It took us a bit to find the resort but was happy when we did. When we checked in we asked about upgrading to a chalet, which is what I had thought I had booked. They advised there were vacant chalets but they were double the price so we decided to pass. The rooms are dated and the romantic Jacuzzi suite may be a bit of an oversell as the tubs are super old and not in great condition. There is a fridge in the room however no ice machine, you have to get the ice from the Bistro when it is open. The mosquitoes were awful so we inquired if they had repellent at the little store they have. They laughed and said they didn't carry any and it was prime bug season, the only option was to drive to Lake Louise. (If you bought some small bottles and put them in your store you would be able to sell them - no problem). I am not sure I would go back, there are other places that offer better for less.

Property's Favourite Review
Tucked out of the way on a very quiet section of the 1a highway this small resort is an excellent way to immerse yourself in what the Banff National Park is about. It is very isolated and you can immerse yourself in nature. There is a group of log cabins of various sizes and floor plans designed to accommodate anything from a romantic couple to a large family. We found the trappers cabin that we stayed in very cozy and well maintained and beautifully decorated. It was the perfect romantic week-end getaway location. We did not get a chance to view any of the other cabins or the lodge but from what we saw they were equally impressive. The grounds were excellent, lots of hiking, biking or just relaxing and reading options. Be aware, that like anywhere in the mountains the main railroad line is nearby, but they don't honk their horns at night and travel by very quickly. They did not disturb us at all. Being that it was 2020 and there are Covid restrictions we felt that the restaurant did a good job of accommodating with limited tables, shorter hours and a smaller menu. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was very good. If you are staying for more than a few days you may want to do some of your own meals or travel to Lake Louise (short drive) for a bit of variety. We are already planning our return in the winter with family to use as a base for skiing at Lake Louise.

Loved every second of our stay, and wish we could have spent more time there. Very welcoming and laid back atmosphere. The fresh ground coffee and french press was exactly what I needed after a big beautiful drive from Jasper; I enjoyed a cup on the balcony before unpacking for the night. Would love to return. This was a bit pricier than our comfort zone but we were determined to invest in small local organizations after 18 months of pandemic disruption.

Very quiet and relaxing! Spacious cottages with comfortable beds and extra nice touches like fresh ground coffee, French press, extra towels and a lovely restaurant. This is such a romantic place in the heart of our amazing Rocky Mountains; all the cares and burdens of the city immediately melt once you arrive! They have even added lovely chairs and fire pits to sit in the evening with a bottle of wine by the river!
