Another superb 7 night stay in the Rimrock - as good now as it’s ever been with a team that really go out of their way to make your stay totally superb….. We had a Mountain View room booked through TravelRepublic at a discounted rate - a good saving and an effortless start to finish process. The hotel is as charming as ever with superb comfort in every respect - a great stay, sleep & eat experience. Cleaning standards were exceptional, Wi-Fi signal was great, pool and hot tub were really nice and simple undercover parking. It has become our preference hotel for our Winter ski break over the past years and at a price point that balances high standards & value. Many thanks Team Rimrock and a huge personal shout out to Alex for looking after our needs in the Larkspur throughout our stay. Looking forward to returning next year.…
We stayed at the Rimrock the first week of March 2023. The hotel was not overly busy so it made it very pleasant and enjoyable. We took advantage of a special for an upgrade mountain view and it was SO worth it the view as amazing plus it provided a small kickout sitting area which was nice. The hotel staff was helpful and very easy to work with (from the initial booking through to the end). The pool was closed when we were there (for the exact 3 days we were there) but the offered free admission into the Banff Hot Springs as a result (walkable). The cafe was great for grab and go breakfast, the concierge helped with information about the Icefield Parkway drive and the valet always had our car ready and warm. We didn't use any of the shuttle or bus service as we had our own car. We liked being up away from Banff as it felt secluded and away from the crowds, but it was a very easy ride to Banff for dinner. We went somewhere each day and this was a great central hub for our adventures. …
My wife and I stayed at the Rimrock Resort for 5 days. It was an incredible stay. The view from our room was breathtaking. Our check in was very pleasant from Laura as we felt right at home. We even had a few treats in our room upon arrival. We ate at Primrose restaurant twice and really enjoyed it. Our highlight was eating at Eden restaurant. Just spectacular. Our sommelier Benoit was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. And our waiter Gustave was amazing. He was kind , friendly and knowledgeable and incredibly funny. Overall a great stay and we will return again.
Our cousins brought us here for 3 nights as we are visiting from Australia. From the moment we stepped into the reception and lobby lounge with the incredible view of the snow covered mountains I knew why they keep returning. The big room with 2 queen beds had a similar amazing view. We went ice skating on the little rink outside the back of the hotel and had s’mores around the little fires with blankets on our laps. Then we went for a swim in the heated pool and spa inside. We ate a late supper in the lobby lounge in front of the large fire. All our food was reasonably priced and delicious. Service was impeccable from all staff. Repeat all this for another 2 days … heaven . We will be back to try Banff in The summer! Ps there is a free shuttle to the town of Banff which is a few minutes drive away. Across the road is the hot springs and up the road is the Gondola.…
Spent 3 days at the Rim Rock. Rooms are 1960ish very tired and require a total renovation. Rim Rock should be totally embarrassed for charging rooms 5 times what they are worth. Also after paying $700.00 for a room they still charge $11.00 for parking. On the other hand, the service and food are very good.
After a 10 day vacation here (8th - 18th Feb 2023) the only downside was having to leave! The setting is perfect, such a beautiful location especially as the sun rises whilst you’re eating breakfast. Our room was nothing fancy but there was also nothing to complain about, it was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast in The Primrose was excellent and portion sizes were generous. Lunch/snacks and drinks in the Larkspur Lounge with the open fire roaring was the wife’s favourite, the Larkspur hot cider was perfect on your chilly return from town or the slopes. Eden - the food and attention to detail was near perfection but boy do you pay for it! The facilities - gym, pool, hot tub, steam room (sauna was out of order) and the ice rink were great and we certainly made the most of them. The hot tub looking out at the mountains with the sun setting after a day on the slopes was rather special. Lastly and most importantly the staff were AMAZING!! They were friendly, attentive and couldn’t have done more or been more lovely towards us and our children. I could write a long list of names and reasons but I’ll cut it down to the top 3 David in The Primrose, made us feel very welcome, gave us amazing tips on where to go and what to do and was equally as friendly when we saw him out and about in town. Josh was a super star always smiling and welcoming and could not do more to help us with anything we needed (even a lift to A&E for a broken thumb). Edine - you cannot beat that welcoming smile. Everyday we returned we looked forward to seeing him, having a little chat and joke, again couldn’t have been more helpful.…
