Stayed here at the tail end of Reading Week in 2017. A romantic couples weekend. Great place to stay and really enjoyed the Hot Tub and Fireplace in our room. It was quiet and the use of the onsite shuttle was extremely helpful for our evening excursion for dinner & drinks. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Fireplace was great, but...

A great location for our girls family getaway! Cozy units equipped with fire place and kitchenette. Located on beautiful tunnel mountain and a short drive into town. More attention could be paid to vacuuming along baseboards which were very dusty but other than that issue...I would recommend this hotel to friends and family!

We stayed at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge during reading week since my daughter wanted an outdoor hot tub. We were in one of the older four plex units and the room was comfortable but dated. The bathroom definitely needs some updating. We also had an annoying water hammer type noise that lasted for 2-3 seconds at various times thoughout the...

The Lodge is up on Tunnel Mountain in a picturesque and wooded area. Advantage is that it is quieter up there. Disadvantage is that you are not really walking distance from downtown amenities. The lodge does though offer a very convenient complimentary shuttle service. Like most places in Banff parking is not abundant. The rooms are very nice with a...

The one meal we ate at the lodge was breakfast, It just wasn't very good, my eggs were scrambled and were runny and prob the worst eggs I've had, first time i've ever...

The room was great! The fireplace was so cute. The only downside was that we didn't have a mini fridge. Other then that it was great! Would definitely recommend it to others. The hot tub was also really nice.

A beautiful lodge on the side of the beautiful tunnel mountain- a great get away! Having a fireplace in every room makes the lodge very unique. I would highly recommend this lodge as it is so beautiful and so close to everything Banff has to offer.

This beautiful and majestic hotel was refreshing and a very special place for those who don't mind the adventure and for those who can appreciate the real natural beauty that only Banff can provide for those who are willing to go all the to the top of the mountain

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a peaceful retreat on Tunnel Mountain in Banff, AB. The lodge is surrounded by 9 acres of towering fir, pine, and spruce trees, yet just a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the shopping, nightlife and restaurants that are on offer in downtown Banff. A favourite visitor pastime is to observe the deer and elk who frequently nibble on the lawn, right outside the lodge's windows. The lodge has 108 guest rooms, an outdoor hot tub, and several options for dining, making it the ideal location for a weekend getaway, wedding, or corporate retreat. Buffalo Mountain Lodge is part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts' family of companies. Rooms at the lodge have fieldstone wood-burning fireplaces, cozy duvets, LCD televisions and Blu-ray players. Many feature patios or balconies. Each room has been carefully decorated to reflect the mountain lifestyle in Banff-the accommodation is anything but 'cookie cutter.' The outdoor stainless steel hot tub is best enjoyed after an invigorating hike, bike or ski on one of the nearby trails-or perhaps to aid digestion after a sumptuous meal in the lodge's highly acclaimed restaurant, Sleeping Buffalo. ... more   less
