1 bedroom Wolf Suite with fireplace. Cozy small cabin like feel, nice kitchen and fireplace, affordable and good value. 1 bedroom Wolf suite was perfect for 2, more people would be a push. Clean with good shower and bed, kitchen very functional, bring coffee filters (cup style) and coffee. Small room but good for 2, lots of walking/hiking opportunities. It is a fair distance from amenities of Banff but if shuttle is running it would be fine. Wood Fireplace is the main reason to stay here, recommend bringing own wood if possible. CONS: Noisy from Banff main access road if outside, need good neighbours above due to thin floors, keep expectations lower as it is an older resort with many superficial upkeep needed, pay for poor burning wood. Internet is sluggish which makes streaming…
My experience of Banff Rocky Mountain Resort was great! I have a 90 year old father who has great difficulty climbing stairs. Luckily for my family, the front-desk was able to move us to a one floor 2 bedroom unit. I found the unit to be clean and well-equipped. We loved the decorating scheme of the place. I have stayed in numerous different RCI timeshares in the past and this resort is well up there in my rankings.
We are currently staying at the Banff Rocky Mountain Resort October 16-20, 2021 and the room is very small, not what we expected. The room was also dirty and the bed had hair in the sheets. The huge pictures of wolves in the rooms and in the bedrooms are the nice, I'd recommend taking them down and putting some nicer images of wolves. Also our view faces the parking so we can't really open the curtains to get any light in because people are constantly driving or walking by. I'm going to ask if we can change rooms. You can definitely find a better hotel/stay for the same price.
Have stayed multiple times but this was the worst, won’t be back .Was told by desk we were in a newly renovated room ,that was wrong .Not the room I expected and it had a smell ..of what I believe was urine possibly from previous pets .I did let them know this ,no one came to investigate .We asked for wood delivery it never came ,had to ask again .Restaurant was disappointing to say the least. Waited 30 minutes for appetizer then another 30 for mains .Protocals for showing proof of Vax couldn’t be kept up because people were coming when the staff was in the back ,there wasn’t enough staff anyway and the two that were there were doing bar ,food ,kitchen etc.. Went out to a different place to eat the next day ,came back there was no where to park ..no where at all, we called and…
The room was large and clean. No frills but did the job! The bathroom was nice, modern, clean and the shower was fantastic, powerful and bags of hot water. Staff were friendly and it was 5 mins drive outside of Banff - surrounded by amazing nature. Easy to find off of the main road.
Just checked in and am disgusted. Staff at desk was curt & made us feel like we were bothering him. Furniture is chipped & waterstained. I don’t think the baseboards or carpets have been cleaned in a long while. There are so many better places where we have stayed in Banff - definitely won’t be here again!
So, first the pros: The room had a great bed, was very quiet and dark. The cons: The room was hidden in the back with no possibility to see the mountains. Just a few trees and the road. I wish they had let me know so I could have requested a better room. Next the restaurant. My dinner was breaded pork on pesto noodles and they were both awful. The pork was soggy and tasteless and the noodles were just tasteless. How can you screw up pesto?
We stayed a week here from our timeshare (interval), it was ok. The location is great, but the compliments stop there. Here are a few comments: - The place is dirty - The door gets jammed or works only after fiddling with it for 20 - 30 sec - The carpet is so dirty - The wifi is terrible!!! - The pool is ok, but very old It needs renovations already!! I would seek out any other place besides here when re-booking our timeshare, easily the worst place we have stayed in over 10 years of timeshare staying.
Poor communication with the staff. We are booked there for 2 weeks but 1 week on different unit when we tried to ask for a touch base clean up they remove all our belongings like food and drinks. That is why it is frustrating to be a guests on that resort
1 out of 5 for nice staff and good restaurant food and also good location. The pool was not kept up, lots of toilet paper floating and allowing people to eat in the pool/hot tub. Our room on check in didn't have a fan. The toilet was stained so bad it needed to be changed out. The main entrance door to room was very iffy as it was all loose and wouldn't take much to knock down. A cupboard had a hole punched through it. 90%of the tiles were missing grout and a bunch were all cracked up. The room hadn't been dusted in a very long time as all the mounding ledges and lamps had a pile of dust on them. 1st time ever we felt uncomfortable pulling out the pull out couch due to the unsanitary of the room. And for well over $300/night almost $400 this is unacceptable and a total RIP…
