Stayed here with my bffs family. The staff was friendly/nice. Parking is limited but there's street parking around. This place is very old! The AC in the rooms are in the window, furniture and everything is very outdated-down to the light fixtures. I'd say you get what you pay for but considering for $10more/night I could have stayed at best... More

Clean quaint lovely host and affordable and central location and safe and quiet and coffee. To appreciate Rocky point you must go here unless you require more luxury. Perfect for budget travelers who also lost he the local flair. The history of this place goes back to present owners grandfather.

The ownership is exceptionally accommodating. The location is convenient to restaurants, bars, and shopping and, most importantly, the Malecon. The price can't be beat. The owner is able to make wonderful suggestions, touristy or not, for restaurants and activities, and can arrange discounts as well.

Wasn't planning on staying here, but after another place didn't work out, I picked this place due to the ratings. Um, I must have missed what was so good about it or worth the price. The bathroom was a good size (almost the same size as the room) and nice enough. The owners were also okay (they speak English and... More

Most of the previous reviews for this hotel have been spot on accurate. If you are looking for a swimming pool by the beach, an in-house restaurant and bar, crystal clear satellite TV, modern furnishings, and a uniformed staff wearing trendy polo shirts ... this place isn't for you. However, if you enjoy friendly family service, a step back in... More

We were five guys on a fishing trip so we weren't looking for luxury but convienance and clean. This became the place. An old building from 1927 with small clean rooms with bath. Beds were good, airconditioner worked. Quiet at night. One block from the Malecon where bars, restaurants, and curios shops abound. Also walking distance to the charter boats... More

Very friendly English-speaking staff. Free coffee in the morning. Right next to the party location - the old fish market area. Far from the sandy beach. So if you are for beach and sun in the sand, the location is unfit. Good for a romantic stay (I was a solo traveller though). Very clean rooms. Free wifi, though not strong... More

There are never many crowds here at Posada La Roca, the rooms are sweet and have AC (which is great in the summertime). It is located right near the "downtown" area and is within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops. Posada La Roca is our favorite place to stay when we go down to Mexico with... More

My friends and I have stayed at this hotel many times. We called ahead the same day to make a reservation and was able to be accommodated. They have a filtered water dispenser in the lobby. Coffee is available in the morning. I suggest bringing a towel and wash cloth. They line dry towels so they are not soft and... More

Extreemly old early 1900's, but authentic as all of Sonora me'xico. the main parlor is decked out in antique period pieces and artifacts, far gone, to the modern information-age of 2014. A walk down the corridor to the habitaciones (rooms) is like disneyland or something? a muesuem perhaps. Take time to marvel at things we don't see everyday. A neat... More
