We had a magical view from our cabin. Beautiful and scenic.. only downside is we didn't catch a trout but plenty to see. The staff were so helpful particularly when we locked the keys in the boot of our hire car. They helped with phone calls and arrangements to get help to get us back on the road. Thank you... More

A wet and cold weekend at the lake was saved by a cosy tourist cabin at the Holiday Park. Equipped with everything you could need for a weekend of chilling even a heat pump. Awesome friendly staff and well stocked shop. If you're going to be stuck inside at least you've got a million dollar view. And then we got... More

We stayed in one of the chalets the night before and the night after doing the great walk around the lake. Being winter, the place didn't appear to be busy. I was disappointed with the general condition of the unit...worn stained carpet (a whole patch replaced by a grubby looking piece in one corner), window ledges with accumulated grime, the... More

I stayed here with my daughter back in March 2016 whilst travelling around the North Island. We drove in from the East Coast and stayed overnight before moving on to Tokomaru Bay. The road into Waikaremoana was not sealed and care was required as there had been a heavy rainfall. We arrived just before reception was due to close but... More

We arrived here on the first day of the year 2016. The road from Rotorua was long and in the end narrow and quite scary, but this holiday park was worth the trip. It is isolated in a way that is rare these days, for it has no decent 3G internet connection. This means that you can truly relax and... More

Wasn't expecting either tbh, but just for people's info. Rented a holiday chalet for 5 for 100 dollars which was fair enough. Everything was OK apart from hot rings on microwave oven thing didn't get hot. Lots of building work going on, looked like an extension to site. Beware the road in, it's in a pretty poor condition.

This is an isolated and beautiful area. The staff at the park were very friendly and helped sort out accommodating a large group. The campsites were on the edge of the lake with easy access to the water for swimming, kayaking and fishing. The large kitchen had lots of bench space, fridges etc, and the toilets and showers were clean... More

A warm welcome from friendly staff sets the tone for Waikeremoana Holiday Park. Well maintained and very clean site and facilities make this an ideal retreat to tramp, swim, fish or just relax. Nice little camp shop with all of the basics to keep you going. Very limited 3G reception (in the middle of the lake, only!) ensures your tranquility.

Everything about this park is good- the location, customer service, range of food available at the shop(considering the remote location/for the big walk). The manager sets the standard for the customer service- warm and genuine. we stayed in the "Fisherman cabin"-the room is very good with excellent view of the lake
