Impressive Punta Cana garners praise for its pristine beachfront location and a variety of dining and entertainment options. However, guests have called out the aggressive sales pitches, problematic Wi-Fi, and slow check-in process. While the cleanliness of the beach and grounds is a highlight, some guests have experienced inconsistent housekeeping. Many find the additional cost for premium upgrades unwarranted, citing service issues. The atmosphere is lively, though some suggest improvements in the entertainment schedule and selection. Room complaints include AC problems and maintenance issues, despite their spaciousness, and service is often described as disorganized and slow.

Nice, green area! Two large swimming pools, a beautiful and clean beach with a pier. Excellent entry into the ocean. There are breakwaters along the perimeter, so the waves don’t knock you off your feet. The sand was white, there were no algae or living creatures along the bottom before the buoys.

There are parties on the beach and in the pool.
There is an entertainment program in the evening.
They have a nightclub, but we didn’t like it there, the music played either, as usual, bachata or just really tut tut klubeshnik.

There are 4 restaurants on site (in addition to the main one where everyone eats) where you can sign up for dinner. In general, eat calmly in the main restaurant, it’s very tasty, there’s a lot of choice and every day of the week is scheduled by country. There was seafood every day - squid and mussels. Shrimps appeared exactly three times a week, there were even oysters.

The room has everything you need, excellent mattresses, super comfortable, a working shower, hot water is constant.

Room cleaning is standard. Don't forget to throw the towel on the floor if you want it replaced. The only thing is that the bar was not always completely updated, well, that’s not a big deal, if we needed something, we just called the reception (if we got an English speaker) and asked to update the bar and within an hour someone would come. We left $1-2 as a tip.

We bought excursions from a girl living in the Dominican Republic, whom we found on the Internet: Julia Olonen, in the search you can immediately find her on the first page. She is much cheaper than the guide from the tour operator offered us. We didn’t regret at all that we found the excursions ourselves!

We are absolutely delighted with the Dominican Republic! What a beautiful country! I want to come back here again and again!!!

Good- first and foremost the staff, all are very friendly and polite and most will go that extra mile, anything needed in the room or repaired was brought within minutes. Rainer at the swim up pool was excellent, Noel at reception also very helpful and Andy in the main buffet very good along with loads of others. Gardens were kept beautiful and the beach was also very good no seaweed and very clean. Premium lunch was excellent both taste and variety. Japanese restaurant was impressive more like a show whilst cooking in front of you. Breakfasts in main buffet were brilliant lots of variety and tasty.
Not so good - main swimming pool was always full of leaves and debris there was someone cleaning it in the morning but after that no one, where as premium pool was always immaculate. Also the steps to get in were so deep you couldn’t actually use them.
Cleaners of room were actually half decent but if you wanted clean sheets you have to tell them or they are not changed, we also had to tell them to clean our balcony. Glass tops in the room are never wiped down. The queues to get in buffet were ridiculous and as a disabled person not good at all this really needs sorting out, the food was very wishwash at dinner times, and no chips for whole fortnight! Queues at the bars both normal and premium were both equally bad at night times.
Overall Would I return to this hotel…..,yes I would for the staff helpfulness most of all and with a few tweaks could be a fantastic hotel.

I looked at several resorts and ended up choosing the Impressive for the comments and photos, and also has excellent cost benefit. We did not have any kind of problem from check-in to check-out, so when you arrive you can leave your bags in the lobby and enjoy all the amenities of the Resort, as well as at the exit is just leave your bags and you can continue enjoying. There are plenty of food options, in the main buffet there are many options in coffee, lunch and dinner, but the best meals are in the restaurants with Reservation, we did so we gave entry in the room (there is a qr code available with the site that you can do everything online), my favorite were the Italian and Mexican restaurants, the reservations are made available according to the number of nights. The beach is wonderful, there is security throughout the Resort, that pier on the beach makes all the difference but it is a pity that it is closed at night because there are dinners there (I went there once and I think it was not worth it, you eat much better in the restaurants with reservations.

The bars are a little crowded and it can take time to get a drink, especially on the beach, and you have the option of choosing with or without the drink.

The staff are all friendly, we had no problem even not speaking Spanish.

To conclude, the Resort is great, the landscape is wonderful and we had no problems.

