Horrible experience. No heat in the room when outside was at 2* C. Complained about heat issue in evening and was told they will send extra blanket. This was an insult to the injury. Electrical maintenance guys came in and out of the room till midnight. Kept two spot heater and circuit breakers started tripping. Slept finally at mid night with extra cloths on body. Was told that they will fix it in morning and will inform manager to take off first night charges. To our surprise, nothing was done to fix the issue properly and thermostat was not working so it kept blowing hot air all the time and had to keep getting up every two hours to shut the heat and start the heat. At the time of checking out, asked the front desk girl to see if adjustments were made but nothing was done. Girl said she will ask the manager and the. Charge my card. Finally came back with unwanted experience staying and found out that no discount was applied for first night. Called manager to ask what happened and he knew nothing. Made me fill like a beggar and offered me 20% discount on first night ( less than $50 and I said thank you and that was it. I would never every want any one else to experience this horrible incident and would never recommend this place to anyone. Even my friend who was in other room, had same issues with circuit breakers going off and on and was given no adjustment. Place is a fraud and never believe in their sweet way of talking. ( Banff is a heaven on earth and this hotel was worst then the hell ).…
An absolute gem of a hotel, ideally situated close to town, restaurants and attractions. The staff especially Yans & Stephanie were so helpful & very accommodating. Lovely large comfortable room with clean bedding towels and hairdryer. Safe & fridge in room too. Nice coffee shop downstairs and all well decorated. A very nice breakfast awaits you each morning & the added bonus is hot tubs and a steam room! We needed help with a few things & nothing was any trouble for them. I would highly recommend a stay here, & if I ever had the opportunity to visit Banff again I would have no hesitations to stay again myself. The only thing a little negative for me & it is a very tiny negative, I would prefer softer pillows as these were a little lumpy!
We stayed here for three nights in September. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was good, with an in room safe and a fridge. The hotel is close to downtown and is near the shops and restaurants.
Stayed in the Aspen Lodge hotel, Banff for 3 nights as part of a larger Canada trip. The hotel is situated nicely on the main street, with access to the town centre, shops and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and well equipped, particularly with the microwave which we didn't initially know about. Useful, as we were so busy during our time in Banff, we really didn't feel like having to get set up to go out again and find a restaurant. Might sound a bit lazy but we were happily tired out by 6 pm every day. A fridge is also included in the room. The hotel reception staff were very helpful, able to advise on the local attractions and even book tickets if we needed to. Breakfast is a very well stocked buffet, the menu of which varies slightly daily but has the same staple items available every day. As for the reception staff, the staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and eager to serve. All in all, the Aspen Lodge is a very nice place to stay and I would happily return if the opportunity arose.…
Really can't fault a thing, the staff were superb from start to finish, room attendants and front of desk staff couldn't be more helpful, breakfast room staff so nice, the room was great, location ideal and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone.
I had a nice three night stay. Front desk staff are friendly & helpful. Rooms not huge but nicely set up and a good use of space and clean, serviced every day. The walk in shower is huge. My room was on the second floor off the main road with a lovely tree off the good size room balcony changing into fall colors. The room had glimpses up to the mountains. Breakfast is included in the room rate with their home made muesli and their delicious oatmeal with nuts. There is fruit, yoghurt, scrambled eggs etc. There is a nice coffee shop in the lobby & there are a couple of outdoor hot tubs, steam room and the hotel is a short walk to town centre and heaps of restaurants. Lots of accommodation available in Banff and the Aspen Lodge is a nice choice.
Hotel is clean and within downtown Banff so perfect stop for our last night. Wonderful buffet breakfast was also included in our rate. However, we had a room on the first floor and could hear water running off and on all night. Walls so thin that when sinks or drains above us were released, we heard the water running thru the walls. Also there is a step down into the bedroom from the bathroom with a ramp, not when you have to get up in the middle of the night. Thankfully we only stayed one night but did alert the front desk when we checked out.
We stayed at Banff Aspen Lodge on 9th & 10th September 2022 prior to travelling on Rocky Mountaineer train to Vancouver. We had rooms 332 and 331 on 3rd floor. Extra large rooms with 2 beds and everything you could need for a hotel stay. The rooms were spotless. Beds very comfortable. Minimalist and modern design. Lovely cabinet with coffee machine, and drawers containing mugs glasses, coffee pots etc. Fabulous shower. Stay included breakfast on the lower ground floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. Choice of cereals, fruit, juices, and eggs, bacon tea, coffee etc. Plenty to eat. Staff present to assist you if needed and they constantly replenished stocks on breakfast buffet Table. Superb cafe on ground floor. Reception staffed whenever we went there. Comfortable seating area with feature fire gives a lovely first impression on arrival. Hotel is centrally located for all the shops, bars, restaurants and in easy walking distance of Bow River and Banff National Park. We didn’t get time to use hotel pool and spa facilities.. but we did see others using it. Would highly recommend this hotel. Hope to return here one day soon…
Parking was easy if a little difficult to find. The staff were helpful, the room was good but the washbasin was in the entrance by the door. Entry was along an outside walkway over the hot tubs. Breakfast was included buffet style, very strange hash browns, just like carrots, bacon every other day. Continental style breakfast. Hotel was in the main area of town.
This was the sixth stop on our Canadian holiday. The lodge had no bar or restaurant but otherwise was almost perfect for our stay in Banff. The breakfast here was the best we have come across in two weeks. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony looking out to the mountains. Traffic noise was not a problem but the fridge could have been quieter. The outstanding feature has to be the shower. A five foot by five foot space with two jets at ninety degree’s to each other. Despite no bar would recommend this lodge to visitors.
