Detailed Reviews
In general, speaking the stay was okay, but a few things to share with you.
1) the front desk agents need more training in customer service, the lady who checked us in was very rude to me on every interaction her name in Loveleen Kaur, the worst attitude I asked her why she gave the internet code for one night only if I’m staying 3 nights? she said "tomorrow I will give you another code, very inconvenient by the way, the following morning I asked another agent the chance to have the Wi-Fi code for the hole stay, she gave me a 7 days code, was that hard?? also I asked this girl to change the orange juice to a bottle of water, she did it "sure, no problem!", but when the same situation happened with Loveleen, she said NO "if you want a bottle of water the cost is 3 dollars, I said well you know yesterday your colleague changed for me at no cost, she replied "well that is not how this works", so she just gave me one bottle, "ok whatever", then my keys were deactivated so I came back to the desk asking to reprogram my keys but she (Loveleen) roll her eyes (wth), I’m the customer!!
2) the room was okay, not wow (the sofa had some rips), which I reported to the front desk.
3) My wife found some dog pee behind the toilet, which means that the cleaning of the room is quite doubtful.
4) The shower is good!
5) The gardens (entrance - parking) need a better shape, they are very neglected.
For me, the cost-benefit of the value for your money is not worth it, paying so much money to receive bad service from a single employee and the work of the rest of the team is affected, as well as the image of this property.
I would like to be contacted by the management.
Thks!

Well, here's the thing...you can often get this place for appreciably less than other hotels in Calgary and in this area. There is a reason for that. If you are realistic with your expectations, they may get met. I say may because even for a discount hotel, hair in the shower that is not mine, is not cool.
So the price is right (just under $100 C) the pillows and bed were fairly comfy. Check in was easy and cordial. The hotel parking lot was very full on a Sunday and this place meets the needs of their market. The bathroom had all the amenities one would require as well as mouthwash which was a nice little extra. The room had a fridge and a microwave. So there are some positives and it is better than some places I have stayed.
The negatives, furniture is dated and has a lot of wear and tear. A number of channels on the TV were fuzzy for whatever reason. There were more than a few hairs in the shower that were not mine. The drain backed up and I was ankle deep in water during my shower. Otherwise this place was adequate for me. It might not be adequate for a honeymooning couple!
The price for Calgary is right so again, book with reasonable expectation.

+1

Garima & Loveleen even on my third visit at the Riviera Plaza & Conference Center Hotel, are absolutely wonderful customer service oriented individuals. Within a blink of an eye, I was checked in, and in a warm soft comfy room with amenities such as pool, restaurant, and self serve beer cooler.
The surrounding area has almost an infinite array of Food & Beverage options and some of my top faves include Basil (Pho), A&W, KFC, Taco Bell, Paul's Pizza, Buffalo Wild Wings (delivery), Quesada, Petra Shawarma, and Smashburger to name a few!
If you're in an adventurous mood Sunridge Mall is close by and neighbouring that is my favorite book store and also a movie theatre where I watched Avatar 2. There are two massage parlours by 5 minutes walk one is called Tiger Massage and the prices are about $80/hour for a massage session.
Within the hotel, the showers have excellent pressure and ample space for bath tub, the $15 dollar breakfast is sufficient however overpriced in my opinion (still delicious get it everytime I can), the fitness center is tantamount to a triathlete like myself and the pool offers a great space for recovery and relaxation with hot tub and sauna.
The hotel itself is perfect value and I hope their pricing structure doesn't change much! I live in Calgary but frequent this joint often on my staycation nights.

We spent one night at Riviera Divya Sutra Plaza while traveling. The primary reason we selected this hotel is because both Trip Advisor and Expedia seemed to be pushing the room and it was by far the cheapest option with good ratings. Check in was quick but they have one weird request that all guests staying in the room must provide government issued ID. The room is clean and comfortable for one night. The hotel offers nothing special and the breakfast is a bag with a muffin and juice but for the price and a quick stay it is adequate.

Earlier we noticed that someone was smoking what I know to smell like a synthetic CBD, we know we work in the hospital and we were calling the front desk but they would not answer and just drop the call, I mean how rude can someone be!!!!!! We waited to see if someone would call us back but we ended having a nap while we were waiting but when I woke up i went down the front desk to ask for towels because the one we have, we have to put under the door to block the smell from coming in our room and some of the staff acts like they dont or didnt hear what we were saying but we still have to act properly because we dontwant to stoop down that level! Thats why i’m writing this review so other families wont experience what we have experienced.

Checked in around 9:30PM first room 347 one single bed for 2 people smoke detector hanging from roof, phone not working, called with our cell phone 5 mins before we got an answer, we had to pay $10.00 to upgrade. Moved us to another room 222 no heat they did come and fix it but at 12:30 am we went to turn up the heat and nothing, changed us to yet another room 221.From the time we moved 12:35am we only heard screaming ( vulgar language) in the hallway up till 3ish. Starting at 9am the cleaning personnel had extremely loud conversation over the vacuum in the hallway no consideration for the cliental staying there. overall a deplorable stay never again. We also expressed our concerns to the staff on in the morning he refused to give us his name or the managers name. Upon leaving we seen him crumble up the paper he took the info on and tossed it under the counter. We were informed that some one would contact us we have yet to receive any communication.

I was there 3 nights, the service was very disgusting, they never cleaned the toilest or changed towels even if you request them to do the room service, the answer is " we cannot do due to covid" how is it supposed that you stay in a hotel and you have to wash the toilests, do the bed, sweep and everything unclog the bathtub?
The breakfast was included and it was really poor, if you want a real breakfast you need to buy it.
Some rooms smell really bad to a cigarret and marihuana.
If you try to call front desk from the room you never get answer, air conditioner has a bad odors.
You can see a very poor maintenance everywhere.
Little details make a big difference.

Yash & Bhakti are the best hotel concierge I have ever met. Each time we stay stay at this hotel we have been more than happy. The rooms come with a mini fridge a microwave and an extra sink which is convenient for warming up takeout left overs and are always cleaned well. They also feature a gym which is included in the rate. I don’t bother checking in anywhere else and make sure you have a credit card for your booking!

Hi Sir / Mam,
Greetings from all of us here at Ramada Plaza Calgary Airport.. Thank you for your time sending us email for your question. Regarding the shuttle service we only provide a ride from the airport going to the hotel & from the hotel going to the airport. There is public transit (by bus & train until midnight) going to downtown for more or less 25 minutes, or by taxi. If you have further question please don't hesitate to email us again. Thank you & have a nice day.
There is an hourly shuttle for this hotel, If you miss it, you have to wait another hour, or take a taxi. Also, when you check out of the hotel, make sure you have booked your return trip to the airport, so they will reserve spots on the shuttle. Otherwise, if you just show up in the lobby, you may not get on it.
Great full breakfast option was around $5.00 posted in the elevator not on the menu.
