There are two faces to the Moraine Lake Lodge—from 9:00am until 6:00pm—when all of the tourists are mulling around the lakeshore and grounds, and late evening and early morning, when they aren’t. I like the Moraine Lake Lodge when privacy and solitude are abundant when...More
We're soooo glad that we booked a place to stay at Lake Moraine instead of the fairmont at Lake Louise. Lake Moraine in my opinion is a lot more scenic and slightly quieter. We had one really sunny day at the lake and the surroundings...More
The high price here is all about location. That said, service was excellent. Rooms were very nice (small for price if you don't consider that the location, again, is everything here). Restaurant was very good, make sure you make reservations. Also, it's nice that they...More

Lake Moraine Lodge is the only place to stay if you are visiting lake Louise, because that way you see a lake that is much prettier and skirted by the twelve peaks. Lake moraine is much bluer, and more intimate that luise as the mountains...More

We brought our 9-year-old son last summer and it was fine, but they don't cater to children. They say on the website they cannot accommodate children under the age of 8. With all the noise from the tourists in the lake all day though, I'm not sure why they don't allow young kids to stay there. It is a beautiful place and we plan to return, but we've learned this isn't a place for peace and quiet!!
