Walking the coastal path, this lovely pub was perfectly in the right place for us. We sat outside and enjoyed fish and chips. The staff were really helpful, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely friendly pub with good accommodation. Stayed for two nights in a superior room, very comfortable large room with a fantastic sea view. Staff friendly and helpful, good quality breakfast with a good choice. we had dinner one night with friends and this was also good and very quick service.

Just yards away from a sandy beach so ideal for holiday makers. A good amount to choose from on the menu. The place was rather busy but it was nice to be able to sit outside as it was sunny. A little pricey for what we had but the food was very good.

Dropped in for tea and coffee. Friendly service and good coffee and great tea. One of the only places we found that did loose leaf tea! Wasn't busy so don't know what it would be like in high season but much more relaxed then the place next door.

We visited here twice this month. Once for lunch, four of us plus two labradors. The staff were amazingly attentive to us and the dogs! The food was great - the chips possibly the best we've ever had. However, dining there in the evening was a completely different experience. It was moderately busy, not packed. The guy who took our...

Walked. from Bolberry in thick mist, entered Hope Cove and the sun came through. Found the refurbished Hope and Anchor and were immediately impressed by a friendly staff greeting, and offer of an outside table. Very enthusiastic and efficient service, and good quality lunch food and drinks. Crab sandwiches, jacket spuds, plough mans were all very good and passing full...

We're staying in Hope Cove right now. This is our third year in a row. Tonight's experience was a real disappointment. Like last night, there's self indulgent live music. What a nightmare. It's intrusive, less than mediocre and unnecessary. The service is as described by others - bland, derivative and ordinary. It could be so much better. The uniqueness of...

What a fantastic pub, a most eclectic recent renovation/refit, absolutely spot on given its location. A fabulous bar with open fires, first floor restaurant with stunning views from the balcony and a theatre style kitchen. Really friendly staff, great food and well kept ales. Must confess St Austell have done it again with this one, what a gem in yet...
