This is our third visit to Hotel El Ganzo and it did not disappoint. The setting, views, and amenities are exceptional. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoy the guests as well that we meet at the pool. It’s really nice to be in an adults only property and have a private beach with free cabanas. The views from the rooftop pool are absolutely stunning. The rooms are rather spartan, but extremely comfortable and clean. Very chill vibes. We find it to be very romantic in Close proximity to five star resorts and downtown art District in San Jose Del Cabo. It’s also just a 20 minute Uber ride to the airport.

I’ve stayed at the Hotel El Ganzo twice, and both times I arrived stressed and desperately in need of downtime, and left feeling relaxed, restored, invigorated, and cared for. During the pandemic, they have been extremely safe and taken all possible precautions to protect guests, so I’ve had complete peace of mind. The staff goes above and beyond in every single interaction, and to say they are dog friendly is an understatement…more like your dog will feel like it is also on a luxury vacation! I love that the hotel is tucked in a smallish village away from the crowds of tourists, but even with its serene location, the hotel offers daily entertainment - mezcal tastings, live music, flamenco nights, and yoga classes. The spa is excellent and the giant soaker bathtub in the room means it’s hard not to relax and let those stresses wash away. Unlike many luxury hotels in Cabo, you can actually swim at El Ganzo’s beach, and the entrance to the beach is part of a nicely maintained 1.6 mile walking trail, if you want to enjoy a sunset stroll along the marina and soak up the mountainous skyline. Finally, the food! So many varieties for all palates - especially those with dietary restrictions - and it’s so healthy that I miraculously always manage to lose a few pounds, even though I feel like I’m pigging out. I honestly scratch my head that anyone wants to stay anywhere else, but I guess if you’re looking for crowds, nightclubs, hordes of sunburned bodies crowded around a greasy all you can eat buffet, and a basic vacation then… go find your bliss elsewhere! El Ganzo is a unique, happy, place, and you’ll never have a care or complaint as long as you’re there.

It was perfect for celebrating 40th bd with our friends. Gorgeous property, simplistic, artsy, zen-like, never too crowded with beautiful swimmable beach, bicycles to go around the island. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi were so relaxing and amazing. The entire stay felt like we were guests at some private property. Turn down service at night with lovely cookies and bath salt every night. All rooms overlooking the ocean ....Would come back in a heart beat ! 10 min $6 Uber ride to San Jose and lovely restaurants around ( Acre, Flora farms...) 30 min to the airport. Free rental car parking.

The Hotel El Ganzo was a wonderful experience all around. I was blown away by the quality of the food and drinks (and the coffee!) Everything was delicious and you can tell they use high quality ingredients and make everything homemade. The atmosphere and vibe of the rooftop pool and beach area were relaxing, calm, and welcoming. The art inside the hotel is fascinating, too - you can walk through the halls and see all different kinds of modern art from local artists. If you look at the prices and find them to be expensive, just know that you are paying for a premium location with premium amenities. The cost was worth it for me because it was truly a memorable experience and a vacation I will never forget.

We had the chance to travel without our two children for a quick five day getaway. El Ganzo is located on the San Jose del Cabo Marina in a quiet location. The beach club is great with easy access to swimmable waters. The pool on the roof gives guests nice views of the marina and beyond. Downtown San Jose is five minutes away and is in close distance to several farm to table restaurants. The hotel has the friendliest staff that takes care of its guests on par with a luxury all-inclusive resort. Overall it was a great experience. We will definitely visit again!

If you like cheesy Art Deco and overpriced cocktails. This is your spot. The boat noise didn’t really bother us too much. However last night there were 10 people in the jacuzzi , there were 7 Mexican people that were in the jacuzzi for over 3 hours. Two people from Austin and a few from our party. They came by and asked us and the 2 from Austin to get out and did not bother to ask the others to get out. This is super petty , but it was really offensive. Here is another thing that really bugs me. First of all I am a big tipper during COVID and don’t mind throwing down for great service. They added automatic 20% gratuity for mediocre service. Also they do not let you bring in any beverages into your own hotel room and they charged us $100 for 6 drinks. Food was good but no vegetarian dishes.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Extremely thoughtful details throughout the property, from design elements to functional amenities. The rooftop pool is one of a kind
For the money, you get incredible value. The rooms (we stayed in a ocean view king) are small but really all you need. Comfy beds, cool rooms (temp and layout/artwork), great balckout shades and filter shades so you can leave the doors open all day and enjoy the breeze.
Food also was incredible. Amazing coffee. Every bite I had at the pool or the restaurant downstairs was delicious.
Staff was accommodating and kind. We were visiting with a huge group and they were patient with our needs and handled some very late/loud nights with grace.

The perfect marriage of place and hospitality indeed: we were here for our daughter’s wedding. The events planner, the concierge, waiters and housecleaning staff were professional and personable. The location is as relaxing as it is beautiful while offering a variety of outdoor activities. The rooms are comfortable with stunning views and original art. We have already decided to make this an annual visit.

I came across this hotel when i was looking for suggestions for resorts with swimmable beaches in Cabo. And i enjoyed my stay so much. Manuel, Zeltsen, Paola were very friendly and tried to help in any ways they can. The whole team is super accommodating. Rooms cleaned 2 times a day and every day some sweet treat was left in the room. I loved private beach with clean sand, convenient shore and calm water , gazebos, small boats that run every minute and one day the boat returned half way back when they say us approaching the dock, dishes with fish. The hotel is 10 min away from the San Jose Cabo and i used uber or taxi to get to live entertainment. They have some days of live performances at the hotel as well. Already told everyone at work about this nice gem.

I visited San Jose del Cabo for the first time with 4 girlfriends last week. This hotel was recommended to us by a local friend and boy oh boy it did not disappoint. This hotel checked all 5 of our boxes and then some. The staff was friendly, attentive and followed all Covid guidelines. It was such a relief to discover a safe respectful environment. I wish I could remember all of the names of the staff as each and every person made our stay extra special. The art in the lobby was tasteful & plentiful. From the giant rotating wood door to the prism box it was a visual delight. The rooftop pool is such a sanctuary with shaded cabanas or full sun pool lounges. The drinks were delicious, particularly the house made pina colada which was light & refreshing as opposed to the standard sweet milkshake. The fresh shrimp were huge and flavorful. The beach club was our go to as well. The water is so calm and soothing. You could stay in there all day. They also offer donation based yoga on the lagoon alongside the beach club. The instructor was impeccable providing a truly enjoyable experience that we were all so glad we made time for. We heard a live band in the lobby on Friday night. They too blew us away with their talent and the magic in the air they created. The female vocalist had the voice of an angel. All the farm to table restaurants on our foodie list were off a dirt road at the foot hills of the mountains less than 10 min drive away. Downtown San Jose was approx 8 min away. We originally planned to venture out to explore surrounding cities during our week long stay but we ended up staying local. The area simply has so much to offer and is highly accessible. All 5 of us are already planning a return visit to Hotel El Ganzo.

No worries, the hotel has stairs but I recommend you make a request to be on our 1st or 2nd floor when booking so you don't feel too much work out going up and down the stairs, We'll be happy to accommodate you according to your needs. See you soon!
