Detailed Reviews
During Diwali vacation I planned a trip for my family to Hills of Karnataka arranged by Anubhav Vacations. I had been to Capitol Village Resort in 2019. This was my 2nd visit. A wonderful place having a long pathway from the main road as you enter the Resort with lush trees on both the sides, coffee plants and a well maintained lawn. A serene surrounding and cool climate.
Early morning we can hear birds chirping, feel the breeze and hear the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. A small lake adds to the scenic beauty around .
Rooms are spacious and kept clean . Lip smacking dishes are served with variety and one can relish the delicious food.
The Staff is polite, sincere and helpful. I must make a special mention of Shri Dinesh , Shri Balakrishna and Shri Palangappaa , the kitchen and Room Service staff and the gardening staff .
I am pleased to inform that this time I could meet and talk with Ms Nyla Aiyanna and Shri Anand Devaiah who lead the team with Passion and Discipline. Your personalities garner respect from the tourist groups. I wish you both and your entire team Good Luck in all your future endeavours.
Coorg is famous for coffee and spices plantation and Coorgi community is well known for their bravery and hospitality.
A BIG THANK YOU for making our stay comfortable and memorable .
Look forward to visit once again .

The property is built around a coffee estate and also has a small beautiful lake.
The rooms were clean and spacious having valley view.(true to pictures online)
The food was lip smacking and special mention to chef Vinay for accommodating all our requests.
I would highly recommended this property if you wanna be in the wilderness.
PS: Pork dishes and mutton biriyani is a must try

We stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas New Year holidays. We booked 2 rooms since we travelled with family. They have provided adjacent rooms based on our request.
Rooms were good with a common corridor having beautiful views. Location is good, not at all a busy area. Very calm and scenic environment. There are so many photo spots inside the resort. The resort has a pond and a coffee plantation within it. It is such a beautiful place. We came to know that they organise engagement/wedding functions at the resort.
They have good parking space as well.
They will provide complementary breakfast. They provide both room service and dine in options for lunch and dinner. One thing to mention is that only few of the items in the menu will be available when we place the order. Maybe they will improve this in the future.
Manager Mr Dinesh was very friendly and helpful. He guided us to filter the tourist spots that we have already listed. Also he helped to arrange a cab for our city tour.
One thing which was missing is that they don’t provide TV in the rooms.
Highly Recommended 👍

We stayed for 4 nights as a part of group of about 22. Property surroundings are green with valley and a pond. Rooms less said the better. Less ventilation and in April it was very warm with no airconditioner. Keep windows open in evenings and night- you will become expert entomologist studying variety of insects. hot water for bath came at sweet bill. Sometimes water supply stopped altogether. Our group had our own food arrangements hence we had respite. If you are going for leisure I will not recommend the place. If you are nature lover and ca endure power switching, insects and all you may try

A great place to have a relaxing weekend with the family ..the rooms are basic but still well appointed ..
There is no wifi or TV rightly so as visits here should be geared to reconnecting with nature ..
The team looked after us excellently and with great care ..

This place has my heart! Located away from the town amidst nature! Walking through the plantation and watching the sunrise from the balcony was a delight! Chef Vinay was too good and treated us to some amazing amazing food! All the hotel staff were soo helpful and friendly. The diwali celebrated there was one of the best days ever! Rooms were spacious and the dining area was pretty too. Definitely coming back soon!!

A very well kept resort, located in a calm and serene location. Highly recommend the place if one wants to spend some time away from their busy schedule. Also, a must have is the chicken curry and the wine.

One of the better properties in the nice little hill station of Coorg, this hotel is nestled amidst a lush green coffee estate, and offers all the basic amenities that you look out for. The accommodation rooms are neat, clean and big on space, with some offering more beautiful views than other.
We visited Coorg in the month of December and stayed at this hotel for four days. Ours was a group tour and the bookings for this hotel were arranged by the tour operator. The hotel is in proximity to the town center of Madikeri, but a private/owned vehicle is a must to reach it and travel around. Some of the best things about this hotel are the scenic surroundings, the food with its local flavour, and its warm staff. If you prefer to be in the lap of nature, this is a nice place to be in.
The Capitol Village coffee estate is huge and boasts of a variety of flora. The pathway to the hotel connects to the main road and meanders through the coffee plantations on both sides. After a kilometer or so of the beautiful pebbled pathway, you reach the fenced compound of the actual hotel property. There are vast green lawns, children's play area and manicured open spaces around the hotel. There is a small pond as well with a narrow walkway around it. This forms a great location for taking those candid pictures of you and your loved ones. The hotel buildings are spaced out as small one-storey structures facing different directions, and have the classic brick-walled look. We were lucky to get the back-side room with big sit-out balcony and a great view of the surrounding forest and the hill-side slopes. The roofed room was big but okay with old furniture that asked for a new coat of polish to the least.
Do not expect for any modern gadgets and electronic in this place, as that is how the place is designed to be - to keep you as close to nature as possible (no pun intended). There are not televisions or telephones in the rooms and you need to rely on the old way of giving a physical call for room service (and they do oblige to your calls :)). However, it was a surprise to find out that they have free Wi-Fi for their guests! You just need to ask the manager for the password and he is friendly enough to set it up for you on your smartphone.
There is a sit-out area near the reception with dining tables and chairs along with a roofed courtyard that doubles as the open restaurant. The kitchen is attached to this area of the building from where they serve you some hot and tasty delicacies, including some great local cuisines. The staff is courteous. The courtyard is great to hold small parties and get-togethers, while the outer green lawns are said to have hosted some big weddings.
All-in-all, Capitol Village exudes a feeling of peace, coziness and fits the budget of the economy traveller.

Dear Mrs.Lalitha,
We are sold out on these dates.
I suggest you call them up before you confirm your booking and verify if they can arrange for proper baby food. Otherwise, good quality food and proper hygiene is not at all an issue with Capitol Village. When we went there, our kid was just about two years, and the food suited him well.
Hello Mam/Sir,
Greetings! Most of the tourist spots are within an hour's drive from the resort. Some of the places to visit are, Abby Falls (15km ), Dubare , Buddhist monastery, Kaveri Nisargadma (Deer Park) they are are arounf 30 Kms.
There are a lot more places around, which we will guide you once you arrive.
We have no problems with unmarried couples staying at our resort.
