The hotel is fine - clean and functional. It's just a long ways from the airport and there is no shuttle service. Expect to pay at least $30 to get to hotel or airport. I would strongly recommend staying at the north airport hotels which are much closer by taxi for the same price. Also, make sure you recognize that this hotel does not have any airport shuttle service. I think there are 3 dumbbells in the exercise room - no matching weights so ideal for someone that wants to work one side harder then the other.

We tried to check into the hotel at 1:30 p.m. They checked us in then but it took 3 more hours of waiting at the Denny's Restaurant across from them to get into the room. You'd think that they could have had someone clean our room faster; since we had paid. It's an airport inn, so you would think they would make some effort for weary travellers to get into their rooms, but they didn't make any effort to do so.

Our standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. When you arrived at 1:30 p.m., we were able to assist with a pre-check-in; however, the room was still undergoing deep cleaning and sanitization by our housekeeping team, which caused the delay. I understand how frustrating it must have been to wait for an extended period, especially after traveling. One night stay-over in Calgary, chose the location to be near our kids' house.
It is a middle - aged building, mostly renovated, but the unevenness of the floor in the hall tells you there has been some construction to tack on additions to the structure over the years.
Our room #218 is in a funky location: a corner, which makes for a funny room layout (can't see the TV while sitting in bed). The window overlooks a scenic view of a HVAC unit, fortunately not a super noisy one because we sleep with open windows.
The plumbing needs some TLC. Single lever water control for the shower is plumbed backwards: "HOT" gets you cold water and vice versa. Apparently our room was not alone. The toilet flush was funky: must push lever really fast or you don't get a full flush.
To the staff's credit they did give us a rate adjustment for the funky shower and we wound up spending $100 for the night.
Gramma liked the mattress.
Good solid WiFi and thank you for equipping the room with bed side lamps that have plugs for charging your electronics. (So many hotel rooms are real shy of outlets.)
The pool and hot tub are nice. Hot tub although a little small is clean (no green scum) and has good powerful jets. Lots of kids seemed to be enjoying the pool.
Breakfast was somewhat modified for COVID although a lot better than some I had seen on the same trip. They had all the muffins, cereal, yogourt, milk, fruit, toast, pamcakes etc. A little shy on the protein: some synthetic - looking eggs and some sausage. No serve yourself: the attendant must do it for you.

Hotel's Favourite
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful at this hotel. Included breakfast was very tasty with different options every day. WIFI worked great. All amenities in the room functioned very well including the thermostat (as soon as you turned on the heat, it came on immediately and was easy to use).

The only decent thing about this stay was that it is really not far from the airport and easy yo get to but that is wair the OK ends! On our arrival at close to 10pm we were checked into a room that smelled old/musty and possibly smoked in. We were tired and really did not want to go throuh the hassle of getting moved to another room if there even was one.. When walking across the carpet which appeared to be fairly new you could feel holes in the floor under the carpet deep enough to be a tripping hazard. When my wfe went to the washroom she discovered that the bathroom was left with no Toilet Paper and we had to call down to the desk to get some. It was sent up along with coffee pods as what was in the room was very limited. The person that brought it up was actually laughing that we had to call to have roll of TP brought to our room. We did not sleep well at all as the "Pillow Top" mattress may have once been nice but now sags terribly to the point that I woke up witha back ache and I have no back issues. The shower had so low water pressure it was liererally a triickle and no adjustment of the shower head or valve made it any better. I had to resort to getting cups of water from the sink to rinse out shampoo. I also would seriously doubt that the elevator has been inspected recently given the noise and bumps it made when going up or down. When checking out I started to express my concern to the person on the desk and they stated "I Just Work Here".

We stayed here after coming back through town on a trip from bc. This was the middle point of our travel. Regardless we booked it with free points. Checked in and within less than an hour checked out and left. The room had such an awful stale/smoke smell/perhaps a decaying body smell that we couldn’t even stand the smell of it. We pulled back the sheets to see that they had stains on them. The ceiling had stains as well. The breaker box on our floor was left open. The elevator creeks and you wonder if you will make it out of the elevator. The second floor has a window that is open and screen less on the staircase. The main lobby has some “old” bugs along with the dirty hallways and Stained carpets. We did complain at the front to which the employee seemed embarrassed and speechless. I felt bad for him but wanted him to know why we were leaving. He offered to change our rooms but I said the smell of the room was what we couldn’t do and he looked at us with a blank stare as if he couldn’t help us at all. We left and booked at another BW. We have stayed at many hotels and have never left before. We’ve stayed at many best westerns and never had issues before this either. I would not come back to this hotel. Anyone who finds this hotel suitable has very low standards.

Our experience staying here was great!
Our room was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable and made up with nice linens and each bed had 4 pillows. All the usual amenities were there including microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom looked newly renovated with a lovely shower and was well stocked with good quality towels and toiletries. The room was very clean and we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. One thing that stood out to me was that everywhere in the hotel we went, the lobby, hallways and our room smelled very fresh and pleasant. I’ve never noticed that in other hotels.
The staff were all wonderful! Everyone we encountered from the check in and check out staff, and the breakfast room attendant seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They were kind, polite and helpful and we appreciated their warm smiles. Shortly after arrival we tried to turn on the heater and found that it didn’t work. After calling the front desk, the gentleman who checked us in was at our door within a minute and showed us the thermostat on the wall. We had been trying to turn it on at the actual unit. Oops! Lol. We thank him for his courtesy and professionalism and for not laughing at us! Lol
I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Calgary!

This was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and relatively new, and my room was spacious and comfortable. I can’t eat gluten, so I appreciated the sign at breakfast indicating exactly what was gluten free and what wasn’t. I would stay here again.

The hotel is quite literally falling apart. Huge gaps around room door left us feeling unsafe. Took a grown adult to open and close the bathroom door by slamming our bodies into it... despite hanging the housekeeping sign on the door, the housekeeping was non existent and we had to call the front desk daily to have towels, coffee, shampoo etc restocked

Many things not working. Upon arrival the floor by the bathroom was wet snd the room smelled terrible. There wasn’t enough outlets to charge our family of 4’s devices and the outlet by the bathroom was so loose fitting chargers fell out easily. The door wouldn’t close so interior lock had to be used. The elevator ride was bumpy and it made strange sounds which was uncomfortable. The sink drain wouldn’t open after being closed so we had to pry it open with a spoon. Many poor fixes that made the room look cheap and the bathroom was so tiny which was hard to deal with when trying to shower a family of 4 and get us all ready to leave. Would prefer a tub so I could’ve bathed my daughter. The bed was comfortable and the location was great for where we were going but we weren’t pleased with our stay. Disappointing for Best Western.

Not sure about the shuttle - the breakfast starts at 6am
Good afternoon: I am sorry but our hotel is not pet friendly.
The zoo package includes two adult tickets and 2 children tickets to the Calgary zoo with a one night stay. Please feel free to contact the hotel directly for more information
The airport shuttle does run 24 hours. Pick up at the Airport is on demand (call the hotel when you arrive at the airport) whereas drop off is every hour on the hour in the morning which needs to be scheduled the night before departure. Pick up at the airport is a $5.25 pickup fee but drop off is completely free.
