The Lamorna Cove Hotel

Certificate of Excellence
The Lamorna Cove Hotel is a boutique collection of self catering apartments nestled above the glorious, historic and world famous Lamorna Cove. Take a dip in our amazing crystal clear outdoor pool with far reaching valley and sea views and then relax on one of the loungers and watch the yachts and fishing boats sail out to sea. Walk though our private wooded valley down to the small beach and harbour at Lamorna Cove in approximately 5 mins. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner or just a Cornish tipple whist waiting for the Mermaid of Lamorna to appear on Mermaid's Rock. You can explore the cove itself or have access to Cornwalls legendary coastal path. The Local Pub, the famous Lamorna Wink, is a 2 minute walk though our private garden. They serve good food by a local chef and have a good selection of local Cornish ales. Whatever you choose to do, The Lamorna Cove Hotel is the perfect base in which to enjoy the best that the far west of Cornwall has to offer.

I stayed here with my wife and son. We had major health issues with our room and Simon the manager at the time tried to resolve the issue but then had to go on leave. 2 months later the management have failed to respond to my emails having promised a full refund. I cannot believe

We stayed for one night in October, arrived for check in at 7.30pm and there was no staff in sight. Searched the hotel for a good 40 minutes and struggled to call an out of hours number (that was sign posted in reception) as there is little to no mobile signal (so a good getaway

I stayed one night, unexpectedly, after bad weather delayed my journey from the Scillies and it was too late to start a 4 hour drive. I was rather caught out to find it is not a hotel at all, despite the name, but self-contained apartments with no bar, restaurant, or staff. The

The hotel itself was ok, yes a little run down but for the price that was fine, but we purposely chose a ground floor apartment with a patio so it would be suitable for our dog. We also decided to pay a bit more to upgrade to one with a sea view. Upon arrival we realised we had n

The building from the outside looks lovely. But when we arrived there we retrieved the key and tried to find the apartment. Some simple signs just pointing you in the right direction would have been helpful.

When we found apartment 6, it was a lovely clean, large space. The kit

I've been offered apartment 9. Has anyone stayed in apartment 9, what's it like? TA
Can't get through to reception. Does any one know roughly how much a room cost per night? TA
Hi, Had an apartment with seaview for £150 a night. Better to email them. No receptionist when we were there. But replied to our emailed quite fast. Have fun.

we are thinking about booking this hotel for June, is there a dog friendly beach nearby?
Alot of the beaches in Cornwall are not dog friendly from 1st April to October, so whilst out of season there are a number nearby, come June your options are more restricted. There is a good website thecornishcoast which has a map of all yr round dog friendly beaches so you can orientate from that in relation to Lamorna Cove.

Hi is this a good base for reaching other parts of Cornwall? As it is self catered how often are staff in the building? Did it feel safe as I am planning to travel with my two daughters? Many thanks
Hi, as is mostly the case with Cornwall you will need to drive to see the sites unless you wish to enjoy a beautiful walk along the Cornwall Coast Path. Staff are always available by email should you have any enquiries during your stay but otherwise will be there with you for check-in and check-out. We would love to welcome you and your daughters to Lamorna Cove and look forward to hearing from you. The Cove Team
