The staff went above and beyond during our stay over Christmas; and it was more than we could have ever asked for. The facilities were clean. The breakfast was great. The pool was beautiful and well maintained salt water; which was very nice. Other than the elevator being down. It was a great stay. And will definitely recommend and look at staying at this location again. All the very best in the new year!

I have been coming to this location for the last 12 years. Staff and pleasant and very helpful. I especially enjoy the breakfast offered normally. This year even though they have closed the breakfast room because of Covid-19 they still offered a variety of breakfast options to go. Thank you to the staff for coming to work. My training can be very stressful so I really appreciate being able to stay in a location where I feel comfortable and I know the staff are very welcoming.

Check in was quick and easy. The room we were given was lovely and spacious. There was a small brew station in the room, with a full brew station at reception complete with fruit and cookies. We didn't use the gym but did use the pool whilst we were there. It was quite strange as there was no changing room per se, just a multi-use toilet to change in. I only managed to stay in the pool for about 10 minutes due to the overwhelming chlorine smell getting on my chest which was a pity. Breakfast was great, with alot of variety - eggs, sausage patties, bread, cakes, cereal, waffles. Check out was also easy, as was arranging the complimentary shuttle to the airport. We would definitely stay again.

Country Inn and Suites is one of our goto’s for a decent experience at a good price. Needed a last minute place when we couldn’t get on a flight and found a deal on Priceline for a same day check in. Never been to this particular location before.

Okay, first. No one will mistake this for a luxury property. The room furnishings are a bit worn and 2.5* is the correct rating. However it was clean and offered free breakfast if only just grab and go now in these pandemic times.

The reason I’m compelled to write this review is because of the check-in experience with Irvin who I understand is the overnight weekend reception. Arriving tired, after midnight and hungry as even Burger King was closed, Irvin was so welcoming. He gave us what welcome cookies were left and set us up with Hot Chocolate and tea to get us through the night. He genuinely seemed happy to welcome us and that we had chosen Country Inn and Suites. Sometimes I find that when it is a Priceline prepaid reservation you get the worst room and indifferent service because you got a ‘cheap’ rate. Not so here.

It is because of these little kindnesses we would consider Country Inns and Suites again even though there are so many similar choices in the area.

Great job Irvin!

My family and I checked in late. Staff was pleasant. Hotel offers free cookies, tea and coffee in lobby. We got to our room and got settled. Due to winter we left the lobby wet and muddy but by the time I came back for a coffee the lobby was mopped and clean. Breakfast in the morning was hot, replenished frequently and they even had tables that seated whole families. Very spacious. Parking was plentiful. Staff was always available when needed and pleasant. Rooms are definately not new but very clean and well kept. Rooms were large and comfortable. Definately will be revisiting this hotel. All of this is extremely hard to find in a hotel for under $100 taxes in but this hotel delivered!!

Excellent hotel. Ample free parking and great location between airport and Sunridge Mall. Lots of restaurants close by and 15 minutes to airport.

Well run, as everything was clean and modern. Room with 2 queen beds was very spacious with lots of power outlets for kids devices. Bathroom clean and large. Shower was strong and in bath. Room had Hamilton Beach single cup coffee pot and coffee pods and teas. Coffee and tea drinks also free at front desk in the daytime after breakfast ends.

Breakfast from 0600 to 0930 was a real good hot breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausages, waffles, cereal, fruits and oatmeal as well as 4 different types of cereal.

Swimming pool and gym were good, and clean. Pool is an indoor one as it's Calgary! There was a business centre and laundry room with washers and driers for $2.

Very, very happy with the comfy beds and air conditioning after a month on the road with some terrible hotels along the way. For example we stayed at more expensive hotels that had only a bag of cold junk for breakfast citing Covid19 in August 2022! Also places that had broken air conditioning in 40c weather!

This place is a gem. Friendly staff and professionally run. Outstanding end to our trip. Recommended highly for quality and value for money!!

