Our stay was pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator and an incredibly long flight of stair that my husband , who uses a cane to walk, had to navigate. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable so overall it was good.

Hotel is old and needs an upgrade! The room felt so cramped and the beds were creaky. We had stains on the carpet in our room. The desk chairs in our room were rock hard and uncomfortable. Hotel also charges a fee for having a safe in the room which is silly since most, if not all, hotels have that. The shower also has barely any pressure.

This would be a really nice place to stay at if they would improve on their complementary breakfast as it was a big disappointment. The first morning we got a bag each to take to our room to eat because of the pandemic. When we opened up the bag there was a croissant, an orange & a drink - in box. The second morning it was a bit better than the first morning because there was a muffin, an apple and a drink-in box. We have stayed at hotels during this pandemic and we have also got a paper bag to take to the room and inside the bag is an egg sandwich to heat up, yogurt, some fruit and a muffin. They also were short on towels for the rooms and also the pool area.

My Wife and I planned a trip to Calgary to take our niece to the Zoo. We booked a suite at Comfort Inn South through Expedia. My wife called the hotel to confirm the reservation and having been burned before with hotels with facilities that where not available. She specifically asked if their Hot Tub was open. She was told it was. We arrived in Calgary and went to the hotel to check in. After registering we proceeded to look for the hot tub. To our dismay it was empty and cordoned off. We went to the desk and asked about the hot tub and were assured that the required part was on site and the hot tub would be running by the next day. We stayed 4 days and the hot tub was not running when we left with a puny $25 credit on our bill.
After arrival, we preceded to our room only to find the temperature in the room was colder than the temperature in the refrigerator. The room thermostat worked only to turn the air conditioning off and on. The temperature control did nothing. The WIFI was up and down like a yoyo the entire time we were there. I even tried calling their tech-support people and got no answer. I then talked to the front desk and was told that they would have tech-support call me. Half an hour later, the room phone rang and it was their tech-support. The person on the other end of the phone had an extremely heavy accent, to the point that I had great difficulty understanding her. There was also kids screaming in the background as well as a baby crying periodically. After approximately and hour on the phone, she managed to get my laptop and my wife's tablet working. This fix lasted for less than an hour, after which the devices went back to not connecting correctly. We ended up running off the hot spot on my cell phone for the rest of the evening. We also had issues with the free breakfast. The first day they supplied scrambled eggs and sausage as well as various other hot and cold foods. The second day, the scrambled eggs were back, accompanied by some form of fried egg that was described as cardboard. The third there was no scrambled eggs just the cardboard and sausage meat in the same shape as the eggs. The fourth day was more of the same. All in all we were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel and will never stay in it again.

Traveled 12 hrs to stay at this hotel only to be greeted by an arrogant desk manager who told us our prepaid bookings were void because we diddent have a visa to put as damage collateral
Their was my wife and two kids plus me and they told us to leave "find another hotel" is what they said. 1.5 hrs on customer service with choice hotels and we ended up booking the rest of our trips with the ramada hotel chain witch doesn't smell as bad and is 100% more modern. I'll never use this hotel chain again. BRUTAL! George or whatever his name is behind the desk was looking for a fight and acted like a low-end bar bouncer/ gangster.
Keep you family's away like below posts stated

Absolutely brutal. We booked this hotel 2 weeks ago. I had got a call a week ago from them but they left no message so I didn't call them back.
But my card was not working so they CANCELED my booking the day we were traveling there. As soon as I got an email saying it was canceled, I called them and asked what was going on and to secure our rooms they said they had no more rooms left.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not trust them with your bookings or your money!

Also, we booked the hotel for $120 a night, then looking today they sky rocketed their prices to $230..

Do not stay in room 401. Bed is has huge gap (like the inside of the mattress has been cut or split somehow), the a/c does not work, the bath tub barely drains, it smells musty. When I spoke to the front desk and manager they offered a 10% discount. When I said that was not good enough for all the issues I was told “why didn’t you bring it up to us”. Excuse me! but those are problems beyond one evening. Then I was told why didn’t I just leave to another hotel. Thanks tips, it’s stampede weekend and after coming back to our hotel from a concert late at night, the last thing on your mind is “let’s leave her and book another hotel room”. If your staff is that incompetent to be checking rooms regularly, specifically when you are charging $500 for one night, it borderline negligence. Do better! As a business owner I can’t even begin to believe that is your way you are speaking and dealing with guests. This franchisee should be penalized and have to go through some franchise training.

You can do a lot better than this place. The customer service is not great. There’s no restaurant and only a couple of vending machines if you are peckish. And not really any attractive restaurants nearby (unless an A &W drive-thru turns you on.). As for housekeeping, we were unclear on when the room gets serviced. In any event, they don’t make up the beds everyday and don’t give you fresh towels everyday. And if you drink the in-room coffee, you need to track down housekeeping to get new coffee pods for the next day. So you better be prepared for that. The shower water was cold on one day. As for the breakfast, well, it’s what you might expect from a place like this: cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, some fruit. So no complaints there. We won’t be returning.

The hotel is fairly dated and you can see they tried to do some updates but they were done very poorly, making it look more rundown. That isn't, however, what inspired me to write this review. The absolutely worst part about staying in this hotel was the check-in experience. My brother and his children were meeting up with us to go to the Olympic Park and had made it to the hotel before us. I started checking in and had talked to them so the lady checking me in knew we were together. Without us asking or saying anything about swimming she decided we needed to know that they were not guests and couldn't swim in the pool because and I quote "this isn't a public swimming pool". So lecture about swimming aside, my 10 year old daughter walked up to the desk and didn't say anything and the lady said to her, "Is there a problem?" I looked over at my mother and gave her a look as if to say 'what is going on here' and the lady I think got the hint that she had went to far so tried to explain it away by saying my daughter was staring at her and she thought she had questions. So weird and such a negative experience. Honest opinion: this place is a dive and the staff (the one we met anyways) are rude. Don't stay here.

The room was perfect for my needs. It was quiet, clean, had plenty of space and microwave and small fridge.

The gym was very minimal, but I did use the treadmill and there were adequate dumbbells for weight training. I was not impressed with the lack of cleaning supplies and often no towels in the Fitness area.

Breakfast was good with several choices for all dietary needs.

Stuff were courteous and helpful.

If I needed an extended stay in Calgary, I would definitely stay there again.

I'm not sure how many rooms they have. We were able to check in early because our room was ready.. I'm not about the cancellation policy or late check out or luggage storage.

We do not offer a free airport shuttle service from the airport, there are a couple options from the airport. First being taking a taxi and the second using the public transportation system. There is a bus that will take you from the airport to downtown and from there you can take a taxi which would be more economical.
