I spent an hour in my room and left. It was not clean at all and not at all what the pictures on Expedia show. I did fortunately get a partial refund but they would not refund me the first night because they "held the room all day for me." I complained to Expedia and am working with credit card to get my money back. Don't stay here!

How can this business can even be allowed to obtain a business license to operate is beyond belief. The Olympia Motel is literally worse than a crack shack, and this is by no means an exaggeration.

The room door can't open/close properly as the hinge is broken off the frame. It can't even close or lock properly. The bathroom mirror was broken and never got fixed, along with blown light bulbs. There is water still dripping from the ceiling and they simply covered it up with a white cloth. You can also see black mold on the ceiling . This is hazardous to humans and they didn't even bother repairing it!

There are blood stains on the towel and I doubt it's even washed. Human hair was found on countertops and the toilet seat. I had asked for another room but the front desk person stated they were full, even though the parking lot was nowhere even close to being full.

This was by far the worst place and no one should ever have to risk they health and personal safety just to save a few bucks. Go anywhere else in Calgary but here. You have to see the photos as they don't do enough justice.

I booked this one on Booking.com looking for an inexpensive place to stay near my destination in Calgary. This place has no business advertising itself as a place for tourists to stay. From the homeless people hanging around the property, to the big hole in the office window, to the guy trying to sell me a "Rolex" in the office doorway, to the phone numbers scribbled on the walls of the room...well it was pretty obvious this was a flophouse, a first class dive. Turned around and went across the street to the Red Carpet Inn, a much nicer place by far!

Beware, do yourself a huge favor and just keep driving.
The t.v. didn't work, the wi-fi didn't work either.
Their rooms are dirty, and this hotel is very understaffed. The radiators are falling off the walls. There are holes in the walls. Yet they are worried about a guest ruining the room. It can not be destroyed anymore than it already is.
It's supposed to have no smoking rooms. However, everything smelt like an ashtray.
I slept in my clothes, due to how dirty everything was.
I am very disappointed, and the worst part is that they don't care.

Was looking online for an overnight stay in Calgary on Canada Day weekend. I made the mistake of booking a room here. Room 50 that I was given, is horrible. Dark, smelly, hair all over the bathroom, toilet unclean, very dirty carpet, unidentifiable stuff on walls, huge bright "security" light right next to window, need I go on???? If you just want to stay in a hovel, like one other reviewer said, pick a nice dumpster!

Stayed here during the Calgary Expo 2012 as it was one of the only affordable places not booked up the day before the event. I should've taken this as a sign because from the moment I stepped in to check-in I felt something was off. The owners of this place are so nosy and watch you every time you enter or exit your room. If the owners happen to be reading this: learn some damn management skills! I might be exaggerating but I've never felt so sure that there was a camera or something in the room.

Anyways, I stayed in the 1 queen room with 2 queen beds and both me and my guest woke up itchy/slight burning feeling from the sheets. I don't even want to know how often they wash the covers at this place. Also, the bathroom was just nasty. This is the only place I've ever paid for 2 nights and only stayed one.

This place was a JOKE !! Should have saved the $80 and slept in a dumpster out back.
Had to fix the cable wire myself, use a face cloth for bathtub drain and when got in the tub the view was nasty......very dirty, mold, meldew, dung all over the side of the toilet. ( how the heck did it get there ??????? )
Very thin walls, Not a good place for a honeymoon.....unless you want to put on a show for the neighbors...lol

Our paraplegic stepsister is staying at the Olympia Motel as social services put her there. When in trouble we tried to get through to her and the owner wouldn't let us speak to her. Upon numerous calls to the office the nasty owner would not put us through and we had to call the Calgary Police. I would not recommend this place to anyone as the owner is an inconsiderate you know what!!!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The first red flag was when I was given the remote control for the television upon check-in and had to give a $50 deposit to ensure it was returned upon check-out. Remote control didn't even work had to get up to manually adjust power and volume. Supposed to have free wifi but couldn't even pick the signal up from my phone or laptop. Room was dated, carpet stained and badly in need of a renovation. By far the worst part was the bathroom. Mouldy shower with old rotten caulking peeling off, cracked tiles, cracked toilet, the water from the tap smelled like sulphur, and there wasn't even a plastic toilet paper roll to hold the toilet paper. Do not stay here.
