A beautiful place along the river. Quiet but close to the city. Walking distance to restaurants. A small refrigerator for use as well as glasses, wine key, razor, and other essentials were available. Breakfast was quite tasty and our hosts here helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

After spending a few nights in a sterile hotel for a conference I was attending, it felt like heaven to arrive at this wonderful b and b. Valinda and Helmut could not have been more welcoming. They were also incredibly helpful and went to considerable lengths to ensure I knew all the places to visit, where to eat or just...

If you are visiting Calgary this is the place to stay. It is close to downtown, Fort Calgary, the Zoo and Stampede grounds. And yet in a quiet neighborhood. The hostess Valinda was super. She pointed out places to eat and other bits of information. As Helmut was away we of course did not meet him. The rooms are excellent...

If you find a better breakfast in Calgary than this, tell the world! An outstanding place to stay, you just know everything has been thought out and prepared properly in advance. Seems Helmut has made most of the furniture including the double bed, just shows the level of commitment Helmut and Valinda are making to this place. We were made...

We only spent one night her but Helmut and Valinda were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed staying in an older style house and neighbourhood and the walk along the river bank behind the house is lovely. The room and breakfast were excellent.

Jan and I stayed here for two nights at the very beginning of our road trip around Western Canada and Alaska and again for two nights on our return. The owners, Helmut and Valinda could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and perfectly furnished and the breakfasts great. Valinda took the opportunity to introduce the guests...

Calgary was my fifth stop of a 17-day trip round Alberta in late July. Beautiful home inside and out. When I arrived, Helmut greeted me, and my first question was how old the house was, since it was in the style of the others in what is recognized as the oldest neighborhood in Calgary. He said it was built in...

Excellent location, lovely house, good food and caring hosts. One of the best Band Bs we have stayed in. An excellent base for the Calgary Stampede. The Fort is only minutes away. Look forward to returning. Joan and Keith England.

Valinda was most welcoming and soon made us feel at home as did Helmut when we met him later but you do need to tolerate cats, although this was made clear while booking. Maps & tips were given on what to see and where to go, even offering us free passes for some of the sights (the nearby fort was...
