The view and tub is perfect. I didn't heard much noise from Highway/train. Very close to downtown. The king bed is comfortable. Hotel clean the room very well. The room is little bit too dark, not enough lamps.
We came back to the Juniper Hotel after a while and the rates for the rooms were really good, so we booked a very nice Deluxe King room with a wonderful view. We enjoyed our stay very much, it was nice and quiet and the room was very clean and nice.
We had zero complaints. It was a gorgeous view, very clean room, and great service! The bistro has delicious food and our server was very attentive, He even provided some champagne our of celebration for out marriage! We will definitely be coming back here when we visit Banff again!
Loud heater in room. Materials used like tissue paper, toilet paper were on the cheaper side. The room was clean overall but the atmosphere likely represented the value. The bistro was good but has changed over the years.
We booked here last minute based on a friend’s recommendation. The hotel and staff were amazing. The rooms are older, but very clean and everything works. Beds and linens, pillows were very comfortable. Will definitely be back
All 4 of our pillows were dirty, there were hairs in the sheets. When front desk was notified, we were told we would be compensated. We got new pillowcases but not bedsheets. Front desk told me the manager would call me for compensation but I never got a call. Very disappointing. Towel rack was inside the shower, not very logical. Walls were so thin, every time someone walked in the hall or talked, we heard everything. Only 1 small lamp in the entire room. Although the location was great, not worth sacrificing your comfort and cleanliness for. Stayed in much nicer places for cheaper.
This is a lovely location with beautiful 1950’s retro architecture and room decor. The restaurant is amazing. The hotel honours history and the indigenous people who lived on the land. Highly recommend.
I loved everything about the Juniper - location, service, friendliness and food. We visited for a group retreat for 3 days and everything about our stay was exceptional. Can't wait to come back for another visit.
I recently stayed at the Juniper for three nights. I was disappointed because I was expecting something a little different. My room had a nice balcony, but overlooked the highway, so it was loud at night with trucks and cars passing by. My room was a bit dated with a very small bathroom and had a bit of a foul odor. The one day I requested cleaning service they never cleaned. I re-asked upon returning from my hiking and sightseeing around 4:00-4:30 pm, but at that point just accepted fresh towels for the bathroom. This property was just a bit too far away from the center of town for me; but given my visit was during the low season I always found free parking in town when I went in for dinner. I have heard most of the hotels in Banff are a bit older anyway, so perhaps comparatively these rooms were just fine. Overall staff was nice and I loved Banff and the surrounding beauty!…
The juniper hotel is a little out of town, that has its pros and cons. Parking in Banff can be challenging and with the bikes the hotel provides a ride into town is a breeze. Wildlife around the lodge is a nice touch as that is why you want to be out in nature. We spotted squirrels and deer but bears must also me around given the marks on trees. The restaurant is nice and serves very decent food! The rooms have all you could ask for and therefore a place we would recommend.
