enjoyed my 5 nights at Hotel Estefania in the charming city of Morelia, Michoacán. A family owned small hotel who made my stay very pleasant. I would describe it simple accommodation but pleasant nonetheless. It's In the city center but about a 15 minute walk or more to the Cathedral but that walking was fine for me. The Aqueduct is... To be honest, I chose this hotel because of the bargain price and the hotel's location. I didn't realize that it would offer so much more! For starters: free Wifi, cable TV that actually works!, free breakfast (coffee available any time between 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM). My room was spotless, and indeed the whole building is immaculately maintained. But... More

This hotel is striking distance from the tourist sights, which is very convenient. However, it's not the most welcoming area at night. The 24/7 hotel staff sitting literally across the inner "courtyard" from my bedroom door made me feel plenty safe. Plus, there's a Mersa across the street for snacks and traveler needs. Road outside is noisy but quieted down... More

The hotel is located within walking distance of the downtown area and rather inexpensive. Definitely nothing fancy, but perfect if you're in town for business and just need a place to sleep. The rooms on the top floor can get somewhat warm, so make sure to ask for a room on the first floor.

We stayed at the Hotel Estefania (on Plan de Ayala) for 2 nights while we shopped and toured Morelia. We found that the walking distance to the Aqueduct area with its restaurants & shops was very convenient. The Hotel was nice and clean and came with a great price. We had a king-sized bed on the 3rd floor. There is... More
