A good stay. Clean basic room. Everything worked well. Good shuttle that you must book. It doesn't run 24 hours. No breakfAst included but they have a full restaurant. Just down the street are many small fast food places. Easy walk. At the airport tourist booth you can get a $99 voucher.
Don't let the name of the hotel fool you like I did. I booked this hotel to spend the night before an early morning flight. I booked right from their site. I guess I didn't read far enough down the site to see they don't offer shuttles to the airport. So to my surprise when we arrived to schedule it all, they don't me they don't offer shuttles, so then I said can I leave my car, and we will get a cab, they said they don't do that either. I could wait until the next morning to ask a manage, which was no help as we would already be at the airport. It was awfully confused to see so many vehicles in the lot, COVERED in snow with the wipers up, as if they were being left there long term...then all we wanted to do after a long drive was unwind in the pool and hot tub, only to find out the hot tub was down. We eneded up staying the night, and then taking our car to different hotel and leaving it there while away. Would never stay here again, just because of the lack of customer service and mislead name of the hotel.…
NEVER give this place your business! They are very untrustworthy and try to scam you. We travelled with our 3 kids and a baby and caught a flight into calgary late evening. We pre booked our room a mo th in advance knowing we would need the crib/ pack and play for our baby to sleep. We got into Calgary late at night and took a taxi because we were told they do NOT offer a shuttle. It was right on their website. (Later to find out we did not need to spend the 50.00 on a taxi because they sometimes offer a shuttle🙉. We get in to find out a family that walked in 40 min before us without a reservation took our crib that we booked. As it was almost midnight and we had nowhere to go we had no place for our baby to sleep. We book the large family suite with a bedroom and 3 large beds. We didn’t sleep a wink as we had no where to put our baby down. When we talked to the manager in the morning he said for lack of works “too bad for you!” I said you obviously do not have kids or you would know how important it is for a baby to have a safe place to sleep and the reason why we booked at his hotel a month in advance was because we were told we would have a pack and play as we were the first to reserve one for the night we reserved for. His staff were rude and they did not compensate our room which we did not sleep in because we had no safe place for our baby to sleep. Do yourself a favour and NEVER stay here.…
Excellent customer service! I had to leave an item until my return next month and the employees didn’t hesitate to hold it for me. To be completely objective, they don’t offer a free breakfast like every other Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed at, the “closet” had no hanger rail and wasn’t deep enough (about 4”) for hangers anyway (photo - hangers laying on shelf) and the heat/AC alternated from hot to cold all night. But their willingness to keep an item for me until my return offset these inconveniences.
Layover hotel arrived 800 PM. Called on the airport shuttle procedure before arrival, and was told take a taxi & they would reimburse me. Taxi driver walked into hotel front desk with us and it was all covered. Quick 10 minutes from the airport. Check in was quick, booked via Aeroplan points. Hotel is "new" in a upscale industrial area, other hotels here as well. NO ONSITE EATERY. Walked to the nearby Freeport Food Drink - Bar Grill two hotels over. Had a late dinner in the lounge. It was excellent. King suite was nicely appointed. One problem was the room doors slam shut. Great for security. Very bad when sleeping. Breakfast was very good! Shuttle back to airport ended up being the hotels van now, departing at 10 past on the hour.
We booked this hotel through Expedia and were looking forward to our stay, as we’ve stayed here before. Our flight was delayed coming out of Boston, so we missed our connecting flight because of it, we would not be able to make our reservation for tonight because we are stuck in Minneapolis. I called as soon as I could but they would not do anything for us and said they would be charging my card. I asked for the manager to call me back, nope, all I got was a call back from the front desk saying that since I booked through Expedia, I would have to call them. I call Expedia and they called the hotel who confirmed they have already charged my card and would not be refunding it. I’m really disappointed as this was a hotel I was planning on using for all our travels in the future. This is not a company who has their customers best interests at heart, it’s all about the bottom dollar. My recommendation, book at a better hotel who actually cares about their customers. Without customers, you have no business!…
Our travel group had a wonderful experience at this hotel! They arranged our booking for 63 people on very short notice after another hotel cancelled our booking last minute. On top of that they gave us a great group discount. We are a special summer camp for Ukrainian refugee kids in Edmonton and this trip was very special for them. I also have to give a very special compliment to the wonderful lady at reception, Anna. She made our group feel very welcome and could explain information to the group in their native Ukrainian language. Thank you for the wonderful service, Anna! Дякуємо!
My wife and I stayed here for 3 days during the stampede for a business trip. when I checked in I was put in a room with a handicapped bathroom - Room 112. when I brought this up to the very young desk staff they said "you requested that" I immediately stated that I didn't and they backtracked and stated rooms were tight during the Stampede and they gave me what's available. Oblivious. the property itself is nice but those behind the desk don't have an appreciation for customer service. the hotel has an airport that only runs limited hours. if you come in early or late they will call you cab and give you a voucher which can be somewhat stressful. The internet connection was not reliable. if I had a choice I would not stay here again
As a mom of one of the group of 35 peace officer recruits that stayed with you guys I would like to say Thank-you. You guy had a lady who worked breakfast that went above and beyond for all the recruits. You weren’t just the breakfast lady but you were a mom to everyone when us mom’s couldn’t be there. You didn’t just do your job, you encouraged, you worried and genuinely cared. I only got to meet you briefly as I was headed to my daughters graduation but I thank you so much. I hope the managers realize its people like you that made that hotel a home for the time the group was there.
The Good- Rooms were updated, beds were clean and comfortable, front desk staff were nice and the pool was warm/great hot tub. We enjoyed the mini ice creams and snacks we could buy from the market. The Bad- My daughters favorite and only hoody ( special order) went *missing* from our room, I hate to point fingers but the only others that accessed our room was housekeeping and it was hanging up on a hook before we left that day. There is no safe place to leave anything. Its sad to think they could just help themselves to your belongings. Breakfast was ok, the eggs were runny and the sausage was questionable, the bacon, muffins, pancakes, cereal and oranges were good though.
