I know it is a bit strange to write a review before my visit, but I have stayed here with my family on several occasions over the years. It is a wonder place with great accommodations and staff. I am submitting this review based on the excellent customer service associated with a reservation I accidently canceled. Sparing the reader the details, I can summarize by saying I made a terrible blunder and accidentally canceled my reservation for late June. It was only when I received a cancelation email the next day that I recognized my mistake. I was totally screwed as I already had airline tickets and other reservations in place. I immediately went on line to reserve again, but of course all accommodations were booked, so I emailed and called after hours hoping to recover my original reservation. The answer I expected was "sorry, their is nothing we can do". I am happy to report that Catrina was able to work some magic to get me back on the property. She was genuinely very kind and understanding, and I am so grateful as we desperately need some time at Paradise in paradise after the trials of the past couple of years. A sincere thanks to Catrina.…
If we could give more stars, we would! Lovely friendly check-in and helpful staff. At first, I was worried as our room was facing the road - but we were absolutely delighted with the view. It was gorgeous. A lovely fire in the room and kitchen facilities. It was so snug. Spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable - and off from the main room and kitchen. Lovely bathroom Can't recommend enough (but quite pricey)
This hotel was super clean. Kitchenette was awesome to pack lunches and eat breakfast, save a lot of money. The front desk staff was awesome and helpful. I liked the two queen beds were in separate rooms. The balcony's were awesome with mountain views. Very quiet location. Trek to Lake Louise is not bad, one big steep hill but very doable, about 20 minutes.
There are only 2 hotels on the road from the village to Lake Louise. This is the better one. It come with a full size kitchen and give you free granola bars every morning. Since it is right beside a busy road, asks for a room facing the forest. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. If you don’t want to pay for public parking on Lake Louise, you could walk to Lake Louise in less than 20 minutes, just a bit of uphill in the middle third portion of the walk.
We discovered Paradise based on Tripadvisor reviews, we were delighted with the accomodation. Lovely room (we had a one-bedroom suite), friendly staff and within walking distance of Lake Louise (saving you significant parking headaches). The internet could be improved upon, and rooms next to the parking lot (like ours) can be noisy at times (in the morning).
We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! The suites were spacious, clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The office staff was friendly and full of helpful information. The lodge is a short 20 - 25 minute walk up to the Chateau which was great because the traffic up the road was so busy and the parking lots were full. The office offers free coffee in the morning and has snacks and some frozen food for purchase to save you from driving to the store if you need something. We drove to Banff the next day and returned to the suite to cook dinner. I would recommend this property if you want to stay near Lake Louise.
This was one of the best places I’ve stayed in my life! The staff are super friendly and offer amazing service. There was nothing wrong with our stay except the wifi, it was slow but it didn’t mater since we were out hiking most of the time. In the morning the main lobby offered free coffee and tea. They had very nice amenities such as a full kitchen, large fridge, etc.
We had cabin, which was small but comfortable, quiet, and clean. The cabin came with a little kitchenette (microwave and small fridge), and there is a gas BBQ on site. It's about a 20-minute walk uphill to Lake Louise and a good way to avoid parking at the lake. The service was excellent, and the staff was fully masked still despite the recent lifting of all COVID-19 related restrictions. I much appreciated that.
The pandemic derailed our other holiday plans so we stayed in Alberta and did a Rockies getaway. Paradise Lodge and Bungalows is located close to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, two of the most popular places to visit. We booked a charming little Wilson cabin for an overnight stay, which gave us an early morning start to visit the two lakes. The cabin was cute, cozy and rustic. They are older but certainly well-appointed with modern amenities. We booked here due to the comments made by another Tripadvisor review who was conscientious about cleanliness (bringing their own cleaning products in case they wanted a once-over) and we could attest to the high standard. The COVID-19 they practiced were top-notch throughout and considered an overall strength of the showing, including at check in and in the cabin which was spotless and clean. The gas fireplace was a nice touch as well as the minor amenities included. Note the Wilson cabin only has a shower. The only drawbacks for us were the higher peak season pricing in early September and we noticed the cabin floor had a very slight slope to it (off level) which wasn’t an overly huge ordeal for us but may affect some guests. My inlaws stayed at a Wilson cabin nearby and noticed the same. The cabins are smaller and may be an issue for extended stays, but they do have alternative lodging that is more spacious. Overall, Paradise Lodge and Bungalows was a good value proposition for the Lake Louise area where properties are typically on the expensive side. I felt they had very good protocols to keep guests safe and healthy for the night we stayed. We stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing time. The rooms were comfortable and we were facing the mountains and woods. The beds were comfortable. And best of all it was walking distance to Lake Louise. Overall a great experience. Highly recommend this lodge!
