This hotel met our needs - not wishing to fork out loads of money but wishing to be in the center of the activity in town - we felt we did well with selecting the King Edward Hotel. The hotel is the second oldest in Banff so it has a history and it is well restored. The cost was under...

We stayed one night at this hotel in late July. The price was average, not a great deal but what you would expect for Banff in July, and the location is great, right on the main street. Parking is not provided by the hotel, but when we asked the front desk staff where to park, an employee was extremely helpful...

I stayed here for 5 days back in May. The room was okay, not very big but I was traveling alone so it was perfectly fine for me.Easy that there was a small refrigerator, the tv had a lot of channels. Wifi wasn't working all the time,so that could be better. Bathroom was fine as well, nice that there was a bathtub. I...

You might be tempted just because it's in the middle of town, or because you can't get anything else. Dooooon't do it! Sleep in your car, in a rest area, in a tent, in the city park. Don't stay here. I warned you. First off..... I will say the reception staff was beyond accommodating. When we got to our room...

Should have read the reviews before I booked 2 nights in the King Edward hotel. Carpets all over are so filthy, you wouldn't take you shoes off. Bed was uncomfortable, kept sinking in the middle. While we stayed there there was a black out during the night in the whole area. NO emergency lights in the hall ways or stairs....

Stayed at the King Edward for three nights in August 2015 and paid close to $800! The hotel has the greatest location - Close to restaurants, shopping, and the outdoor lifestyle that keeps drawing me back to Banff. The hotel is also very clean! However, the hotel could use a few upgrades - specifically in sound proofing. Overall, you end...

King Edward has a great location on main street surrounded by shops, restaurants and many attractions. Public bus stop is directly out front and only costs $2 per person, arrives every 20 minutes and will take you to Gondola, Banff Springs Hotel or hot springs. The hotel itself is very basic, no restaurant attached and was what I would consider...

So my night here was eventful. Our thermostat broke as soon as I touched it. Started hissing air and was very startling. But it all got sorted out quickly. As we were walking to go out we came along a couple. The guy was choking the girl with the door open so we stepped in and stopped it. After calming...

Ok I did needed to add a day to my vacation, so I rushed into this.I realized I'd made a mistake when I opened the hotel main door expecting a lobby, but no, only a small desk behind a glass enclosure like an old movie. Not enough room for more than 3 people standing there. Bottom line is you are...

Came on a busy weekend which is probably why the value was not there. Very expensive for what you get. The hotel is dirty and very, very dated and smells musty. Very little has been done to update this place for likely 20 years. The "carpet" was worn and dirty, the floor creaked, the room had a fridge but no...
