My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in our very own city! Ben was very friendly and welcoming, the grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning for a stay-cation in the future.

I stayed at the Iron Kettle for a staycation and it was incredible. The historic home is beautifully maintained and the perfect mix of charming and modern. The bed was very comfortable and I was pleased to have a private bath. Ben was welcoming and a charming host. His breakfasts were incredible and all made with local goods. The grounds were beautiful for morning yoga outdoors. The pond was a lovely place for a morning coffee. I can't wait to return.

great place, really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, the bed was super comfortable, each room has its own bathroom with shower and the breakfast was awesome, there was enough variety at breakfast from fresh fruit, different types of breads, homemade jam from grandma and more and then all of a sudden Ben makes us each a huge roasted asparagus, spinach and cheese omelet, highly recommend this bed and breakfast

We wanted to do a 2 day bike stay-cation in Essex County. We purposely mapped out our 200 km route on bike-friendly trails and quiet roads so that we could stay overnight at the Iron Kettle since we had heard such great reviews. Our expectations were met and exceeded. The location is perfect for cyclists who want to ride the new Comber to Leamington off-road trail. Ben is a great host. We loved that the beautiful woodwork inside is all the original wood; it's an historic home with the modern amenities. Our bikes were safely stored in the locked garage. The breakfast was incredible, including a lovely selection of Ben's mother-in-law's (I think?) homemade jams ....in fact, if Ben wanted to figure out a way to package his wonderful multi-grain croissants so they could be bought in

The Iron Kettle should be added to your bucket list, as it is an experience not to be missed. I truly feel like I could write a book about how amazing our experience was, and it still wouldn't be enough. This charming B&B is easy to find and you are instantly welcomed by its incredible aromas of food that seemingly draw you in as the first of many indulgences during your stay. Ben and Ginette are lovely hosts. Both are charming, entertaining and immediately make you feel at ease in your home away from home. The extreme pride they have was very obvious and made our stay memorable. The attention to detail is evident in our beautifully appointed rooms and bathrooms, which greeted us with chocolate and bottled water. Truly no detail was overlooked. Ben is a gifted chef and his

My niece and her husband booked this location for their wedding and many of the family stayed on site with the reception held in a tent on site. The food was simply the best lamb and pickerel I have had anywhere. I was absolutely impressed by every function the staff here provided. From parking, to bar service to food service to busing tables, everything was seamless, effective and extremely pleasant. It's pretty hard to find anything lacking here - extremely well run establishment!!

This BnB ranks first class - and I am a world class traveller, having been around the world 3x. Ben and his team are 'hosts extra-ordinaire'! The warm welcome, the hospitality, the incredible food, the safe/comfortable environment, his recommendations for activities/veggie markets/restaurants etc were so helpful. The location is easy to find - private rooms and bath were much appreciated - the rooms are large and the bed is very comfortable. I appreciated the ceiling fan because I always like a cool room. The extra touches of bottles of water and chocolate in the room were lovely. The bathroom was large, clean and the 'amenities' were eco-friendly and top quality. Loved the towels! And there was a semblance of privacy in our rooms too, being on the top floor. Slept like a baby,

My Husband booked The Iron Kettle on a Monday night for our 35th anniversary. Ben showed us to our room which was so welcoming with the fresh strawberries and chocolate. Chef Ben cooked for just the two of us, amazing salad (fresh local picked greens) with feta and a vinaigrette that was amazing! Then came a prosciutto wrapped pickerel on a bed of white beans ( I have grown up in a pickerel catching family and never tasted anything like it) , following that was an delicious Lamb Alfredo, and then it got even better with a salted caramel tiramisu for dessert!! The following morning Ben was ready to make omellettes, and the homemade jam was fantastic! ( I had the strawberry pineapple!) Thank you Ben for making our 35th a memorable one!!
