I stayed here for 18 nights and was really pleased with everything about the accommodation. The location is a 5 minute bus ride or 20 min walk into the centre of Banff. You are given a free bus pass to use on the roam bus service which takes you into the centre of Banff . I stayed in a one bedroom ground floor studio apartment . Open plan bedroom / kitchen / dining lounge area . Exceptionally clean with great little kitchen for those wanting to cook their own meals. Unusual to have a full sized fridge/ freezer and cooker oven but great when cooking for 4 . Enjoyed the real fire and free wood was a bonus . Laundry room and gym a plus . Pool looked good but didn’t use as was skiing everyday , The staff were so helpful and nothing was ever too much bother . I asked for extra hangers , baking tray , corkscrew and everything was delivered to my door within minutes . A special shout out to Harri (apologies for spelling ? ) who was on reception . Always smiling , professional and extremely helpful with everything from recommendations to making sure I had everything I needed . A real asset to the company . You could have the room made up , cleaned , fresh linen , towels whenever you requested which was great . Had an issue with noise from other rooms in the evening but this was dealt with very quickly and the issue resolved . Lovely balcony looking over the mountains and perfect spot for seeing wild deer .…
It worked out great for 2 families with the loft and bedroom on main floor. Loft was large with own bathroom. Since it was during covid, the 6 of us had the pool all to ourselves. The location was excellent on tunnel mountain with a bus stop into Banff right out front.
Recently stayed at this resort for a few days. We loved this place! Staff members were great to deal with throughout the week. Full kitchen, two beds, 1.5 bathrooms. Perfectly located right on the bus stop route. The resort gives out free bus passes (no questions asked). Lodges were very clean, welcoming and equipped with everything you need to spend a few days. Highly recommended!
Tunnel mountain is one of the older hotels in Banff. It does have a nice fireplace in the room. The room we paid $399 for was offered as a king bed with a sofa mattress. Instead we got a double bed and a very small twin sofa bed. This is not enough room for 4 adults. Otherwise it was a decent basic room for a premium price. The hotel itself is sparse in amenities and would not recommend it. It feels more like a motel than a resort.
Our room was huge (had a double and two single beds - we were three adults) and a kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower. Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Kitchen had a two burner stove top, small fridge (no freezer), coffee maker, microwave, toaster and all the pots and pans you would need. The resort has multiple buildings with the indoor pool off the lobby area. There is a wet and dry steam room in another building but no hot tub. You have to use your room key to get in the elevator as well as exterior door and is only good for your building so security is top notch. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Hospitality is five star. The resort is not located within a quick walking distance to town but they give you free bus passes to use and the bus stop is right out front. It’s only two stops to the main street of Banff. We were here when it was -31 and using the bus worked wonderfully as it’s hard to find free parking in Banff.…
The employee that helped us check-in was fantastic and I don't want to fault him for the problems we experienced during our stay. The sheets on the beds were stained and had hairs stuck to them. The shower in the ensuite was dirty and there was pink soap scum all around the floor tile. We had asked the shower to be cleaned again but it doesn't look like it was. Before checking out, I was using the washroom when someone knocked on my door. I had said to hold on as I was sitting on the toilet, but the maid came in regardless. She was embarassed and shut the door right away, but perhaps management could follow-up on procedure. I was in the room at 10:45 and checkout wasn't until 11 am. The sauna/steam room is not in the same vicinity as the pool, which didn't make much sense. Our room was in a basement suite and we were offered 50% off to upgrade to the next room category. If there was availability, they should have oferred to upgrade our room at no additional cost considering I'm sure no one wants to stay in a basement bedroom. I will say the soap/shampoo/body wash/lotion the hotel uses from the Rocky Mountain Soap Co smelled amazing and was probably the highlight of my stay.…
Tunnel mountain resort is a great place to stay. The staff are extremely attentive. The resort is clean. We stayed in a one bedroom with a loft. Full kitchen, and a natural fireplace witch we used every night. There are also natural gas bbqs throughout the grounds. We couldn’t have asked for more, and we will be back.
We booked 5 days and they gave us a Basement unit condo, the resort was not busy and they could give us a much better room location. The layout of the condo was ok, but the bedding and the couch has a lot of stains, seems like the management did not check the importance of Covid protocols. The kitchen stove was not level and it's make it hard to cook. Overall: Not recommend this Hotel, it not worth the price/night. I consider this a 2.5 star resort in Banff.
The three bed suite was perfect for our family of four. The unit was clean, spacious, comfortable bedding, nice fireplace and balcony facing a forest. My family enjoyed the sauna and BBQ facilities were available. We used the bus passes only once and it worked well. We found it easier to drive ourselves since it was not so busy. Would highly recommend.
We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the Front Desk Agent when we arrived. Hari was so kind, polite, welcoming, and helpful. The room had air conditioning, was very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable with the fluffiest pillows. We had the room with a king and queen bed. There was plenty of parking and we were able to park right outside our room for easy unpacking. They offered complimentary shuttle service to downtown but we chose to drive as parking was free after 8pm. The whole hotel was so quiet, it felt like we were the only ones there. This is a hidden gem and a peaceful resort away from the hustle and bustle of downtown...but still close enough to enjoy all the amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
