We feel incredibly lucky to have traveled here. This was the highlight of our trip and started talking about coming back before we even left. There is something so rewarding about hiking in and earning your place to sleep. The people we met were extremely...More

I have been to Shadow Lake Lodge many times - winter and summer. The journey and the destination deliver something different and wonderful every time. This time we biked up Redearth Creek which gave us time and energy the second day to hike to Haiduk...More

We loved this place. It is a mistake to stay only two nights, however, since you would only get one day of actual hiking. We stayed three nights and loved it. The food was lovely and we met interesting people. The only down side was...More

My husband and I stayed at Shadow Lake Lodge for two nights in early August and had a thoroughly wonderful experience. The walk in, while not difficult, was just beginning to feel long when we saw the roofs peeking through the trees. We came in...More

This is an special place and not for everyone. You need to walk during an relatively easy trail during nearly 15 km from the parking lot. Considering that you need to bring your stuff, this can be tough. However, once you are there, it is...More

You are able to bike the first 12km on the Redearth trail, then you must lock your bikes and hike the last 2km. You will gain 1500' on this trail, there are a few good hills, but the trail itself is not challenging.

Thank you for your inquiry. Most cabins can sleep 4 people (2 beds per cabin). A few cabins can also accommodate an additional cot to sleep a 5th person.
