A real child friendly, dog friendly, relaxing home. Three generations stayed here and we all loved every minute. None of us wanted to leave. The owners are really friendly and helpful. Beautiful countryside and great facilities.
Stayed here with my partner for the second year in a row for our anniversary and engagement. Last year 'Flint' and this year 'Bothy' - both lovely little cottages for different reasons. The pool is an excellent addition, particularly as we had it to ourselves...More
We stayed as a group of 17 which included 7 young children. The place was perfect for us, the kids loved the outdoor space, plenty of toys and games to play and the swimming pool was fantastic. The house is also great and large enough...More
We spent four days in The Bothy in late April with our two Springer Spaniels and we were absolutely delighted with the warm welcome we received and the comfortable and well appointed cottage. Everything was of a very high standard (especially the home made cake...More

I'm looking to stay somewhere while visiting the Great Dorset Steam Fair next year. I plan to arrive on Thursday 1st September, and leave on Sunday 4th September. On Trip Advisor, I can't click on the date 4/9/16 - it's greyed-out. Is the period I want bookable? Can you tell me what the accommodation price would be? - I'll be on my own.

You could go to the farms own website and click a room and then click ` book online.` It will come up with the rooms that are still available on the dates you require. All the rooms are very comfortable but our favourite is Orchard! I think it is about £75 per night for a single person - not sure if that is the same for all the rooms but the website will tell you. It might be a bit expensive but it is very close to the steam fair. You can also have a good meal at the Launceston Arms which is very close to the farmhouse. You will need to go by car to the farm etc. Hope you manage to find somewhere suitable.
