The friendly welcome and happy staff made our visit a relaxing and cosy experience. The facilities in the bar, restaurant and pool area were very good. Our lodge was warm, clean and fairly well-appointed, if a little tired and in need of some refurbishment.

Whitbarrow village is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the scenery and chill out. The area is magnificent, the walking, whatever the weather superb. There are lots of places to go see, plenty of great pubs and the food is delicious. Well worth it!

Excellent resort tucked away in the quieter part of the Lake District but close to the shops, restaurants, theatres and tourist facilities in the Ullswater and Derwent Water districts. Also lovely small villages of Caldbeck, Greystoke and Mungrisdale are close by. Make sure you visit the art galley at Beckstones.

I have stayed in the studio's in the main building before and I loved it but this visit I didn't enjoy as much. Our cottage was ok, the kirchen had been refurbished and was brilliant but our bedroom was grim. The mattress was thin and hard, the pillows flat and uncomfortable, as was the duvet, and although the linen was...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your recent stay at Whitbarrow Village. It is great to see that you loved the kitchen facilities in your lodge but is, of course, disappointing to see that you felt the rest of your accommodation did not live up to your previous experience with us. We have been Seasons members for many years - in fact we followed the maintenance man round while he steam cleaned the moss off the cobbles the first weekend that Seasons owned the resort. We have returned many times and have always had fantastic holidays, but our recent mid-week break surpassed the lot. We were privileged to stay in a...

Although I was worried about going to the Lake District in Jan/Feb, we had a great time. The resort was well maintained, the pool was spotless and staff all very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. The weather was pretty good too !

We were called prior to visit and we did ask for an upgrade to 2 bathrooms as one of our party had a medical problem. Several phone calls were made but apparently nobody could help us. We were willing to pay extra
