This is not the 4-star resort you are looking for. However, if you want to be literally at the base of the ski run, then it makes up for the dated and rustic "resort". Difficult to find from the road. You have to have 100 euro cash to check in, otherwise you will have to walk past the front of the resort to a random hidden atm by the ski school. Best thing about the place is location right next to the gondola. Other than that, think more like winter/summer camp vibes. The place is pretty dated and worn down, the best is a murphy bed that is pulled down from the wall. If you're here to just ski and not care where you sleep, this is your place

I've been here with the family (my wife and a 3 years old kid) for a ski week. Even if the apart-hotel looks really '80, and maybe deserves a renovation, we had one of the best vacation of our life!
Located DIRECTLY on the slopes, there is no need of transportation from and to the ski resort. Just 5 minutes to wear the skis and you are ready to go. In addition, there are a swimming pool (with saunas) and a gym.
The restaurant and the bar are good as well, the food is tasty and there are several options for each meal.
But the true attraction here is the staff!!! There is something to do for everyone and every taste throughout the day. From kids club to ski tours, from excursions to aqua-gym, from darts to "sbrindelloccio" every day is a party!
And every evening a new show. Entertainment level pro.
We probably found our winter vacation resort for the next few years.

The room was average, seems clean, bur the real problem it was the location. During the night groups of young people turned the play room (that is supposed to be for kids) into a party room....pity that the wall wasn't really a wall, but a wooden wall, and all I could hear for four (4!!!) nights was people yelling at each other and get drunk...a nightmare! But the real problem start when I ask the receptionist to solve the problem....she totally refuses to cooperate, in the end it seem up that I am the bad one, that I don't allow people to act crazy next to my bed, until 3 a.m.!
It was a very frustrating experience, I had to discuss with the personnel to convince them that I had problems with sleeping. I hope for future travellers to take a lot of patience with them, in the trolley...you will need!

Il Vigo di Marilleva Apart Hotel are located at the entrance of "vilage" Marileva 900 on the left side. The apartments are very small (French type). Cleanliness of the apartment was not on the level .... The staff on the reception is very nice. In the apartment wifi is a disaster, actually wif exist. Each Aparmant has parking place in the semi open Garage!

The hotel is old but and in need of renovation however the 'animators' make up for the what the physical plant lacks with their lively programs that include daily excursions to parks around the area and nightly shows for adults and children. Even though we don't speak Italian we really enjoyed the shows. Wifi only in lobby and works intermittently especially in afternoon

It is only saved by the location, the staff tries to put patches in holes that in my opinion are now too big. It needs a very, very careful renovation, it's falling apart, it's anything but dated. Apartments (perhaps better to call them rooms) are tiny, carpeted, the double bed is little more than a sofa bed, there is no real bedroom, in theory it is formed with a ridiculous folding wall. The bunk bed is practically attached to the wall, there is no danger of falling if you lean against the wall. Boo we were left like this for a bit, a really dated structure. The entertainment is there, but it's all a scream, a verse, a wee, hooo, come on, they hope to involve you by offering/throwing alcohol into your mouth, maybe it's us who haven't understood them, it could be. The location is excellent nothing to say.
The swimming pool is uncommentable, the water and the environment are cold, the temperature in the common areas is objectively too low but I think it is due to the thermal dispersion of the windows which are almost everywhere.
The unusable kitchen, dishwasher from at least 20 years ago (maybe 30), the pitiful electric stove, we spent more time scraping the pans than eating, everything sticks and only cooks in the centre, a delirium. Then every now and then in the structure as in the bathroom there are red lamps that perhaps in the 80s were used for heating, but I'm not sure. In any case, having spent relatively little but not worth a penny more, we paid €500 for a week at the end of January.
