My husband and I were travelling on the way back from Cornwall and needed a place to stop off on the way. We didn't know anything about Bridge cottage just saw it and stopped. Tim was lovely exactly the right mix of good host and leaving you to your privacy. Our room was amazing, it was like a tiny apartment...

We have stayed in many leading hotels in the world and some could learn a lesson from the hospitality of LIz and TIm. The accommodation was spotless and cosy. Great location for visiting the area with a welcoming country pub a stones throw away. Hearty breakfast cooked to order by TIm in a farmhouse kitchen which is a must (poached...

Booked this B&B to use as a base for walking the South West Coast Path. Planned to stay 5 nights. Located right next to the road so lots of traffic noise during the day, much less at night to be fair. Had a choice of rooms, the downstairs double has the advantage of the use of a guest lounge and...

Nicely situated a ten minute walk from the Jurassic Coasts beautiful cliffs and beaches, 15 minute drive from Lyme-Regis, or five hundred yards from some excellent sea food at the local Anchor Inn, the Bridge Cottage was cheap and cheerful. Rooms were small and simple but clean and, for the price, perfectly functional. One criticism we did have was that,...

We stayed for a weekend with friends. We were lucky to be given the flat upstairs and were quite happy with it, but our friends were downstairs next to the kitchen and definitely drew the 'short straw'. If you stay here, make sure you have the upstairs flat! Perfectly situated for the beach, clifftop walks and village pubs, but it...

An excellent base for the Dorset coast. The accommodation is perfectly adequate for a weekend, very clean, and the breakfast was superb. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Good local pubs serving excellent food are very close by......staggering distance ! Would definitely book to stay there again.

Not sophisticated, but clean, good value for money, affable hosts and a really good breakfast - not the shoddy quality that you get at so many B&Bs. Only problem is that in the Ruston room, there's no wardrobe any more - apparently it got sold! So nowhere to hang your clothes which is an annoying problem if you're here for...

My husband and I had booked to stay here with friends for a weekend. Our friends stayed in a self contained flat which seemed quite nice but unfortunately we stayed in a room which was off the kitchen/living area so not really private. The room is need of updating and had no wardrobe just a over the door hanger! The...

We were made very welcome and I felt right at home. The breakfast was very good wonderful scramble eggs all cooked to order in front of you. We will be back...

We are certainly thankful that in the middle of a long cross-country trip, when we despaired of ever seeing a place that looked decent, we came across Bridge Cottage in Burton Bradstock. The owner was welcoming and our accommodation was serviceable. We had Wifi, a sitting area, small kitchen and big bathroom. Although it was right on the road, it...
