I rarely ever write negative reviews but the only thing "Super8" about this motel was how "super" bad it was. Took a $300 room deposit as my colleague and I had foreign credit card... 2am I wanted to sleep so I didn't moan about it, meanwhile, the guest who called while we were filling out registration was told $100 room deposit. It doesn't matter if it's $50 or $5000, but don't change it by guest while standing in front of you that looks bad on staff.. secondly, in the front desk area there was some sort of yard sale type of thing at the front lobby. A table with old alarm clocks and lamps and things with painters tape with prices written on it like $5, $2 etc as if it were a garage sale. Not professional, I worked for the parent company Wyndham Group and I know the standards we set of our hotels... Then, the room. The door didn't fit right so there was quite a large gap, allowing light from the parking lot to enter our unit, the bed sheet on one bed was stained with something yellow... The second bed had cigarette burn holes despite being "non-smoking" The shower didn't work properly, and made loud noises when turned on and leaked onto the floor, and around the sink area there seemed to be what looked like blood or something around it uncleaned from the previous stay. I'm a bit biased because usually I stay in a higher class hotel(usually 3-4 star properties) but this was horrid even for $84 a night. I'd have expected closer to $20-30 a night for the condition the room was in. Voiced our concerns to front desk at checkout to return our $300 deposit and the man laughed and said they'd look at it.... Definitely doesn't meet the standards that a Wyndham property should have.

We stayed at Super 8 Motel village for 4 weeks. Staff were very good, our room had a kitchenette, with all the ammenities we needed. Very clean and looks like rooms have been renovated. The Office staff were very good.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. We booked a kitchenette room on 1st floor for one week. Got there and they had us on 2nd floor. I refused it so they gave us a room with 2 queen beds, no kitchenette available BUT a person came in as we were trying to get another room and they gave him a kitchenette room!!! 1st floor! Room was dirty, not sure what was on the ceiling but looked like dried blood. Couldn't control the heat, had to run the air conditioner. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Ended up having to stay three extra days and was charged full price for room😠 Breakfast was a joke. Cold cereal and 1/2 a muffin at 7 a m. Will not be back....

We add to wait 25 minutes at the door to check in at midnight. It was not funny. There was nobody at the front desk.

Parking limited on week days as employees from business in the area are parking in the hotel parking lot with out checking if the is a customer parked at the hotel spot in the parking spot in front of the room. We had to park at least 6 doors down and my husband has problems walking long distances, in the sot snow in the parking lot.

I only had to stay for one night at Super 8 Village, but my stay was great. The people were very nice, the bed was great and the staff also called a taxi for me when I checked out.

I am a frequent traveler and guest of the Super 8 in Motel Village, Calgary. I have stayed here several times over this past year and every time have had a wonderful stay. ✔ Rooms have always been clean and reasonably priced💲. ✔ House keepers, front desk staff & the manager are always pleasant and accommodating. ✔ One of the few hotels left in Calgary with smoking🚬 rooms & that is pet 🐕friendly🐈. ✔Also one of the few places which still takes a cash deposit of you don't have a credit card. It's a little pricey at $300, but I have never had an issue in getting my deposit back in full upon a check of my room. ✔ There are several places close by for eating in and taking out. All within walking distance there is Domino's, Papa John's, Dairy Queen, Smokehouse BBQ restaurant. Vietnamese Restaurant, Joeys Only, McDonald's, Dennys which is open 24 /7. . . . . ✅ The towel & pillow situation does leave a little to be desired but luckily, I always travel with my own anyway. So still, no real complaints there either. So there you have it, If you just want a place to lay you're head for a couple of days and not be bothered, then this is a good option when choosing a hotel. 🌟Oh and summer is great when the outside pool is open too ❗

This was one of the lowest priced motels available in Calgary and I collect Wyndham points so I try to stay at Super 8's. I was pleasantly surprised at the room, it was clean and comfortable in good repair. The only thing I was not impressed with was the size of the bathroom, I am over 6 ft. and have wide shoulders. The bathroom was narrow and I had to fight with the door to go in to shower or use the bathroom. It was built that way years ago so the present owners/managers can't do anything but that doesn't affect everything else about the room. The breakfast was not wonderful but it is included in the price of the room so it was okay. I would recommend this property very comfortably. I had a very good stay for my three days

Price was low, bathroom needs minor repairs, zero wifi. Tried and tried and tried to use their Wifi, had work to do, had to use the small screen on my phone.
