Detailed Reviews
I travel enough and almost never write reviews - especially positive ones... My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Iron kettle on a recent trip. It seems we were the new owner/chef Ben's first guests! We were warmly welcomed and greeted with a nice bottle of local wine and fresh tulips in our room. The B&B is beautiful. Great common space, Beds/Bathrooms super comfortable and clean.
Ben is a great chef - and the same day, farm fresh eggs benne was a super treat!
PS ask Ben about the local diner - don't be alarmed if you find yourself driving through fields

We chose the Iron Kettle B&B largely based on the strength of its TripAdvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed -- rather, we found it to be one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed at.
Situated just south of Comber, and 20 minutes N of Leamington, the Iron Kettle occupies a stately 19th-centure house amidst nicely-landscaped surroundings. From the private parking lot to the pond that you can watch as you eat your breakfast, the owners have found a good balance between the classic and the modern.
The same continues inside: fully renovated, it has five bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Tastefully furnished, the bedrooms have superbly comfortable Sealy beds for a good night's sleep, with furnishings that fit the ambiance of the house while still providing the modern comforts. The two sitting rooms and the kitchen area continue the same theme, and provide a comfortable area to sink into the leather sofa and read a book -- or watch the satellite TV, if one is so inclined. Wireless Internet and a computer are also available for Internet access.
The owners are very helpful and accommodating, and clearly take pride of ownership in the B&B, ensuring that everything is clean, presentable and working condition. Oh, and the breakfast: apart from the excellent continental-style content, we enjoyed some outstanding croissants with egg, Genoa salami, provolone and Asiago cheese. I can't imagine a much better start for a day!
The Iron Kettle is sure to be at the top of our list for the future, and is highly recommended whether visiting Leamington and Point Pelee, or looking for a place to stay en route to Windsor and Detroit.

We recently spent a weekend with friends at the Iron Kettle B & B and it was without a doubt the most warm and friendly place we have ever stayed. The decor is absolutely charming and provides a sense of elegance and comfort. The hosts are top notch paying great attention to every detail and they are more than willing to meet any special requests. The rooms are quiet, each with its own bathroom, and the beds were beyond comfortable.
Breakfast was also amazing featuring fresh ground coffee, fresh fruit and the most delicious belgian waffles and quiche. A wide variety of foods to satisfy everyone which were beautifully prepared and presented. Definately did not go away hungry!
Would absolutely recommend the Iron Kettle B & B and plan on staying there again. The owners have done a fantastic job creating a little piece of heaven in this quite rural setting. This B & B is without a doubt a 5* plus!!

The Iron Kettle B&B was the perfect spot to spend our first night as a married couple. Ben and Ginette are always so friendly and it is such a pleasure to visit their beautiful B&B. The breakfast conversation is always my favourite, as well as the beautiful meal Ben prepares. 10 big thumbs up!

Besides the beautiful environment, Ben’s dinner was the spectacular surprise. His French training has certainly paid dividends and with access to wonderful products and meat, he can display his culinary talents with ease. He is able to harvest some of his own produce and make his own Maple Syrup. So lucky I have to be in Leamington this week!

I’m so glad I booked the house for the bride to be and her girls the night before the wedding. All the bridesmaids where in awe of the beauty and history of the house. Each room is unique and the hot tub was a plus. The girls had plenty of room the day of the wedding to have there hair and make up done. We paid extra to have a light brunch/ finger foods set up so that everyone could pick while getting g ready. Once again thank you for all the little extras you’s did to make this event a memorable one.
