While the hotel appears modest from the outside, the staff, restaurant, and rooms ensure that each guest has a restful, fun, and comfortable stay. The key are the staff: they provide superlative customer service. They are attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. They put customer in customer service.
The restaurant is well appointed with a well - rounded menu. The second floor views provide a bright space to enjoy libations and good company.
The rooms are comfortable and well laid out. The bed is comfortable with the space suited to meet your relaxation needs.
The location is reasonable central to downtown, north end, and close to all amenities. It is adjacent to Kingsway Garden Mall, walking distance to NAIT, and a short distance to any professional services, especially, Royal Alex Hospital and speciality health care.

Staff very attentive and everyone who works there seem to care about and like their jobs . Service is top shelf. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff in lounge and restaurant are caring and fun . The maintenence staff take great care of the hotel and house keeping keep rooms spotless.

My partner and I stayed 2 nights while shopping and otherwise entertaining ourselves in Edmonton. This location is great for getting around the city and the shape of the building made our room dead silent all night despite being next to 109th street. Breakfast was delicious and inexpensive, including fresh fruit, and it felt very comfortable and cozy to eat looking out at the lights of the city.

Beds, pillows and linens were so comfortable and clean. Pool and hot tub were easily accessible. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Location was easily accessible to shopping and public transportation. The rooms were quiet with no noise transferring from outside or other rooms.

New Reno’s are beautifully done. Reservation request for main floor, close to front seat as requested. My assumption at check in was that request was not read till we arrived. As a previous employee of BW I would always go through any requests and assign rooms immediately so guests were given what they requested and not given out randomly to other bookings.
No vending machine and one at front desk closed! Not particularly happy they closed Tim Hortons in hotel either.

Regarding your room assignment, we do our best to accommodate all guest requests. However, if the specific rooms are already occupied by other guests, we’re unable to move them to fulfill a new request. Additionally, some room types, depending on their features, may not be available close to the lobby. We apologize if this was not communicated clearly during your check-in. I also understand your concerns about the vending machine and the closure of Tim Hortons. While we no longer have a Tim Hortons on-site, we do offer a variety of options in our restaurant and store to ensure you have what you need during your stay. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have another opportunity to provide you with a more seamless experience.

I am happy to review that we stayed at the Best Western Plus in Edmonton’s city centre on August 20th, 2021 (we checked in at 8:00pm). There were a couple hiccups in the check-in as dates of stay and also the room we had booked were not immediately worked out due to having a common last name and having two reservations confused. The lady at the front desk was happy to track down the issue and get us to where we needed to be, I unfortunately was unable to catch her name. Once to our room, we had ample space for our family (2 adults, 3 children) and were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and amenities provided. The beds are comfortable and all appliances worked without incident. The family suite contains two separated bedrooms and a living room type area. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has two queen size beds… There is also a couch. Ultimately, I believe a family of up to 7 could comfortably stay in this suite. Our family also utilized the pool area and are pleased to report that the pool and water slide are a hit with young ones and the hot tub is a total win for the parents! There is not a continental breakfast provided, however, there is a Tim Horton’s and another sit-down restaurant attached to the hotel. I believe we paid a reasonable amount for what we received and would highly recommend this hotel to others in the future.

Never judge a book by its cover!
Even though their building appearance might look a bit old but the rooms they have are really clean and tiny !!!! I love it, they even have microwave just in case you have food to reheat. The staffs are really kind too. Their food (express breakfast) is delicious with affordable price too, only $9 for 2 eggs, lots of meat, 4 breads and fruit dish! Highly recommend!

I stayed in this hotel with my daughter during a dance festival at the Expo Centre. Free and easily accessible parking was a big bonus that made the overall price of the stay more reasonable than other options where parking costs $30 a day. We were able to get a room with a door in the middle which provided my adult daughter and I some privacy when needed while still staying together. The beds were soft and comfy, staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the pool. Having Kingsway Mall across the street was convenient for grabbing anything we needed, including Starbucks.

Two of us were in Edmonton on family business for a two night stay. Reservation and check in was simple, everyone from the front desk, the room staff and the restaurant workers including the chef were naturally helpful without being over the top. Obviously Best Western hire the right people for the job.
We had one dinner for four and two breakfasts in the Runway 29 restaurant, all the food was properly prepared, presented, tasty and fresh and a reasonable priced. The view from the corner windows was unobstructed looking out over the old municipal airport.
Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and you could tell that they took Covid 19 protocols seriously, the entire hotel looked and felt clean.
I have no problem giving this Best Western a high rating and I think that full credit should go to the hotel staff.

I am the general manager of the hotel. Both of the above answers are correct. There is no smoking allowed in the rooms. However, many of our guests do smoke. We have 5 entrances with easy access to the courtyard lot, and if you request to be placed close to one of those, you will not need to walk far to smoke.
As of now we no longer have any adjoining rooms. Only our Jacuzzi suites have the standup showers.
