The Banff Inn, favorably situated within walking distance to Banff's center, is often commended for its cleanliness and spacious rooms with impressive mountain views, which many guests find to be a highlight. However, opinions on value are mixed, with some reviewers questioning the price point relative to the room offerings.
While the service is acknowledged as helpful, there have been occasional concerns regarding responsiveness. The amenities are generally appreciated, though suggestions for updates, particularly in the bathrooms, have been made.

Detailed Reviews
A basic hotel very clean and friendly staff, a warm hot tub with sauna and steam room as well, the staff didn't turn on the sauna or steam room so you had to wait a long time for the sauna to heat up would be a nice gesture for them to turn on around 4pmm as skiers returning from slopes. Our room was ok but the big disappointment was the lack of central heating the bathroom/toilet was cold. To warm the room up you have to use a wall mounted ac unit but who wants to here a noisy fan starting and stopping all-night so we had to turn the heating up full prior to getting in bed then turning the ac unit off till we got up the next morning. the Pizza bar down stairs served good food we tried the 12" pizzas but found them too big for us so next we had 10" which were just right all in all a good budget hotel spoiled by the room heating arrangements.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights for Christmas and new years. Check in was fast and the staff was very welcoming. The reception area was warm and pleasant. You can pay for parking but we found plenty of free parking round the back of the hotel. Our room was nice and clean, basic amenities which you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Bed was comfy and coffee machine was good. We were in one of the front facing rooms so it looked onto the road, which was really nice to wake up to. It was a bit noises being near the road but it didn’t affect our sleeping so it was fine. As this hotel is not in the centre of Banff, you do have to walk into town which took about 15mins which was fine but you can get the roam bus which would be a lot quicker. One issue we found with this hotel was the housekeeping, we found our room didn’t get cleaned half 3 even 4! We mainly went skiing everyday and came back late afternoon to our room not being cleaned. It did get a bit frustrating and sometimes we just got them to clean the bathroom and refill the coffee as we didn’t want to leave our room just for them to clean. So out of the 8 nights we stayed we only got our room cleaned about 2-3 times. We did raise this with the manager as we checked out, and they did inform us that it was busy in the hotel with lots of room getting turned over for the next guest. But to be honest she didn’t seem to care or that she was going to pass on our feedback to the manager. I think this is the only area that really let the hotel down. Otherwise we didn’t enjoy our stay.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay over Christmas and New Year, especially the welcoming atmosphere, comfortable room, and convenient location. However, we deeply regret the issues you faced with housekeeping. We sincerely apologise for the delays and lack of communication, which certainly doesn’t reflect the hotel standards. Your comments have been shared with the team to ensure better service in the future. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again. Ron Quiapo Asst. I stayed at the banff inn with a friend for 2 nights as we were going snow mobiling . we was ment to check in at 4pm but arrived early and the staff at the front desk let us check in at 2.30pm . The rooms was really comfy and clean the beds was so soft and cozy felt like you did not want to get out of them . you had a mini fridge and a coffee machine. the bathroom was very clean the shower was quite powerful and nice and hot . We went out for the day and when we got back the beds was made clean towels and new coffee pods. The hotel has a restaurant on site , the menu is not that vast but there is nice food on it , The only thing about the restaurant is it is only open from 5pm until 11pm . I dont usually go to banff but if i do then i will stay here again , Its a very nice hotel

Hotel located on the main avenue of Banff about 10 minutes walk from the center.
We stayed with two little girls.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, renovated bathroom and clean.
There is an Italian restaurant in the hotel itself if you don't want to go out and they also offer breakfast (for a fee)
There is parking in the same hotel but subject to space.

We had a nice room on the first floor with 2 queen beds and a good sized flat screen TV. Refrigerator but no microwave. Only other furniture was small bedside table, a dresser where the TV sits and a very small table with 2 chairs. Clean and comfortable. Shower/tub. Wall sconce for light at head of the beds. Carlito’s Pizzeria inside the hotel served us a limited breakfast buffet, not much seating in there. It’s a bit of a walk into the village but there are inexpensive shuttles.

I was pretty disappointed by this stay. I paid a huge premium ($300 vs my normal hotel stay of less than $100) because it was my wife and I's anniversary. We were greeted by an OK building I suppose. They talked about the whirlpool on my way in but this wasn't very appealing. How romantic is it to share a whirlpool with a full hotel of guests?
The room was disappointing in that our window was a narrow view of the parking lot that had a bus parked in front of it. No view for us. Also, there were no heavy curtains only light see-through curtains. This meant that people could have seen us if the bus moved and in the morning we were greeted by harsh light at 6 AM. The AC was underpowered and we spent most of the night too hot. Finally, in the morning there was no breakfast. I would have rather stayed at a Super 8 for 1/3rd of the price.
Oh, and the alarm clock went off at 6 AM and was super bright. Couldn't figure that out either.

Banff Inn is my go to hotel in Banff. The location of this inn is perfect as it is walking distance to nearby shops, restaurants downtown and bus shuttle pick ups going to Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise (ski big 3). The rooms are clean, big, has comfortable bed, nice hot tub, etc. Elmer is amazing and a true gem and one of the reasons why I keep staying at this inn along with other staff/employees. I would stay here again and again!

We stayed just one night in this good hotel.
Standard room, very clean, quiet with two queen size beds in the North American tradition. Large room and adequate bathroom.
Free underground parking and in case of lack of spaces, parking in the adjacent streets is guaranteed.
Inside the structure bar and pizzeria.
With a 15 min walk. you arrive at the streets of shops, restaurants and bars.
We recommend Chuck's Steakhouse & Patio for meat eaters and Tooloulous for a super breakfast.
We would like to recommend this hotel.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Carlitos is friendly and the food is tasty and plentiful. The location is great, a ten minute walk at my pace with a gammy leg. The rooms are very clean and have an area with a good sized fridge, coffee machine, kettle (if you ask at reception) and space to make your own packed lunches. I didn’t get to use the spa, but it looks amazing. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We were given 2 overpriced connecting rooms on first floor immediately over the underground parking garage doors. The doors were very noisy and going up and down all night. We didn’t get any sleep. When attempted to bring to manger Dan Rodrigues attention in the morning he was rude, unsympathetic and told me I must be a light sleeper. When I said there was no way I was the only person who ever complained he was very evasive. Will never stay at this property again.

We didn't have a car either and used Brewsters to get between our destinations
Hi there - yes our room did. It was in a alcove near the room entrance.
Besides Tooloulous (long queue usually), many second choices in town everywhere but there are two I would recommend: Melissa's missteak and Coyotes southwestern grill
