This place is really nice. HOWEVER. 1 Entry codes arrived late so we couldn’t get in. We were left outside in the cold despite calling the advertised number three times. Eventually an email arrived.2 The extra breakfast included no milk bread or pastries. It was just cereal bars, cereal (with no milk??) and yoghurt. There was tea and coffee but again no milk. 3 We had no contact from anyone, even by phone, throughout our stay. 4 Despite asking 3 times, 6 weeks after our stay our security deposit has not been refunded. We didn’t break anything and left the place tidy and spotless. So they’ve effectively charged us an extra $100 for the 1 night stay.

Chris, my goodness! May I ask who you tried to call? We were wondering why we never heard from you, perhaps you had the wrong number? Seeing as you booked through a partner I'm wondering if you tried to call the booking service by accident. Milks is kept in the beverage bar fridge not your personal room fridge . All the yogurt and other items are in there as well. Did you read the arrival email with all this information? I can also see that your security deposit was in fact refunded, you did not wait for you bank to process this before writing the review unfortunately.

Had a very good stay here! I had a HUGE room, clean, jetted tub quiet setting. I will be back! Thank you. Very fast in accommodating the need for a later alternative for place to stay in Calgary. Right on the bow river. Lovely spot!

Great place to stay! Quiet, relaxing, and affordable! Loved the view of the Bow river and the Jacuzzi tub, highly recommend staying here! Will definitely be staying in the Royal king again and recommend any friends who are planning a trip to Calgary!

Being in the service industry, I am very particular where I stay. I was recommended Along River Ridge by a friend and it did not disappoint! Exceptionally clean rooms, extra amenities like a hot tub, pool table and of course, the gorgeous view of the river. The cute personal touches made us feel extra special and we felt relaxed and refreshed after our weekend stay. Will 100% be coming back. Thank you for a beautiful weekend!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful place! The rooms are gorgeous and extremely clean! We loved the big jacuzzi tub in the Royal suites and the fireplace! We were also surprised with the massive breakfast arrangement. We’re looking forward to coming back, especially in the summer so we can sit out back and enjoy the river views!

Very disappointing. No breakfast service. Under amenities, breakfast and fine chocolates.Neither exist. Beware, mot all rooms have a private bath within the room. Owner asked to be called for any issues but never returned call. Very over rated. More like a shared air b&b than a true bed and breakfast.

Carolyn, we are sad to hear your review. I can see you booked through booking.com and as we did not miss any calls during your stay I must assume you were calling them instead of us. This is disappointing as we are very responsive and would have certainly taken care of any requests. I can also see you booked without breakfast through booking.com meaning that there was no meal option included and you did not pay for this feature. Please try again and book directly through us so we can chat with you directly. May I also recommend our luxury rooms - the royal king and queen suites are incredible with jet tubs and steam showers. The room you are referencing is more suited to a large gathering in the lower level with many common spaces instead of everything being in suite. We would be happy to guide you when booking as it is difficult to choose room options using a booking partner.

The Royal Queen room was wonderful, included a fireplace which I which I wish I could have used, but was too hot in Calgary. Lovely jet tub, huge shower, very clean. Chocolates provided as a treat - which was a wonderful surprise. Shopping/eating near by and wonderful trails along the Bow. Highly Recommended! I will return.

We stayed in the River View room which was nice and quiet, had a t.v. and a big comfy bed. We loved being on the river, went for a nice walk right out the back door. Close to the university, grocery stores and a shopping mall. It had everything we needed. We'll definitely stay again. The three bedroom suite with central kitchen, pool table, sitting areas and an outdoor hot tub would be great for a group of 2 or 3 couples.
