Our stay was pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator and an incredibly long flight of stair that my husband , who uses a cane to walk, had to navigate. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable so overall it was good.

So we got this room super last minute. We walked into the lobby and I thought oh no this place is awful, the furniture in the lobby is worn out and has holes in it, there are no baseboards and over all it looks extremely rough. However we got to our king suite and wow were we surprised, large clean and well stocked. The road noise is pretty bad as we were facing MacLeod Trail and the a/c unit was loud. But the bed and pillows were comfortable! The breakfast room was so hot we couldn't stay in there, and the food was so so, definitely not the best breakfast but also not the worst.

I experienced the most abusive staff at the South Comfort Inn-I am in absolute disbelief about the whole situation! They charged us for a stay and denied us our room! My sister reserved a jacuzzi room for me as a special gift for 2 nights. We went to check in, and there were problems with the card she was using and they were telling us it wasn’t going through. We knew there was a lot of $ in it, so were confused about what was going on. There were other customers with the same problem. Many of us were on the side calling the bank. Staff switched over and we were switched to another employee- who was a woman & we did not get the name of. I was immediately put off as I could hear her talking rudely and inappropriately to other staff about customers. My sister talked to the bank and after lots of tries they said though they were having some problems, some of the changes from the hotel did go through and there was nothing wrong on their end. My sister went back and talked to the hotel employee again who was refusing any responsibility on their end- and said it’s the banks problem- the bank was on the phone telling us with her there that it was the hotels problem. My sister left to deal with the bank and I went close by for coffee- note, I’m disabled and have a mobility aide- so was stuck wondering around in the winter without a hotel for hours while my sister tried to deal with this:( My sister end up getting confirmation by the bank with a bank statement and emails stating that over $500 was charged to her account by the Comfort Inn that evening. We have copies of this. My sister called the hotel back and got the same rude employee we had before. She refused to listen to my sister- or any accountability on the hotels behalf. My sister shared that she has the statements that the hotel charged her- She kept telling my sister that they did not and that she was confused and my sister suggested she investigate further and the employee said she would not keep going back and forth & then hung up on my sister. Then they would not answer their phones for the rest of the night. It’s absolutely disgusting behaviour- so beyond unprofessional! I worked a lot of similar customer service jobs when I was very young, but we would never be able to treat customers this way. After hours of me wondering around and in pain, we found another hotel- no problem with the card there. We did not want to even go back in to the Comfort Inn and deal with that abusive employee. And I would not stay there after that- even though I had absolute right to as we paid for a stay! We are instead dealing with it with the head offices and bank to get the money back-but seriously DO NOT stay here!! Also, would rate 0 stars if that were an option!

The room was perfect for my needs. It was quiet, clean, had plenty of space and microwave and small fridge. The gym was very minimal, but I did use the treadmill and there were adequate dumbbells for weight training. I was not impressed with the lack of cleaning supplies and often no towels in the Fitness area. Breakfast was good with several choices for all dietary needs. Stuff were courteous and helpful. If I needed an extended stay in Calgary, I would definitely stay there again.

While the carpets and elevators are dated the Hotel was very clean as far as we could tell, certainly our room was. For a quick overnight stay all was fine. The bathroom has been recently upgraded and is nice. Breakfast was as expected but has an early close time of 9:30. Lots of good parking in the back.

paid 670 for 3 night stay. average breakfast, average hotel, bed was terrible, low pressure on shower. Hot tub was nice and hot and the pool was warm. 2/4 days there were no towels in the pool area. Had to ask the front desk. No room cleaning except for every 3rd day which was not done. not overly impressed with Comfort Inn hotel. Would try a different hotel before going back to this one.

Traveled 12 hrs to stay at this hotel only to be greeted by an arrogant desk manager who told us our prepaid bookings were void because we diddent have a visa to put as damage collateral Their was my wife and two kids plus me and they told us to leave "find another hotel" is what they said. 1.5 hrs on customer service with choice hotels and we ended up booking the rest of our trips with the ramada hotel chain witch doesn't smell as bad and is 100% more modern. I'll never use this hotel chain again. BRUTAL! George or whatever his name is behind the desk was looking for a fight and acted like a low-end bar bouncer/ gangster. Keep you family's away like below posts stated

Do not stay in room 401. Bed is has huge gap (like the inside of the mattress has been cut or split somehow), the a/c does not work, the bath tub barely drains, it smells musty. When I spoke to the front desk and manager they offered a 10% discount. When I said that was not good enough for all the issues I was told “why didn’t you bring it up to us”. Excuse me! but those are problems beyond one evening. Then I was told why didn’t I just leave to another hotel. Thanks tips, it’s stampede weekend and after coming back to our hotel from a concert late at night, the last thing on your mind is “let’s leave her and book another hotel room”. If your staff is that incompetent to be checking rooms regularly, specifically when you are charging $500 for one night, it borderline negligence. Do better! As a business owner I can’t even begin to believe that is your way you are speaking and dealing with guests. This franchisee should be penalized and have to go through some franchise training.

You can do a lot better than this place. The customer service is not great. There’s no restaurant and only a couple of vending machines if you are peckish. And not really any attractive restaurants nearby (unless an A &W drive-thru turns you on.). As for housekeeping, we were unclear on when the room gets serviced. In any event, they don’t make up the beds everyday and don’t give you fresh towels everyday. And if you drink the in-room coffee, you need to track down housekeeping to get new coffee pods for the next day. So you better be prepared for that. The shower water was cold on one day. As for the breakfast, well, it’s what you might expect from a place like this: cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, some fruit. So no complaints there. We won’t be returning.

Terrible experience with comfort inns. Will never book this hotel ever again. Front desk was rude. Didn’t accept debit visa and offered no solutions or refund. No manager to speak too, guy at the front desk claimed “he’s in charge here”. Absolute joke!
