We've been staying at Sea Garden for several years and this one has been even more exceptional. The facility is spotless and staff friendly and accommodating. Pool water warmer than ever before. We learned the breakfast/dinner meal plan was a promotional deal for 3075 pesos and dinners were almost more than we could eat so sometimes brought leftovers to room. If you report a room issue, maintenance folks seem ready to come 24/7. Bed linens seem to be changed daily by daytime housekeepers and the evening housekeepers will again check to see everything is fresh! We were surprised to see NFL playoffs and Superbowl in English for the first time ever, though all commercials were in Spanish. Not sure how they managed that! We need to single out the efficient RummBa Restaurant crew: Mauricio, Alejandro, Ernesto, Salvador, Jonathan, Luis, Tono, Chefuriel, Albino.and particularly Chef Carmen. At the front desk, Ariel will have a ready smile to greet you as will whoever is on duty that shift. Bellboys are instantly ready to call a cab, open doors, help with whatever you need. The activities staff work hard to keep you occupied if that's your choice. Take advantage of all these folks who are ready to make your stay enjoyable. And give them tips (propinas) to express your thanks. They are always very appreciative of your thoughtfulness and their families are as well.

Such a lovely resort . All service staff were fabulous. Breakfast buffet was great with a large variety of items. No one hurried down to beach or pool at 6am to save lounges. The entertainment team was fun. The room I had was perfect also. I had a one bedroom with a kitchenette. 2 burner stove, mini fridge, coffee maker toaster and blender and enough dishes for 6. My only complaint was tv in bedroom was all in Spanish. Now I must warn you..if u do not put your do not disturb sign up and your lock on staff will.just enter if they want..need. Feel like it. I had them enter my room and leave a bowl of fruit and a welcome letter in the 30 minutes I left my room unattended. I went to speak to a supervisor at front desk. She very rudely told me that the hotel can enter a room Any time they like as it is THEIR property. Because of her hotel cleaners were no longer allowed to enter my room. Just a heads up to managment reading this...She was Rude Arrogant and non apologetic.
All other front staff were great! ARIEL checked me in and out. Very professional, thank you!

Its smaller size makes for easy access to the village, beach, pier and marina. One tower faces the beach, and if you are lucky enough to get one of those suites, you could enjoy the sunset from your Juliet balcony every evening. The one bedroom faces the outdoors corridors, which are very brightly lit. That illumination floods into the bedroom, making sleeping difficult. Maintenance and updating seem to be lacking at the two Mexican Sea Gardens I have stayed at. This time, it was a peeling bathtub that should have been replaced rather than painted. A pan handle and an overhead cooktop fan both needed repairs during our stay. Drinks were affordable, activities appropriate for the guests and recreational outlets such as ping pong and pool tables were available at no extra charge. We appreciate the welcome drink but would prefer to enjoy it at our leisure without a sales agent coercing us to agree to a presentation we had absolutely no interest in attending.

Bad Support from the people that works on the front desk, also the rooms are small and the noises from other rooms are annoying specially on the night. The front desk mention that i need to pay more for internet on my room, i paid but the service never works, they don't offer any reimbursement just support form the external company. Also I found bougs (cockroaches) on the room they need to enhance the clean service. I almost forgot the food service takes 1 hour and a half to deliver the food to my fmaily.

We stayed at the Mayan Sea Garden for 3 weeks Nov - Dec 2019. This is now our favorite smaller resort in the PV area. The staff really seem to like their jobs and it reflects on the interaction with the guests. We have traveled and stayed in many resorts this is by far the BEST staff ever from the bellboys to the front desk, restaurant staff, Joy Club staff, maintenance and housecleaners. The resort has a good swimming beach, close to the marina entrance so you can fish with the locals off the rock barrier. Good restaurants just a block or two away. Great buffet breakfast and pool snack bar. We will be going back to this resort.

We enjoyed our week visit except for one problem I will mention that later. The Stars of this resort are the employee, from the front desk, housekeeping, waitstaff, Joy Squad, security and gardeners. They work hard and are always friendly with a smile on their face. We were a little disappointed in the food this visit. Not as good and the menu is now more limited. Last visit we ate most of our meals at the hotel at the pool bar restaurant. Husbands fish tacos had very little fish and what was there was greasy. We did buy coupons for 1175 pesos for six meals, breakfast or lunch until noon. Many choices in the buffet, mostly good but again a few greasy choices. The biggest turn off at this resort is"THE TOWEL GAME" You have to be at the pool or beach by 7-8 a.m. to get a place in the shade. Management says reserving loungers is not permitted but they don't enforce it. I realize that's a hard thing to do. There were several altercations between guest during our stay over this problem. A few guest would leave their towels unattended for hours and sometimes all day. Some guest would remove towels or move umbrellas when the occupants were either dining at the onsite restaurants, walking on the beach or like us swimming in the pool. This game becomes very unfun on vacation. Management did make an effort to enforce the rules one day (Thursday) which made a lot of people unhappy. Not an easy solution to the problems. It would help if they had more palapas, more umbrellas around the pool for shade and different colored towels liked stripe instead of all white like the room towels.Some people were using their room towels like 6-8 towels to reserve multiple spots at the pool and palapas. This problem did effect our visit and could determine weather we decide to visit again.

A very comfortable resort. Clean well maintained property, spotless rooms, and attentive staff. A positive shout out to the Rumm-Ba restaurant staff, especially Salvadore who gave us very personalized service. And another shout out to Jesus on the Joy Squad. A real plus is the availability of laundry facilities The only negatives were occasionally slow elevators, and limited nighttime entertainment.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea Garden. It was very relaxing & the staff are friendly. We had 3 rooms total as friends were w/us. We were able to get one room ocean view upon check in & then told the other 2 could move to ocean view within a few days. Only one other room moved to ocean view for the last 3 nights. I checked daily w/the front desk & it was frustrating to be told different things by each employee. False promises. Aside from that, we really loved the beach & being able to swim in the ocean w/our kids. Perfect surf for boogie boarding. We also loved being able to walk right outside the resort & across the street & be at the Nuevo Vallarta marina. Excellent restaurants & great prices & service. We were not impressed the one time we ate at the restaurant on site. Although ordering by the pool there was delicious shrimp tacos & guacamole. The rooms were fairly small and outdated. The partial kitchen is small & does not work well to try to cook in we were happy to eat out though. The pool was a good time & the joy squad provides activities. Our kids loved the ping pong table near the beach, boogie boarding, water volleyball & beach volleyball. I would return to the Sea Garden. The ocean swimming is my favorite & the temperature & surf was very nice!

The Sea Garden Hotel is fairly standard for a hotel. Its location is fantastic, especially compared to the other hotels on this beach. The beach is just a few steps from the hotel and if the water is too choppy, the pools are even closer. Tons of events and amazing restaurant right in the hotel. The Rumm Ba restaurant is amazing, and is right in the hotel. It offers inside and outside seating. We bought the meal plan tickets for both breakfast and lunch/dinner, this was not a mistake. Service was great, a special shout out to Salvador and his team for always making sure we had everything that we needed exactly when we needed it. We have some pictures of the food attached - looks great and tastes even better!
