Detailed Reviews
For my work trips I sometimes choose this place since it’s convenient to get to the location I need for work. It’s pretty handy to MacLeod Trail and Chinook Centre as well.
On this visit, I was warmly welcomed by Tony and Rick, whose customer service skills are outstanding.
My room was spacious and very clean, with plenty of space to stash my things, and hang my clothes.
The fridge and microwave are always convenient when I’m here for a few days.
I feel that the lighting may have been upgraded a bit since I was here last, to LED bulbs, which make the room a little brighter. The large window also makes things brighter - the room decor is moody and relaxing.
The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I realize both of these are subjective so your experience may be different.

Hotel's Favourite
Our company had 15 of our employees in town for sales meetings for a few days. We booked them in to stay at Hotel Blackfoot. I worked with the staff at the hotel on the reservations and they were very easy to deal with. The corporate rates they gave us were very reasonable.
Our employees were very impressed with the hotel and the employees. They reported that the rooms were very nice and they enjoyed their stay.

Great hotel - wonderfully clean and well-kept. The housekeeping staff do an outstanding job. The location is outside of the city centre but a quick 10-15 minute drive to downtown. The fitness centre and business centre were nice amenities. The outdoor pool is also nice although not heated.
Each room also has a coffee maker, kettle, mini fridge and microwave which are nice touches.
I'd highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Calgary.

Requests for clean towels and an additional pillow were rejected by unfriendly man working front desk. He said, “We can’t supply an additional pillow because we are fully booked.” That seems rather unlikely and unreasonable. Room service food varied from quite good to poor. Pancakes, in particular, were poor but eggs and toast were fine. We won’t be back.

Overall not the worst experience but I don't think I'd stay here again. Booked through a 3rd party with a sports team and there was about a $100 difference at check out than what the reservation confirmation listed- fees not disclosed. In fairness I'm not sure if this is fault of the hotel or the 3rd party booking. Our breakfast was incuded with the team booking (thankfully) because at a cost of over $80 for 4 people it would not have been worth it. Room was clean and spacious but seemed to have very thin walls as we could hear our neighbor simply clear his throat. Also, we were right beside the elevator and could hear it loud and clear every single time it moved, even over night.Outdoor pool only so not available this time of the year. I liked that it was easy to find and central to a lot of necessities. Staff was fine.

Fast check in and pleasant staff. We were there for two days. Very quiet room and the hotel had great amenities including an outdoor pool and patio and two restaurants including a lounge. We had a large king room. Two wingback chairs and a very comfortable bed with duvet. Air conditioning was practically soundless and the perfect temperature. We used the lounge for a drink and went back for supper, as we preferred their menu, only to discover the meatballs were sold out. The free breakfast was minimal and not worth the estimated $22. The breakfast off the menu was excellent. Great location. We used a taxi and Chinook Mall cost $10.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We were supposed to stay here for 3days and thinking of extending and because of the treatment that we have received from the night front desk Manager we decided to check-out the following day and we had to find another hotel for the remainder of our stay. This night front desk manager was very rude and unprofessional. We were told to turn off our television, not turn it down but TURN OFF, last time I checked the TV is part of the amenities and after 5mins he called us and said there’s a second noise complaint because of my friend’s loud voice and told us that we can leave. My friend is actually partially deaf so for him to say that to her she felt discriminated. This hotel is not a sound proof hotel we can even hear people in the other rooms sneezing and talking. So if you have a crying baby with you expect that you will be asked to leave. The situation was handled poorly coming from a Manager who should be trained to handle situations like this. But instead he didn’t communicated things properly and appropriately. His character and attitude towards us does not have customer service and decency at all he felt so entitled and he’s ruining the name and reputation of this hotel. We won’t be coming back and we don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have stayed at Blackfoot a number of times for work and not once have I been disappointed with any aspect of the stay. This hotel is always in immaculate condition, everything is extremely clean. Blackfoot was the only hotel I stayed in throughout the entire pandemic that had put wipes outside of each elevator and a garbage inside of the elevator. Simple but super smart. I love that there are normal sized pillows on the bed as opposed to 8 tiny square pillows like a lot of hotels do. Staff are welcoming and food is delicious. This is a must stay.

We had to book this hotel last minute sight unseen (no prior research whatsoever) so I was somewhat apprehensive, however we were so tremendously surprised by our whole stay. The hotel is gorgeous, the room was absolutely flawless; clean, elegant and well-appointed and staff second to none. We received two vouchers for free hot breakfast. Sit down, a la carte breakfast (no kidding) and the food and service in the restaurant was exceptional. And to top it off, the room rate (booked through the front desk) was very reasonable AND we were bumped up into the best suite free of charge.
Do yourself a favor and stay here the next time you are in Calgary.

I stayed in a dog friendly 2 Queen Room and it was spacious and very clean wth a Keurig coffee maker and bar fridge. The shower head was divine after a long tiring day.
I ordered food all three nights that I stayed there from the menu at the Smorgasboard Restaurant then brought up to my room (I declined room service) and it was fantastic every time at a good price.
All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful!

I'm not sure about the shuttle service. Didn't use one. Had our own wheels.
Suggest you call the hotel.
I used the hotels private transfer service. It cost me just $40 one way from YYC to Blackfoot.
I also used the same service returning back to YYC. So $80 for a return private transfer to and from the airport.
Not bad, if I am honest.
It is 5 miles or 8km from the core. It takes about 10-15 minutes max to get basically anywhere downtown from the hotel.
We offer a shuttle for certain events like the Brier and Stampede. Call the hotel for times and availability. It is about a 7-10 minute drive to the Stampede Grounds, cabs and public transit are also available.
