretty worn out. Don't plan on cooking in your unit because very limited cooking utensils. Tiny bowls and cups too. Only ate at resort once so can't comment on food and drinks. Difficult to find

Beautiful resort grounds and pools, great service at the pools (Eulices) and spacious, upscale accomodations. Our server Antonio Solorio at Brigantine Steak House, however, made our last night’s dinner experience unforgettable - top notch service, pleasant conversation, and he

We vacation at Grand Solmar but always treat ourselves to a visit to the spa at the neighboring Playa Grande. The spa’s ambience is hushed and peaceful, the seawater pool is relaxing, and the massages are always excellent. Special shout out to Marci and Mario who made my recent

yes, like the comment before, you can go south, climb over some rocks and get to Lover's Beach. However, you will be looking at the back of the Arch. You'll be starting at what it looks like a mountain of rocks and under all of that is the Arch. In order to see the Arch (as it shows in pictures) you need to get on the side of it. It just so happens that both sides are on water. So you'll have to get a boat ride to see it. if you attend a Timeshare with your hotel, you'll get huge discounts on activities around town. I wouldn't recommend you purchase timeshare but its just my opinion. regardless of buying timeshare or not, you still get the discounts and free breakfast.

We used a private company “Transportation for Less” and they were awesome and less expensive than most for private direct transaction in a large SUV. They have a cooler with beer and water in their vehicles. But if you book the hotel shuttle it is not free and will cost you more.

I used the transport provided via Playa Grande both to and from the airport. For the airport pick up, I booked with them online and they add the fee to your room bill. The provide good info on where the meet-up spot is located for check-in. DO NOT let them try to lure you in to a phony "check in" counter at the airport, it's a time share scam. For our trip back to the airport we booked with the concierge a few days prior to departure, again they put the charge on our bill. All very easy. The shuttle is for their resorts, so it only makes 4 stops, Playa Grande was the third stop coming from the airport. The trip took 45 minutes once we were in the van. They offered cold cervesa during the ride, for a gratuity :) For the trip back to the airport, our van was filled up at Playa Grande and we didn't make any add'l pick-ups.
