Verna is an excellent host with lots of knowledge locally and of Canada in general. She provided a lovely night's accommodation and breakfast the following morning in a quiet suburb of Calgary, overlooking the Bow River Valley to the Olympic Showground beyond.
I thoroughly recommend this comfortable and well equipped B&B.

My wife and I stayed here in August 2012 as we had to catch a flight out of Calgary the next day to complete our vaction. Our hostess was extremely welcoming, and did everything to make us feel welcome and to give us lots of local information. Breakfast was excellent and everything that could be done to make us feel comfortable was. Would definitely stay here over any of the big hotels - a real opportunity to feel like you were staying in a real Canadian home.

We stayed here on our first night after a very long flight from UK. The owner was very welcoming and offered us refreshments. The room was very clean. We had a brilliant night's sleep. Breakfast was superb. A real home from home. I would definitely stay there again.

Verna is an excellent B&B hostess. She accommodated our every need (phone, and using her kitchen for a late dinner, and pleasant conversation). Her house is clean and inviting, has easy access to the Bow River trails, and a view of the Olympic site across the river. A comfortable bed, cable TV, and the night was exceptionally quiet. We could not have had a better experience.

We stayed at the Cozy Nest for one night on a ski trip. Verna was so welcoming and kind, yet unintrusive. She invited us to chat after we had settled in and we loved hearing her stories. Breakfast in the morning was made to order and absolutely delicious! We felt right at home and loved our stay.

The house is lovely and Verna is a very nice hostess. She was very helpful and welcoming, has been running this B&B for more than 20 years. Breakfast is prepared for the guests according to the wish.

Thanks to her tip we found out about the Park n Ride which is very close to her house and you can get there easily by car within 10 minutes. From there you can take the train into the city, which is just some 20 minutes away. A great way to get to the city especially during the Calgary Stampede.

I'd definitely recommend to stay here!

I stayed here for one night, arriving late after a drive in from Edmonton and on my way out of Calgary the next day. This is a small and cozy B&B (just 2 rooms!) run by a sweet lady who does her best to make guests feel at home. Upon arrival I was greeted with a refreshing drink and friendly conversation. Breakfast in the morning included fresh fruit. Also across the street from some good running (&walking) trails and bike paths. A view of Canolympic Park and mountains from the living room. Centrally located, close to all major attractions.

Overlooking the Bow River and adjacent to Bowmont Park, this B & B is a gem for those who
love the outdoors (fishing, cycling and hiking) with the convenience of a world class city. Verna is an outstanding host who takes interest in her guests and has significant knowledge about Calgary, transportation and activities. I will return again and again.

Verna is the most excellent host and nothing is too much trouble for her in looking after her guests. I stayed for three nights in September and would definitely come back and recommend any one wanting to stay in a friendly B & B to stay at the Cozy Nest. The house is positioned overlooking the Bow River and you look across at the Canada Olympic Park. There are excellent walks close by and good public transport to the city if you wish to leave your car at the house. The Breakfast was made to your own requirement and nothing was too much trouble. It was so nice to stay in such a friendly homely establishment and is excellent value Calgary.
