Nothing really to add to all the rave reviews. This was our second stay. Jo and Robert are the perfect hosts, the Manor is completely charming, breakfasts are delicious, Alstonefield is one of the prettiest villages in the area, and The George (a 2 minute walk away) a great place to eat. An ideal base to explore a most beautiful...

Our stay Alstonefield Manor was a wonderful experience. Robert and Jo and fantastic hosts, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We arrived late on a dark Friday night and Rob was outside waiting for us to make sure we didn't get lost - this was much appreciated. We stayed in the the state rooms which was like having your own little...

Just returned - 30 minutes ago - from a weekend away at Alstonefield Manor. We stayed in the Estate Rooms but had breakfast each morning in the main Manor House with the other guests. Jo and Robert are perfect hosts brimming with local knoweldge and enthusiasm for the area and what it has to offer. Candlelit breakfasts with sumptious fruit...

I cannot rate Alstonfield Manor highly enough. It is set in the most idyllic countryside with great walks on the doorstep. There is a great pub with good food and a roaring fire a few minutes walk away. The house is very stylish whilst retaining a proper family feel. The roooms are lovely especially the estate rooms. Candle lit breakfast...

We loved our stay at Alstonefield Manor. We stayed in the 'car room' which has no ensuite but this was not a problem as it was simply an excuse to spend time in the lovely fluffy dressing gowns - and the bathroom has a fabulous roll-top bath. The food at the local pub The George is excellent, and Alstonefield is...

We stayed here for two nights a couple of days ago as part of a trip to visit our daughter in Stoke. We wondered whether The Manor would live up to the reviews and the 'top end' B&B price tag. I was a bit unsure about not having an 'en suite'. It was great, wonderful place to stay, loved the...

We stayed at Alstonfield Manor at the end of June as we had to come up to the area and decided to make a short break of it. We had a great time: the area is just lovely and we would stay here again. It took a few emails to sort the booking out as we were bringing our dog...

This is an absolutely exquisite place to stay. The property is first class as is the hospitality of the owners. We arrived on a beautiful afternoon and we were greeted with delicious scones and preserve served in the lovely secluded garden. We were given an escorted tour of all the accommodation and given good advice on where to eat out...

A lovely intimate old house in a tranqil village. The owners make you feel like old friends as soon as you arrive. Afternoon tea, on the lawn or in the lovely lounge is a treat after a good days walking and the breakfasts are wonderful, taken around a large table with other guests.
