Detailed Reviews
Unless you book this location through one of the park and fly services, they do not provide a shuttle. I thought I would save a few bucks by staying here instead of some of the other, slightly closer location and ended up paying more as I had to Uber to and from the airport. I also booked the hotel because it had a small fitness center and a swimming pool and both of those services were unavailable due to construction which wasn't communicated prior to placing my non-refundable booking. The website also says parking is $5 a day, but it's actually $7 a day.
Unlike some of the other reviews, my room was clean, but the hallway was a little dirty and the stairwell was a disaster due to the construction.
The only bright spot was the free breakfast, which wasn't gourmet, but was ok.

Our family of four enjoyed our recent stay at this hotel. Appreciated the warm cookies and efficient service. We asked for extra towels and toothpaste on separate occasions and both were promptly delivered. My kids loved the pool and it was nice that they provided ample towels in the pool area. Free parking always helps. Room was comfortable but floor was oddly wet near the TV and there was no safe in the room even though there was a safe in the other room from a previous stay. Breakfast was average but service was great. Excellent value for money and a quick drive into the city.

We slept there for two night and they didn't even clean our room or changed the dirty towels. At the front desk they told us that they don't clean the rooms everyday which normally in hotels at this price category they definitively do this.
I did worked in a hotel and this is not acceptable for me.
Really disappointed by this.

Hotel's Favourite
On a recent ministry trip with FOI Canada to Calgary, Alberta My wife and I had the privilege of staying with the kind folks at Doubletree by Hilton for 5 nights. I am not inclined to write a review of a hotel unless it is really good and exceeds expectations, or it is really horrible and people need to be warned to stay away.
Well, this experience was exceptional and these folks deserve the recognition. The property is not downtown but is so centrally located that we were never more than 20 minutes from any of our meetings. The staff was so friendly and helpful that I thought I was at Disney Land the first night. The room was clean and quiet, and the restaurant on site served a wonderful breakfast each morning. Room pricing was very reasonable, and to top everything off, the front desk staff offered everyone warm baked on-site cookies every evening to help put a finishing touch on the day.
Two thumbs way up, very highly recommended, and can't wait for our next stay when we visit Calgary.

This is one the worst hotels I have ever been to . Right from the beginning , the hotel is under construction and this fact is not mentioned anywhere . The female that checked us in was very rude . After entering in our room , we realized that there were no towels and sink was clogged and all she could offer was you can book another hotel . It was so rude .
Then we were told that maintenance will come in the morning and fix clogged sink for both our rooms and no one came . At check out we same a lot of people complaining . I think management does not even care . No refund / free night was offered even though the lady promised that she will give us some discounts .
I am giving 1 star only for the amazing night auditor who was very very understanding , and was apologizing for our bad experience . Other than him , the whole staff seemed careless about their building and customer service .
I am a member at Choice but I am never booking here again .

I'd give it a 0 if I could. There's nothing I hate more than hidden fees and this hotel takes the cake for hidden fees. It all felt so sneaky. We paid over $250 for our booking, and when we went to breakfast we found out that we did not get free breakfast. It was $20/adult and $10/kid...with about 4 options to eat. We got 1 kid breakfast for $10, put $20 cash as that's all we had and the server assumed we were giving her a $10 tip and did not even ask if we want our change. Then, we found 2 water bottles in our fridge and foolishly assumed they were free so we drank them. At checkout we were notified that it's $3.50/bottle. There are free water refilling stations so don't use the water bottles.

Our flight departing Calgary was cancelled for 24 hours so we were put up in this hotel by the airline. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, special shout out to Stacey in the lounge who worked so hard to make sure everyone whose flight was cancelled was fed and full of drinks! Also special shout out to the chef that night, he was alone and still managed to get all the delicious food out in a timely manner! These two really stepped up and made our rather gloomy stay much more enjoyable!
The rooms were clean and comfortable, big soft pillows on the beds and you could control your own room temperature. The front desk staff also accommodated a late check out for us as we had so much time to waste the next day.
Thank you to the staff, you’ve really worked hard to turn our trip around!

Make sure you check your room that it has AC before you accept it. My room had the AC off when I entered and I promptly turned it on (it was 35 degrees outside) only to realize it was blowing hot air the whole time.
The staff know which rooms have AC and which do not. They pretend like they don't but they promptly "offer you a fan" because they know their AC doesn't work and hope you accept the measly fan. They will also try to offer you a tiny discount on the room to make up for it. But try sleeping in a sauna with 30+ degree weather outside at a hotel you paid good money for that can't provide standard amenities.
They KNOW the rooms have issues but they continue to provide it to guests. Shame on them.

Thank you kevinz9010 for taking the time to share your experience from your stay. We did encounter challenges with our chilling system during the heat waves of the summer. Although we were able to repair the issue, the demand on our system due to a sold out hotel was simply too much to keep up, leaving a handful of rooms with less than ideal air conditioning. Knowing that we had this concern, we proactivley tried to provide fans and discounted stays as a way to apologize for those guests who had unacceptable air conditioning. With the summer months behind us, we are working diligently to increase the capacity of our system to avoid any concerns in the future. We do hope we can welcome you back in the future and provide the level of service and accommodation we strive to provide.

I have never left a bad review check my profile all 5 stars reviews but this hotel don't deserve 5 stars review. I was told breakfast was included then went for breakfast was told it was $18 a person for powdered eggs the same breakfast i see at every other Hilton that I have stayed at that is usually included. You would think they would reward us for being Hilton members plus paying $270 for a room. They did offer it to me after complained but I was already not impressed and would rather pay for good breakfast at Dennys across the parking for less then they are charging at the hotel.
Not worth staying at this location even as a Hilton member.
Rooms were nice both times stayed would of returned

Thank you for your review, We are a full service hotel and as such, breakfast is not generally included in our rates. There are select service and limited service hotels without full culinary teams that offer breakfast included with their rates. These breakfasts are typically brought in frozen and prepared in a single infrared microwave oven by the same person who clears your plate. If a processed breakfast is the main reason to stay somewhere, we understand that we may not be the hotel for you. Thank you, Danny Marshall General Manager

Hotel looks nice and lobby is nice and cool, but service and room temperature leaves much to be desired. The room I was staying in had the temperature locked at 25.5 degrees. While I asked multiple times to have it adjusted, staff just kept saying “we will send someone up” but never did. Even with keeping all of the curtains closed to try to keep the sun from heating it more during the day, it often got up to 30+ degrees making it extremely hard to actually sleep or relax during my stay. I also didn’t once see any cleaning staff the whole time I was there. Not even so much as someone that could replenish coffee or towels. Asked front desk for another coffee for the room and each time was told “we will send someone right up”, but they never came. Not sure why they wouldn’t have just given me one there. Girls at the front desk were not very friendly either and when they saw I was disabled with a service dog, didn’t even ask before applying the “pet fee” to my room. While they did change it, it was frustrating that it had to be brought up considering that my dog is clearly trained and labelled.
The room did seem clean upon entry, but soon found old French fries and dirty socks that were clearly missed from previous guests.

Dear Cynthia-jean S, On behalf of our team, I would like to apologize for the experience you had with our hotel. We are in the midst of upgrading our heating and cooling system in the hotel and it's clear you had a room that was not performing as it should. There is no excuse for the lack of follow-up from our team and it will be addressed with the department heads to review with the team members that were on. While we strive to make every guests stay an excellent experience, it is clear we missed the mark on some things during your most recent stay with us. We appreciate the feedback and will be using it to mitigate future incidents from happening again in the future. We hope that you will try our hotel again in the future to see that your comments have made a difference. Thank you, Danny Marshall General Manager
