My friend and I stay in this motel last week. It was very clean, quiet. We were both very pleasantly surprised by the little things. There was bottles of water in the fridge and some really nice smelling soap, and shampoo. Bathroom was a very nice size, with a full size bathtub. There was also both tea, and coffee in the room.
It far exceeded our expectations, especially for the very reasonable price.
The young man in the office when we checked in was very nice, too. Greeted us with a smile.

Check in was complicated and we did not feel welcomed. Room decor is very basic and mis matched. Beds were fine but bathroom need updating. The sink was cracked. Noise from highway was also a bit bothersome during the evening.

After driving through Greenwood many times we decided to stay at the Evening Star, spend the night and walk around the city. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean with a fridge, stove and dishware. The room was very clean, quiet, good TV selection and internet. The city is charming, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. We would stay there again and recommend the hotel to others wanting to stay in this lovely city.

We arrived tired and late.
Bed was not too bad
Shower was broken
Cig butts on the entrance of our room door
Traffic noise was 10/10
Door was white but stain marks. Needed cleaning badly, no mask was worn by front desk.

The telephone was so filthy it was stuck on the table.
I had to call the front desk as they would not open the office door. The sign said ring the bell and wait patiently or call from your room. Amazing … that’s the Customerservice … Hey all this for $130 bucks a night

They charge like the Holiday Inn in fact more.

Drive a 10 minutes more and stay in Grand forks

Was looking for a place to stay on my way through to Grand Forks, and I was recommended to try the Evening Star Motel. It was getting to be pretty late, almost 9pm, however I phoned, and they we very accommodating! I arrived shortly after 9pm, and while there was nothing else open in Greenwood for meals, there was a small convenience shop in the registration office. The room was nicely appointed. As I was travelling on my own, I had more room than I needed, but a full kitchen, and full bathroom. Everything was clean, and worked well! The bed was pretty comfy as well. There was a bit of noise from the highway outside, but it did not hinder my sleep what so ever!

This is an older motel but it has everything you need. It was nice and clean, it also had air conditioning. Comfy beds and pillows. It had a Flat screen TV and a mini fridge. We were there at the beginning of September and it was nice and quiet.

Delivered as advertised. Despite being on highway, it was not noisy. The little store was useful since I forgot my toothbrush. Shaw-go wifi there. Not HD TV but normal selection of regular channels. Everything worked, room was clean and bed comfortable. Would recommend for budget travellers.

I was traveling to the Kootenay's from Vancouver and wanted to be safe driving the passes. I needed a place for me and my pup for the night. Immediately upon booking over the phone I was impressed with the communications and that the booking ended with, "We will have it all warm and cozy for you when you get here!" You don't get that kind of hospitality any where anymore, especially not in a tiny stop along the way motel. I was also asked if my dog needed a bed because they would supply one, OK what!?!? The place is clean, the beds and linens are comfy with down pillows and there is a store for the serious essentials. They surpass my expectations for their price.

After many hours of driving we stopped there thinking just another place to sleep...we were pleasantly surprised . The rooms were old but well kept. The owners were very friendly...kind of wished the bedding was newer. The pillows needed a little help but for a small community it was nice.
