What a great little B&B. The Bean on ti (woman of the house) was great and very welcoming, we were greeted with a coffee and homemade cake. The room was perfect and the entire house spotless. It's located in the centre of the lovely little village of Civita. The breakfast the next morning was fabulous and huge and appeared to...

We stayed at La Sentinella two nights and it was a great experience. Mariana made everyone feel at home and was constantly providing tasty treats. The breakfasts were incredible, no fewer than 6 cake and pastry dishes, plus fruit, eggs, meat and cheese. One of the rooms is a bit small, but not a issue. The B&B is an easy...

We booked a day ahead via email. When we arrived, Mariana served us freshly baked traditional pastries and some local sweet wine. We stayed in the room on the main floor, which had a nice view of the mountains and one wall with exposed stone. Very large and lovely room that opened to the communal breakfast/kitchen area, which was also...

Civita, Calabria (the province of the toe of the boot of Italy) was a post-trip destination of the Overseas Adventure Travel trip to Sicily. How fortunate part of our group of 14 were to be housed in the beautiful, welcoming B&B, La Sentinella. Civita is a hidden jewel in Calabria, a hill town of 1100 friendly people in a scenic...

Marianna gave us the idea of the perfect life in Italy, she is an angel, makes all by herself and her husband, with every single detail, if bedsheets, towels or selfmade sopressata, every morning was a new firework of delicious things for breakfast. We had three lucky days and nights in her “camera albicocca” – a great place, thanks so...

This is an almost unbelievably nice place to stay. Everything was outstanding. The food was freshly prepared, and more than plentiful. And, not just for breakfast. We were also served a late afternoon "tea-time" with home made pastries (with American coffee, cappuccino, or espresso, if you preferred). The room was stylishly appointed with modern amenities. And the linens were almost...

Marianna & Franco are most welcoming hosts. Our family of six was accommodated in three lovely rooms, one of them adorned with a wonderful balcony & view of the majestic rock. Embroidered towels and linen by Marianne and handmade soap – we were treated like members of an old, established family. A rich breakfast on the veranda included excellent homemade...

Stayed at this beautiful guesthouse On 11 August found it by chance as our normal booking.com site had failed us yet again, they had booked us in a guesthouse two minutes away which transpired to be already full, so they recommended this beautiful spot to us which with hindsight actually is better than the original place we had booked, so...
