When I arrived I felt very uncomfortable with the location and what I saw in the lobby. It was a lot further from downtown then it seemed and a little bit of a seedier location. I got up to my room and there was no air conditioning, I found many rooms with their doors open and fans running. The front desk did send me up a little noisy fan when I complained. They told me about 60% of hotels in Banff have no a/c. I spoke to another family in the hot tub, they also found the hotel uncomfortable and no a/c. they had 3 nights booked but told me they were leaving the next day. To be fair the room was nicely decorated and clean, the lobby is nice. Staff could be a little friendlier, but maybe they were overwhelmed? I would not recommend this property as a travel agent, but not saying it is overly bad either, just medium, but not worth the price paid.

I stayed at the Caribou lodge in Banff, not a bad place They had underground parking, on site The Keg restaurant, great hot pool and gym. The overall hotel was clean, rooms were smaller than expected, our fridge wasnt working so the front desk agent let us keep our food in a fridge in one of the vacant room…. The rooms dont have a/c and it was pretty warm, when I turned the fan on it was making odd noises which got annoying at night Nice location right in downtown Banff

Absolute worst place to stay in Banff. We payed for our hotel online and arriving at 10pm. Although it was 24/7 service??? ... Apparently there was nobody at the hotel who could access our booking and told us it could take 2 hours before they could check us in 😂. So we sat in the parking lot for 2 hours exhausted and just wanting to go to bed. The next day they offered us a 10% discount for the inconvenience.. so generous. The supervisor was very rude. No toilet paper in the room upon arrival. Yellow stained pillow cases. The soaps in the shower were empty. Air conditioning didn’t work. There’s no fan in the bathroom so good luck getting ready after you shower. It filled the whole bedroom with steam. Honestly just go anywhere but here. This place ruined our stay in Banff.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed the rustic feel of the hotel, love the brick fireplace in the lobby. However, the rooms are in serious need of updates. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We’ve never had an issue with them. The first room we checked into must have been skipped by housekeeping, felt dirty, not vacuumed and a filthy duvet. I nicely called the front desk and they moved us to another room without asking, along with a complimentary bottle of wine. The underground parking garage is not for anyone driving a big vehicle, a clearance of 6’4, our truck had very little room, the cement flower beds are way to close to the entrance/exit of the garage. We actually scraped our passenger door coming out of the garage. It’s a very tight squeeze. We love the fact that the Keg is in the hotel. The spa is lovely, we used it on our visit last spring. We love Banff and love to walk so this hotel is fairly close to downtown. I’d stay again if the rooms were updated a bit and next time we will drive our Honda Civic :)

Came for a weekend to destress. We were offered an upgrade for a room with a balcony and view. Paid extra for a view of the carport roof. No A/C in these rooms. No shampoo or soap but a $20 Rocky mountain soap daily oat lotion on counter if you use. Balcony curtains are filthy. Coffee packs in room have no flavor. Upgrades needed. You would think since they're so slow with covid that they'd try to impress the few people that booked.