I love the Rimrock and just had another fabulous experience. I brought my friends from Winnipeg and Toronto, as I wanted to give them a the mountain hotel experience, and the Rimrock did not disappoint. Our room was ready by 1:30pm, well before check in, which gave us the opportunity to drop our bags and go directly to the spa in robes, instead of hauling our luggage around and putting street clothes on after the spa. After the spa, we were able to get ready in our room before going out and have a great time. Once we were ready to go out, the concierge staff (Jordan) were kind enough to drive us to our destination instead of calling us a cab, which we had requested. Talk about great service! The beds were incredibly comfortable and we had an awesome sleep before going down to primrose for breakfast, where I had the best French Toast I have ever had in my life. I highly recommend the Crème Brûlée French Toast, so so good. The only reason didn't give 5 stars is because my massage wasn't great (my friends however loved theirs!), the rooms need a bit of updating, and we kept having to call Guest Services for basic things like glasses and a corkscrew for our wine. But those were marginal things, I will definitely be back!…
There is very much to enjoy at this hotel, located within walking distance to Banff Gondola and up the hill from Banff town. We made advance reservations at this "resort" hotel after careful research. While it was some distance from Banff town, the amenities more than make up for the inconvenience. It was such a great feeling to drive up in our rental car and actually be greeted immediately by their valet and bell staff. That was just the first of many service pluses that highly rated hotels/resorts provide. Yet, nowadays even at similar hotels, you will find it harder and harder to actually be treated at that level. Here, we were from check in to check out. The front desk staff were equally as helpful, pleasant, and professional upon arrival. The bell services took our luggage immediately up to our room and the concierge staff were truly stars of the service staff during our entire visit, making many arrangements seamlessly for us. Our guestroom was really nice and had such a wonderful view of the mountain range right outside on our balcony patio. It was truly magnificent. Our room was very comfortable and well supplied. It was such a joy to wake up and have some coffee out on our balcony and take in the mountain air and views. The public areas were also easily accessible and conveniently located. Most of the shops and restaurants are located on the main floor, including a great coffee shop. It could do with a few other shop options, but that would be my only less than perfect observation. During our stay around "happy hour" they would have some sort of special event in the main lobby area. During our visit they had a real wildlife bird presentation where you could see and be close to real owls and even an eagle of all things. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here if you don't mind being a little away from the main town. It's really not inconvenient if you have a rental car. They also have both valet and self parking.…
We are now on our 4th day in the Rimrock Resort Hotel and we would like to write a review to thank all the staff for a wonderful holiday. We have one mountain view room with two adults and two teenagers. The room is spacious and lovely and clean and the view is beautiful. The breakfast is fabulous. The kids prefer the buffet which is on in the weekend, while the a la carte breakfast is excellent as well. The service in the Primrose restaurant is perfect, as well as in the whole hotel. Everyone is helpful and friendly, from check-in to housekeeping. The Rimrock has a lovely location. On our first day we walked (less than 10 minutes) to the gondola to Sulphur Mountain. We have a rental car, but at check-in we received vouchers for the bus to Banff. Skiing in Norquay was brilliant and only a 15 minutes drive. There is an abundance of breath taking places to visit and explore and the Rimrock is a great base. The small ice rink at the hotel is fun and the pool looks good - we will try that soon. All together we are having a wonderful holiday and we highly recommend the Rimrock Hotel. …
We have stayed at the Rimrock before for business and pleasure. The rooms are spacious but need a refresh. Cleaning staff was great. I was extremely disappointed with Tiered Wifi. There was a free one. One you had to pay for and then Royal members had one. I had constant warnings about threats to my computer. Also I could not send out emails only receive. Update your Wifi and don't charge guests. FOOD we dined at the Larkspur and my pasta dish was bland. I sent it back and ordered a spinach dip which was quite good. I was charged for the pasta dish. I had 4 bites hoping that the dish would improved. It didn't Very disappointing. Your brunch is okay at best. I would give the Primrose 3 Stars. The service was good but the waitress brought the bill half way through our brunch. The cook kept pulling items from the brunch hot items and the condiments. Over all the staff was wonderful at the hotel. I certainly enjoyed the indoor parking. Great feature. …
