We stayed for 5 nights with our 9 months old twins and were pleased. The kitchen is fully equipped and the location is good - not too close to the city center but accessible for shopping and other arrangements. The room was clean and not to small. We asked for 2 cribs and got them very quickly.

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks at Douglas Fir Resort on our first trip to Canada and were absolutely blown away... The resort is a 20 minutes walk from the city of Banff and the resort itself was all it promised - family friendly, well kept and in a quiet area (well, apart from the animal noises...). After...

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on your stay with us! It sounds like you made great use of all of our facilities including hot tubs, pools, laundry and your fully stocked kitchen. Not to mention making friends with our resident wildlife! We are pleased to have made your first trip to Canada an enjoyable one...

Rented a two-bedroom condo here with family. Convenient location and the condo was nice and roomy with a kitchen. Friendly staff and various amenities, including free WiFi. A bit on the pricey side, but these days that seems to be the norm in Canada, at least for those of us using American dollars.

First of all, the Banff National Park is just a wonderful place. Of all the choices of hotels, we chose Douglas Fir because of previous experience visiting as a child and remembering the "indoor water park." Now we visited with our 4 year old. We had a single room with queen bed (and a pull out sofa) -- with kitchenette....

The resort needs to make it clear that they do not have cabins! this is a hotel, nothing more. The supervisor was terribly rude, instead of trying to fix my issue she simply told me I was welcome to leave. umm NEWS FLASH,I want good service for my $1200 room,I wasn't about to grab my things and leave the resort $1200 richer...

The Douglas Fir Resort is very proud of its well earned family friendly reputation. We know that families need their sleep and we ask all our guests to respect a quiet time after 10pm. In some extremely rare cases, our security department is obliged to remind those loud and disturbing guests to respect the quiet time. In this instance, we...

If you’re going to visit Banff with your family in tow, stay at the Douglas Fir Resort. It’s perfect for families (we brought a group of 18 for a reunion), in a quiet, gorgeous location and has lots to do on-site to keep all ages in your group busy and content. We stayed in two of the large 3-bedroom family...

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at as a family. We received much faster service here than even at the Beaches resort in Jamaica when asking for extra items for our room (baby gate). The playzone is spectacular and the waterslides are a dream. The room was clean and we loved having the kitchen in our room...

The Reservations Department was ok. I confirmed my reservation a couple days before I left to find out that Dallas completely mispelled my name and location. I was alittle annoyed that she never mentioned a family package when I originally booked my room. Front desk was very helpful and very professional. Good job! The rooms were large and well stocked....

Has been over ten years since I have stayed at the DFR, winter ski trips, single. Loved what they offered then i.e. chalet style condos with lots of room. Now with a family of four kids, it is even better. The package they offered and the use of the kitchenette made this holiday more than afforadable. Would highly recommend this...

Stayed two nights with wife and daughter. Huge rooms with kitchen etc. Would be ideal as a base for a longer stay. Only drawback is no restaurant but the one over the road is excellent if a little pricey.
