Although, the hotel is in a great location in downtown Edmonton, there's absolutely nothing to do there after dark. In addition, the hotel is located across the street from a sketchy greyhound station. Parking is an additional $25 but there are free on streets parking in evening and weekends. The hotel is dated and renovation was on going around the...

Thank you for your comments. To address some of your concerns about safety, the city of Edmonton does have long term plans to revitalize the downtown area around the hotel creating a more safe and welcoming environment to visitors. The Sutton Place does have security personnel on site and offers access via pedway to over 100 retail outlets, a movie...

I booked this hotel, as my husband and I stayed before and hadn't had any issues, but I was full of trepidation, having read some of the more recent reviews. Basically, the hotel was convenient to my convention at the Shaw, and was one of the better rates we were given for the area, so I went with it. Pros:...

stayed at this hotel for two weeks on business. Check in was very quick and friendly. Room was large and comfortable. Had good sleep in the king size bed. Great location and easy access to Edmonton Center Mall by pedway as well as various office towers. The complex has the Chop Steak house in the lobby as well as the...

I struggled with this rating. The room itself was very comfortable and quiet. We slept well on the king size bed and found the pillows very comfortable. The bathroom was a little outdated, but clean. Now for the rest... Only 1 of 3 elevators was in service during our stay; made for long waits. And the doors on the one...

This is my second stay at this property. This is an older hotel with modern lobby charm. The rooms are older with an older AC system but my room was cool and warm enough. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The best thing about this hotel is proximity to restaurants and the downtown mall. Everything can be found...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel because our holiday party was hosted there and the company paid for our room. It took forever to check in, and then we got stuck in the elevator. You have to swipe your key and then hit the button, and it simply didn't work and the doors wouldn't open. The staff said...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in September for my birthday. I will have to say I have mixed feelings on this place due to a few factors. Pros: Room was nice, location was great walk to the mall. Cons: Check in took a while, parking in front was a almost impossible, getting vallet parking you have to...

This hotel is not up to usual Sutton Place standards. It's an overpriced dump that offers dirty, small suites, poor service, mediocre expensive food and it was chilly. It may improve when the renovations are finished but not unless they train their staff.

I love this place...well located and you can shop without going outside! there is a passerelle from the hotel to the shopping mail which is very convenient! there is a little starbucks cafe on 2nd floor and the lady working there is super friendly! The restaurant at the hotel is simply amazing...food is awesome and the staff is friendly!

Room was clean and well appointed. Had an issue during my stay but the manager, Mr. Harris was very professional and dealt with it to my satisfaction. Would return. Location is excellent for downtown business and shopping. Some construction was ongoing during the stay which made for some inconvenience, but nothing major.
