Detailed Reviews
We had stayed at the Rundlestone a couple of times in previous years and they have greatly improved this time. They must have new owners. As soon as we entered the hotel I knew it was going to be a great stay as the staff that assisted us with our check in was wonderful! (I wish I could remember her name) We upgraded our room and had the loft jacuzzi suite. The room was clean and travelling throughout the hotel I was never concerned about covid. We had a great stay and will be back

Clean and comfortable hotel. Close enough to downtown to walk. Front desk has free passes for the Roam shuttle if you don’t feel like walking. Nice staff with good tips for restaurants and hikes.
My only complaint is that we had to ask for maid service. We returned from a full day out expecting a tidied room and found ours untouched. For our four night stay, the room was only cleaned once when I asked the front desk for maid services.

Dear ShannaM392, Thank you for choosing the Rundlestone Lodge as a part of your travel. I am happy to learn that you had enjoyed the stay, and had a relaxing time in Banff. While we are transferring to a new normal back from COVID, we find it important to not enter the rooms by default. We service rooms upon request only to provide the guests and staff with extra safety. I hope we will get to welcome you back soon!

We stayed at the Rundlestone Lodge for 4 nights. We met and interacted with different staff and they were all amazing, professional and very personable. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool and hot tub are very nice. There was no operating restaurant on site but many choices in walking distance. The temperature in the room was comfortable.

If you like brown, then this is the hotel for you… our room was grubby due to lack of cleaning and definitely needs updating. The reception staff paid lip service to customers needs. No restaurant or bar, thankfully everything close by. Would not recommend.

Very poor. We were “upgraded” to a room on the ground floor overlooking the car park entrance - not great for a 3 night stay. The hotel pool was out of order and there was no bar or food facilities. The hotel is in need of a refurb. On the plus side you do get a free pass to use the shuttle service.

The rooms were adequate, but a bit shabby. Actually had holes in the bedsheets - which were too short for the beds. Maybe they shrank in the wash? Breakfast service went from pitiful to disgusting (bags of bread that everyone reached into with their grubby hands!). Asked for decaf coffee and was told no because it always ends up being thrown out. The most convenient elevator was out of service. The towels were very… uhm… exfoliating. (Think we might have paid extra for those, too.).
But the front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice.

Dear Leslie-Anne, Thank you for your review. We are disappointed to learn that you did not have an enjoyable stay. Our team is working hard to be available for our guests 24/7, and we always eager to assist all the guests in house. It is a pity you have not pointed out the details of your stay to us at the time. It is not the level of service we strive to provide, and if you would like to have a more detailed discussion, you could reach out the hotel directly.

I had a very nice stay at the Rundlestone Lodge last week. Due to covid regulations, the pool and other amenities were still closed at the time (as was posted on their website) so I cannot comment on those.
I was made to feel welcome immediately upon arriving. The gentleman working the front desk (whose name I have forgotten) was very kind and welcoming, letting me know what was and wasn't open and providing me the information I needed. There was plenty of parking due to my stay starting mid week. My room was very clean and very comfortable. I stayed in one of the king rooms on the 3rd floor. I was able to borrow a movie from the front desk and enjoyed a nice movie and meal in room one evening. The lodge is not located right in the main shopping area of Banff, but it is a short and easy walk in. Close enough to be convenient, far enough away that the lodge has a relaxing feel to it. I was very happy with my stay and look forward to when I can go visit again.

I stayed at the Rundlestone on the weekend of Sept. 12. I stayed in the loft room with the jacuzzi tub, which I had stayed in once years ago, and both times were so wonderful and peaceful. The tub in the loft is the highlight, but the room also has a nice little balcony to sit and have coffee or drinks on, and a nice little fireplace as well. It's not too close to downtown where there are tons of people and traffic, but also close enough to walk around.
This visit was for my boyfriends birthday, and so I requested a bottle of champagne for the room. I then called ahead and asked if it was possible to get a little paper or something for the room that says "Happy Birthday". I felt bad asking, but wanted the trip to be extra special. The staff went above and beyond and got a cute little card that they signed and left with the champagne. It was so sweet and thoughtful, I give many thanks to the staff for making our little trip so wonderful! You guys rock! And I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few.

We were at Rundlestone for a Pastor's Retreat. Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home. The meeting rooms facilitated all our needs, our room was comfortable, the healthclub, pool and hottub wonderful. We left feeling very satisfied until we reached Canmore on our way home and realized we may have left some valuables back in the hotel room at Rundlestone. We called the front desk and talked to Dannie Brownsey - she assured us that she would go take a look in the room for the items we may have left behind - she found them and promptly called us back. We were over the moon, as in happy, that she had found the valuables and when we returned to Rundlestone, she delivered them to us. How do you beat that for hospitality. Thank you Dannie, and thank you Rundlestone for a great weekend in Banff.

Only stayed for one night but hotel was great! Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and modern. Pool was open and great for kids with lots of natural light. We had an upgraded bathroom and it was very nicely laid out with lots of space, nice counters, large shower, heated floors, and new fixtures. The only recommendation I would make would be to add a fan. We will definitely stay here again

There is a restaurant here in the hotel that provides breakfast daily for a extra charge. Their exact opening hours and menu options are currently dependent on the Covid related restrictions that are in place so feel free to contact us directly with your dates of stay and we can provide you with more detailed information. There are also other restaurants nearby that have great breakfast menus.