Taxis are very expensive in Calgary so make sure you stay close to your destination in the area. Had no problems getting taxi to and from the airport covered by hotel. Clean and far enough from the airport to be extremely quiet for an “airport area hotel”. About 15 minutes from airport and downtown. No super close convenience stores that I saw and very limited vending machines so if you want anything else to eat or drink before breakfast, bring it with you. Comfortable bed with desk area, microwave and fridge.
Large bathroom and closet.

This hotel is severely understaffed. When we arrived we (and multiple other guests) were told our rooms were not ready. Most left their numbers and went off as the time stretched on. Then we found out why. The elevator at this hotel has been broken since October. But you won't find that out until you arrive. 8 months housekeeping has been hauling everything up and down the stairs!!! One house keeper showed us her wrist brace that she has to wear due to the increased wear and tear. Of course vendors won't haul their stuff up stairs so no ice or vending machines except on the main floor. Our room was missing a few things but we went back down so those poor housekeepers wouldnt have to AGAIN! We had some sort of stain on our duvet cover that the staff had already changed promptly and politely. The fake trees in the lobby are heavy with dust as is the lobby grand staircase, and that's your first impression.

The free breakfast would be a standard hotel one, except for being understaffed, the staff couldn't keep up and were cranky and scolding guests about being in the way when they were only lined up patiently waiting for sething to eat, or about how they put their dishes in the dirty bins that were overflowing and people were just trying their best to be helpful. By 8:30 the yogurt and fruit was all gone so very limited options if you are trying to eat healthy.

For a non-smoking hotel the stairwells and sure smoky. Upper Management must not care much about their housekeepers when they've been hauling everything up flights of stairs for 8 months. In house management doesn't bother to warn guests about the elevator ahead of time even though this is not a new problem. First and last time for this chain for our family!

Thank you dcpratte for you time in posting a review following your stay with us over the July long weekend. On behalf of our entire team we are sorry to hear that your experience with us was not up the the standard that we strive to provide our guests. As with many businesses you are correct that we are struggling to find enough qualified team members to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible for our guests and apologize that you were made to wait for your room to be ready when you arrived on a very busy Canada Day. Our problems however should not be yours and we appreciate your feedback on the areas that most need attention such as the plants and staircase in the lobby. As for the elevator we have been experiencing some issues with supply chain in trying to obtain the proper board to replace the failing one that has caused us some problems over the last few months and assure you we are working closely with our elevator maintenance company to hopefully have this rectified as quickly as possible. On behalf of our team we are truly sorry that your experience with us will be your last and appreciate your time in sharing your feedback with us. Kind Regards, Leanne Shaw General Manager

The room was cold and wouldn't not warm up despite changing the heat. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and there was garbage in the garbage can when I arrived in the room. The carpet was very worn and with some holes in it and felt dirty underfoot - the furnishings here are clearly old. The TV didn't work at all, couldn't get anything but static, but at least the internet did. The towels were frayed and looked like they'd been cut to size. Front desk staff was rude upon check in. At least it was fairly quiet at night. I'm glad my company paid for my stay because it was awful.

Ok, here’s the deal. This is not a 4.5 star property on anybody’s scale unless it’s the first hotel you have ever stayed in and have no comparison. In the evening you pull up to a darkly lit Hogwarts looking building. The first thing you will notice is a very loud buzzing sound under the portico, so loud it could trigger a convulsion on a weaker person. Then you walk in and are welcomed by the dirtiest rug that hasn’t attempted to be cleaned since the property opened. The front desk staff never smiled or said hello or welcomed us. Lack of training or just having a bad day? Clearly don’t want to be manning the front desk. The room was fine though the carpet could use a good steam cleaning or replacement. The AC never got cold so we had to open the window and get black lung from the BC area wildfires to cool down the room. Bathroom was clean. The towels were thin and old. The breakfast has microwave omelets and bacon, bread, waffles and tasty coffee, could use some fruit for goodness sakes. I won’t even describe the carpet.

HOWEVER, having said all that, the hotel is fine for the $100+/- price point. Just don’t think you are getting a genuine 4.5 property for a bargain.

Once we receive your call we will dispatch the shuttle. Please note our shuttle runs from 4am am - 1 am. For return transfers from the hotel to the airport please book with our front desk.