Spacious rooms but smell mouldy/humid, although cleaned every day. Not at all the services expected of a 4-star: there is not even a hairdryer in the bathroom. Superb beach, but we are very crowded (the club accommodates about 2000 people!) and there are no umbrellas (just a few palm trees set back). Nice pools, but not very clean and lacking depth (you can't swim, it's just to splash). Be careful if you lose your towel (or if they "borrow it"), it's 50 dollars (so we are not serene)!! Very friendly Coralia animation and some quality shows with outside artists. Several cocktail bars (you have to like them very sweet), but only one place to have a coffee, so there is the queue at the end of meals. The big black spot that ruined everything, despite a helpful staff (especially so bakchiche...): the restaurant! Apart from the questions of taste specific to each one, we deplored the general poor quality, overcooked meats, fish and pasta, undercooked vegetables on the contrary (well beyond the "al dente"), rarely ripe fruit, very chemical ice cream, no salt/pepper on the tables and you have to ask several times to have some, the same in the morning for coffee and hot milk which are not self-serve and which are long awaited... Most importantly, all dishes are barely warm (no hot water in the buffet bins), and conversely, when we had shrimp, they were also at room temperature, instead of being kept on ice. More a canteen than the restaurant of a 4-star, with long wait to get a table of 6 and fairly limited cleanliness (table sets not cleaned). Allergens go unreported, many dishes are unidentified or display misleading labels (e.g. beef advertised as pork). Nothing is planned for toddlers, except high chairs: besides that uncooked vegetables cannot be crushed for a baby, there is not even a microwave to heat a bottle or a small pot, you had to ask in the kitchen, where we were made very clear that it bothered them... In short, we had no fun going to eat, although it is an important aspect of a club holiday where activities are restricted. It is therefore too expensive a stay paid for so little satisfaction.

We tell you about our experience, we have gone on vacation for a week and we are two people who adapt to everything and we are not demanding but we do not like to feel cheated and that what they offer and what we pay is fulfilled. It is the responsibility of both parties to comply with the conditions.
Well, in this case, the responsibility is only the client and not the hotel service.
We tell you about our experience: when we arrived to check in, Ashley helped us and offered us the possibility of making a room upgrade for $600 more, we said no and she offered us the change with a "discount" of 50%, leaving us the premium option for $300.
First deception since it was not an offer and that was the price that appears in booking for premium, but hey nonetheless, trusting in good will, we accepted what was supposedly an offer and a commercial gesture on their part. MISTAKE.
To make the decision we took into account what was supposed to entail an improvement in services:
- Quality in the room and in the services offered. (ours was with tropical views and was supposed to be with pool or sea views)
- Service of what they call a butler, a person who is attentive and helps you with whatever you need.
- Bathrobe and slippers in the room
- Premium service in specific buffet/restaurant
- Private beach"

What have we received during those days? We explain to you point by point:
- Room: block 12 with views of the gardens at its entrance (the pool cannot be seen and the beach only if you stand half your body outside) In addition, the sheets were not changed throughout the week and in the one for two days we had We had to call room service because we didn't have towels for both of us.
- Butler service: we had Luisa, from whom we only heard something during the first two days and then, she did not contact us at any time, not even the last day.
- Bathrobe and slippers: regarding this, we requested it from Luisa on more than 4 occasions, leaving it as impossible because she always gave the answer that what we asked for was SOAP, instead of what we requested. In fact, one day a boy came to us with 4 bars of soap. We left it as impossible because there came a time when we didn't know if he was kidding us or if he wasn't really listening to us.
- Premium buffet/restaurant service: during the first 3 days we had lunch and dinner the same. Grilled meat in "dice" and at night the leftover.
Lack of fruit, there was only melon, no bananas, no mango (only 2 times)...
The variety was absent and the quantity too. At breakfast, if the bacon ran out, for example, it was no longer replenished, eventually running out at 9 in the morning. (breakfast was from 8 to 11 approx.)
To be a premium service in which the quality and improvement of the basic package is sold and offered...this cannot be.
In fact, after two days eating the same thing, we decided to try the "normal" restaurant and to our surprise there was more variety and quantity of live cooking and much better service.
Private beach: we did not find it.
In short, we do not recommend it.

This year was one of the best visits we have had here by far. They have tremendously upped their game on their food, it was all delicious and the desserts were to die for. Juan, the head bartender at the Aquamarine, Premium swim up bar, is THE best bartender there. You must try a Dirty Monkey while you are there at least one time, if you like sweet drinks, that is. He can make any concoction that you want.
If you check in after 3:00 PM Nimrrol Morla will likely be one of the staff checking you in, he is very good about seeing if he can accommodate you and your needs. And he speaks relatively good English.
Our room butler was Algenis Curet, and he was THE best room butlers we have ever had assigned to us there, he handled every little thing we needed, he did our reservations every night so we didn't have to mess with it. He kept in touch daily through WhatsApp (that is how they communicate there, so you need WhatsApp on your phone). And would help with any little thing. If you get the opportunity, see if you can request him as your butler.
Rigoberto was our room custodian the whole time we were there, and he was great, he kept our fridge fully stocked at all times. However, he speaks very little English, but he is a very happy fellow who just aims to please. We stayed in Bldg 23, so if you stay there you may get Rigoberto as your custodian.
They kept the beach clean of the Sargasso seaweed the best they could, but Sargasso season is pretty much passed by November.
As a tip, always book Premium right off the bat, instead of waiting to negotiate a price when you get there. For what extras you get, Premium is worth it for the perks of a private Premium lounge and Premium buffet, located in Bldg 23 beside the Premium Pool. You also get Premium preference when it comes to your butler booking you meal reservations. You will have a Premium beach to go to with Palapa's to sit under. They have a smashingly fun foam party at the Premium pool one day and then have one at the main pool on another day. There is also a volleyball net set up in the Premium Pool if you want to play. There are always plenty of pool chairs to sit at. Over all, our 10-day stay was fabulous, and we couldn't have had a better trip. The enjoyment we derive from going there is worth what little extra that Premium Cost.
Definitely eat at The Grill, their rib eye steak cook MW was pure perfection. The Italian is good, and the Japanese Hibachi grill is good and a lot of fun. The little pizza joint is the perfect place to grab a midnight snack, they have excellent pizzas and can cook you one to order if they have all the ingredients. It takes about 3–4 minutes for it to cook, and then it's ready to eat.
I was not disappointed in any aspect of our vacation there this year. As it stands, we plan to go back again next November.

