The room had a strange mixture of furniture, the windows didn’t keep out the noise of the road or of the buses idling for 30 mins under our window. There was a free standing kitchen fridge, a hand basin in the bedroom, the bed was bigger than the headboard, a gigantic wardrobe that took up so much room there was nowhere to put cases. There were long, dark hairs in the bathroom, no working controls on air conditioner which was VERY noisy to produce no cold air so we had to unplug it to shut it up. The heater also was without controls and was on. The whole place could do with a total revamp, we were pleased to leave.
Fantastic location meaning we could walk to dinner easily each night. Room size was ok. Pretty hefty price tag considering the room size and quality but likely this is just par for the course in high season. Parking was quite limited.
really nice hotel ...right in town so you can walk to everything ...rooms were very clean and spacious ...only thing I would complain about is the underground parking ..when walking up the steps from the parking garage to our rooms there was water leaking in the stairway ..so very very slippery and very wet and water dripped over your head ...otherwise it is a nice place to stay ...
stayed here for 11 nights. Staff were very warm and friendly. Spa is lovely, very clean and well maintained. Room was cleaned with fresh towels every day. Would recommend for anyone wanting to visit this beautiful part of the world on a budget but still wanting to be able to relax in comfort
Stayed there with 5 others and had one traveling companion get bitten by bed bugs. Over 20 bites all over face neck and back. Owner dodged responsibility. Never showed compassion, remorse or respect. Offered a nights stay after stating that he would give customer benefit of the doubt?? What doubt? He even had a pic of a bed bug from the room. Left terrible taste in all of our mouths! My friend turned down the money for a night. Just wanted sincere apology.
Six of us were staying here for 3 nights. My experience was average at best. One of my traveling companions got all bit up by bedbugs the very first night and has had a very difficult time dealing with the management of this place. He even brought a dead specimen to the front desk to show them and try to make things right for him. Complete denial. Terrible management. 0 stars is a better representation here.
I sooooo desperately wanted to write a glowing review for this inn, after all it is locally owned and operated but in the end, I just cannot. While the staff were helpful and friendly and we definitely appreciated that we were not charged for phone calls ( after running up a large and unexpected phone bill on our mobile for a rental car issue) , what remains a prominent memory was when , as I peeled back the comforter on our first night to sleep, I discovered that the bedsheets were freshly stained!!!! Clearly they had NOT been changed from the previous guest. This resulted in us requesting the sheets be changed after midnight when we were exceptionally tired travelers. The front desk agent did respond to our request promptly but that this happened is just gross!!! The room…
I booked this hotel after reading the TripAdvisor reviews. The two ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor at the front of the hotel. I expected it to be noisy with the road outside but it wasn’t at all. Overall the room was clean , the beds were comfortable and that’s all we needed. Underground parking was a bonus. The hotel is perfectly located and it’s only a short walk into the town. This meant we could leave our car at the hotel and walk into town for a nice meal and drink in the evenings. Also it meant I didn’t have to drive into town when we did the shops . There is a nice coffee shop just a block away for breakfast. There is also a grocery store a block away for fresh produce. We kept stuff chilled in the fridge in…
The rooms were old, windows were dirty, beds were comfortable. We paid a huge amount of money for this place, no breakfast, and they were out of coffee. It served a purpose, but I would look elsewhere next time. I don't recommend this place.
I came to Banff to go to a conference and booked into this hotel as it was the least expensive hotel I could find at $300 a night this town is absolutely swamped with people beautiful location nestled in between Glazier covered mountains Banff has become quite CD and rundown with lots of souvenir shops and tacky dollar stores the hotel was quite nice it was clean it was pleasant not enough towels other than that no real complaints except the price was out-of-this-world at $300 a night the one with front desk said you were lucky to get the last room here she said we are the least expensive of all the hotels in Banff ouch I guess this town is for really rich people
