Let's start with booking. I booked at the Radisson which I always book when I'm in Edmonton. The Radisson South. I went to the Radisson South which had a sign which stated it was temporarily closed. Well, when I booked I didn't realize that the Radisson South as advertised online is now the Radisson Convention Center which was 10 minutes away. Note to self: check the actual address. I'll own that but the website could have had a note stating that the Radisson South is now temporarily closed and that I was booking at a different location. The location did not have any means for food. And it is very far away from any restaurants, except for an Indian food restaurant about 10 minutes away. The kitchen was closed. There were not vending machines even. I understood that there would be a small breakfast-in-a-box concept at the front of the hotel in the morning. Alas, there was none. When I was in my room, I really wanted to lay back in the tub, turn some music on and relax. Where was the rubber stopper? I called down to the desk and asked and was told that there probably wasn't one. I was told to shove a facecloth in the drain. They were going to ask housekeeping but never got back to me. I tried the facecloth and it did not work well. As matter of fact, if only made the cloth rusty from the rust in the drain and I was not feeling too clean or relaxed. I was placed in a room with an adjoining room. The people on the other side of the wall had children and were noisy. It was not a noise worth complaining to the front desk about because kids were being kids. I had to put my headset on and to block out the noise when doing work on my computer. This is not the fault of the family, or if it was busy season, I would say it was not the fault of the hotel. However, there were less than a dozen cars outside and an empty hotel. It would be logical to place people at least in every second room on a floor. This was unacceptable to have to have someone in an adjoining room. I love the bed. It was very comfortable! I liked the in-room heat as I'm a very cold person and being able to turn the heat up in September was a joy. The housekeeping staff that I met in the hall were friendly. I will only recommend this hotel if there are no other hotels available and if you are only looking for a bed. I think next time I will stay at the Delta which was next door to the hotel I originally thought I'd booked on Gateway Blvd.

Dear Izotzman We apologize for the confusion about the location as the Radisson South has been closed since August of last year. On behalf of our entire staff at Radisson Hotel & Convention Center Edmonton - EDCC we apologize for the concerns you shared about your experience at this hotel. I have addressed the issues regarding the tub stopper and the room assigned to you with our team, and I assure you we are working diligently to ensure a similar situation does not occur again in the future. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit we can exceed your expectations. Kind regards Priyanna Guest Services Representative

It’s a family friendly hotel and safe. But elevator access needs to be recalibrated. It’s a hit or miss on our fob. Overall we liked our stay . Beds are too soft for us since we prefer a form bed because we are side sleepers 😊

The room price was way too high. The pool was in terrible shape the hot tub didn’t get hot, the restaurant was closed there was no breakfast included. The tv had some sort of weird delay when changing the channel. The outside of the hotel was pretty but the amenities were terrible. The price should have been much less than what we paid. The fridge in the room didn’t work.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It is a delight to learn that you find the hotel's exterior very pleasant. On the other hand, it saddens us to hear that your stay was anything less than satisfying due to the accommodation's value for money, availability of breakfast and restaurant, condition of the hot tub, pool and television as well as the functionality of the refrigerator during that visit. Providing our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable experience is of extreme importance to us and for that reason we are incredibly sorry that we may have missed the mark. We greatly value your feedback and it will be shared with our team for further improvements to our service. We look forward to having you back so that we may redeem ourselves and provide you an even better guest experience.

Stayed here on a whim on a Thursday as we planned to stay at the Fairmont for our anniversary the next night. All I can say is WOW. From the super friendly front desk to our “Premium “ king room that came with a air jet tub for 122 a night we were impressed. Fast forward to the next night we checked into the Faimont for 330 including valet. There was dirt and grime on the curtains and walls, holes in the sheets and even after TWO “upgrades” we ended up a room with a window so small I felt like I was in an attic. We cancelled the following night and went BACK to the Radisson. This will be our “go to” spot from now on. For half the price.