It is the second time we have come, and we have done so with great enthusiasm, since last year we were comfortable, but we have been quite disappointed.
The rooms are large and clean, but in the 5 days we have been here, one was not cleaned, and another I had to ask the cleaner to please do it for us, since it was three in the afternoon and we were without towels not even toilet paper, the cleaning they do is "very superficial" making the bed and little else, the bathroom is not even touched and in the mini bar they only refill the water, the beers we consumed the first day, we have never had them again see.
The a la carte restaurants are terrible, in the Italian one we have had to order a beer three times and they finally brought it to us when we had already eaten the first dish, the second was the frozen food.
The entertainment leaves a lot to be desired, the white party on the beach has been a party for them, the entertainers, they were in a group having a great time, without worrying at all about the guests, compared to last year, a disaster... And so I could continue giving a thousand details of why I will not come again, nor will I recommend anyone to do so, there are much better resorts than this one for the same price... And without them overwhelming you inside the hotel trying to sell you things, starting for the reception...

After a long flight the check in was slow and took ages, they were trying to upgrade service packages, we took the Silver and it was worth it, the room was quiet and the private beach for Silver was superb. Recommend first floor (UK ground floor) block 24 with even numbers!!! we had 24136.
The beach was 50 yards away, with two bars within 50 yards, plenty of beds and shade with the sea another 50 yards away. Each morning we would drop our towels onto a couple of beds and walk hand in hand (your never too old for romance), along the sea shore to "on the grill" for breakfast, looking over the beach and the sea, a limited breakfast selection but so much nicer than the "mosh pit" (the Open Sea Main Buffet Restaurant), which was good and well organised but you cannot beat sitting looking across the sand and sea whilst relaxing with croissant and espresso!
You have to book speciality restaurants so do it asap through the app, (wifi is good but you have to log in each time which is frustrating! ) The Yakimeshi (Japanese) is fun and entertaining and good food but the same each visit, the Alebrije should have been good but they only served half the food which was disappointing and we never returned. Avoid booking when it is the "White Beach Party" night you won't hear yourself think! The Villa Magna could have been better but was still good, but the winner was the "on the grill" we went three times and tried all the choices, Fillet steak - T Bone steak - Chicken and all were superb and we substituted chips which was an indulgence, well we were on holiday!!! The mosh pit which is not a fair name and was superbly organised the food varied and plentiful and far better than many Buffet Restaurants we have experienced from other resorts we have visited. The bar staff are superb, the cocktails delicious, well we were on holiday, the room maids kept us supplied with everything we needed and the room was clean. And probably very little is mentioned about the gardeners, but the gardens were beautiful, such a pleasure to wander the paths around the room blocks either day or night, a huge thank you to those responsible.

The resort has a wide variety of foods, spacious rooms, permanent entertainment, a recommendable and very pleasant place.
Except, a negative experience with Extadian Member, where they took 4 hours of our time, insistently trying to get us to become members of that club and instantly pay 3,500 dollars to enjoy the "goodness" of the club, also insisting permanently with other collateral services.
They identify themselves with light blue shirts, so that they are careful and they receive them at the door of the hotel as if they were hotel staff.
I suggest going directly to the check-in desk, the staff wears white shirts to identify them.

Large room and great bathroom with double sinks and double showers. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Great pools and never crowded on the beach, where huts were available.
My biggest problem was with the food. Specifically, the overall temperature of the food was cold, even in the specialty restaurants.
We sent back our lasagne at the Italian restaurant two times, and it was still cold when served.
The rib eye steak at the grill was outstanding, but served with cold mashed potatoes.
The food at the buffet breakfast in our preferred building was put under heat lamps at least an hour before the buffet opened.
The staff was polite and very accommodating. Our butler, Wilhelm, was the best.
There didn't seem to be a lot of activities for children.
The property is very large and spread out. There were some golf carts available for you to flag down to get from one location to another. But it would have been more helpful if they circulated all around the property more often. Not everyone is young and able to walk 12,000 steps a day, as indicated by my husband's fit bit watch.
